Good to ‘see’ you Frith, you have been missed, sorry to hear about your Aunty.
For yesterday,
A huge one to start, I slept right through the night with no comfort breaks needed, can’t remember the last time it actually happened but it was oh so welcome to have such uninterrupted sleep.
Our project to extend the pollinator beds in the garden continues, now prepared and awaiting soil conditioner before planting up. Our local recycling centre offer mulchy goodness foc so we will take trip in next few days.
Worked girlie on the lunge over poles and apart from one minor disagreement she was a good girl.
Home for a late lunch and then sat in the sun to finish my book, the much lauded R Osman, personally I was rather underwhelmed but just my opinion.
Crumpets for supper then settled down for LOD, oh my!10 -
Okay you lot......no spoilers on LOD......GOT IT ?
FRITH ! Excellent to see you and many congratulations on forthcoming heating.
AMP, you made me want to cry..........in a good way.
Still no DD, House Elf and He Who Cannot Be Mentioned......hope all is well. And where is D4V ?
So a huge pleasure that kept playing in my mind when walking Tiggy this morning. When I came home on Friday she was lying on the floor in the hallway. She didn't recognise me with her diminished eyesight but her nose went up and then she went potty. Attacked me with kisses so I sat on the stairs to let her do her thing. Then she ran to the front door and turned around and ran to the back door. This running backwards and forwards to both doors went on for a good 5 minutes. She would stop on each journey to plaster me with kisses and her joy was very vocal. MY joy was palpable, tangible (SP?) and now lingering. I think this equates to five hundred and twenty-two pleasures............
Have an excellent day

And big worky day number two is done!Woke 20 minutes before the alarm went off at 5am! Bah!Quick doggy walk.Busy start to the day. The middle of the day was reasonable, kept going but not in a mad way. Did a photo shoot for the ‘next new thing!’ Then ate it!DD1 was passing by work so she came in and waited on me whilst I did paperwork stuff and then we came home together.
lovely welcome home from my doggy!50p in tips! Pffft! But in the jar it went!Had some leftover carrot cake ...shared three ways. It’s been a pleasant looking day ( from afar in the kitchen)12 -
Long walk with friend this morning in glorious sunshine ☀️
My first siting of goslings this year - so cute 😊
Lots of nesting birds, swans, coots, moorhens, geese and even a heron.
Walked a little longer than usual and was quite done in by the time I got home.
Revived by lots of cold water and then homemade chicken and veg soup made from leftovers from yesterday’s dinner.
I agree with Laineyabout Richard Osman’s book, I don’t get what all the fuss is about!
As for Line of Duty - just fantastic!
A wave 👋 to all our MIAs, hope you are ok, you are missed ☹️Night all 😴

1. A sunny, crisp morning.
2. Work over for another day. I'm walking away from people where I can now to avoid negativity. It has been helping me.
3. Took leftovers in for lunch.
4. Watered the garden. More blossom on the fruit trees.
5. Glass of wine in the garden. Listening to the birds.11 -
Fab pics Paulie.
For yesterday,
Thick fog when I woke up, it hung around until 11ish and then quickly disappeared to be replaced by warm sunshine.
Trip out to post office in next village, the road where I usually park was being resurfaced so I carried on for a bit and walked back, part of the village I hadn’t seen before and I enjoyed admiring the gardens.
Fun in the sun with my girlie.
Washed down garden table and chairs then sat for hour or so watching the bird activity. I was joined by Capt S so tea and cake may also have been involved, my little shadow sat at my feet catching any crumbs.
Meat free Monday so we enjoyed sweet potato nachos, you slice and bake them to use instead of tortilla crisps, very tasty and will have again.

Oooft at the alarm clock this morning but quick walk with doggy, then into work for an hour or so.
Then it was round to the mothers to go to her GP for her second vaccine then we went to a supermarket! She’s not been out much at all in the last year so not as aware of the ‘etiquette’ of socially distancing. She gave me a death stare when I said her cream cake was squashed, it wasn’t but it looks could kill...
Home and had a snoozette. And hurrah Masterchef Australia is back on so have watched both episodes. We vicariously know of one of the contestants! ( friend of a friend in Melbourne)
Out in the garden. Potted up some plants, weeded, planted summer bulbs. Was quite mild ( not cold but certainly not warm) shoved some seeds in the ground with a view to ‘well they were only 19p at lidl!’11 -
Paulie, great photos there.
1 Hoovered and vaxxed all of the upstairs.
2 Our pond needs some tlc, as yesterday the 2nd of 2 pumps stopped working. So foam inserts ordered, barley straw ordered, fed the “things” in there, I’ve no idea I know there are newts and somehow a few fish. DH spent the day cutting concrete slabs and burying the pond pump from view.
3 Lunch was a hm pasty, and tea is leftovers turned into a big pasta bolognaise all in one dish.
4 I did a bit of gardening, but still need to mow I am trying to hold off a fairly long while for the bees and butterlies. but will need to do it Thursday, I have seen some beautiful butterflies passing throu.
5 Relaxing this evening or rather feeling achy from gardening.
