Both DH and I are feeling the lockdown wobbles today, but it will pass. I’m moving onto trying to grow garden things, so looking forward to nicer weather for the day tomorrow fingers crossed.
1 Left over takeaway is tonight’s dinner for us both, does that in affect, also half the price of it if makes double the meals?
2 A loungy type of a day, a tiny amount of tidying, a washing load the bare minimum really.
3 DH chatting with his mum on the phone, I am pleased their relationship is good now.
4 Topped up the bird feeders and seeds.
5 Saved.

Good morning. Was a bit too tired last night to post my pleasures so here goes.Woke at 8.30am! Oh my goodness! Even more Oh my goodness that the doggy went as long.Short slippy walk in the sleety snow and a much better non slip longer walk later when it was dry.We had a bigger lunch ( more like a dinner) as DD2 was working evening shift so it meant we had a proper meal. And hurrah the leftover from work baked potatoes have all been used up! And half a packet of sausages were used up. Some cabbage and sprouts and cauliflower.Picked up a rug locally. Then hummed and haahed where it would go and it’s now where I’d originally intended. Have a huge rug that almost fills a room that I lugged to the lounge but didn’t like it there. Took new to me one upstairs but didn’t like it there so back down to where it was originally intended! Took the rug out from under the dining table ( not easy on my own as table’s very heavy) and it’s now in the lounge ( for now) and the big rug is under the table (and beyond) and looks lovely. All floors and rugs hoovered and floors washed. Then I started looking for something that goes with something else so I can give it away. Not much use on its own. Can I find it? Grrrr! So that’s today’s task to try and find it and sort out as I go along.Dropped a book off at a friends.Dropped something else off that had been inadvertently put in with a bag of charity stuff I’m holding for a friend until her project reopens. It had been in my car meantime so as I was out yesterday I dropped it off. Less clutter for me.We’ve been our early morning walk which wasn’t terribly slippy , just the occasional patch of frost. Need to go to supermarket for mum today and will do my shopping at same time. Then go and see what needs doing at hers.Have a lovely day.Sue big love to you both as always x14

Ah purple_kitten I hope your wobbles steady!
1. It's FRIIIIIDAY! Woohoo! I looked at my time sheet last night and it reads 12 hours, 11 hours, 10.5 hours, 12 hours etc. I mean, really! I'm a salaried consultant so I don't get overtime, but if it carries on beyond next week they'll just get another person to help me. On the up side, I do feel like I'm performing well and obviously more billed hours is good for my appraisal.
2. Food stuff. No takeaways this week, stuck to the meal plan, nothing thrown away. Also, my sourdough starter looks to be ready so we will have our first go over the weekend. We will pick up some nibbles and booze tonight but that is planned and will come from pocket money. Yum.
3. Been so busy I haven't spent any money!
4. Starting to notice the days getting lighter.
5. Surviving a stressful situation and don't feel anywhere near drowning, just tired.
On a less good note, we got the survey back from the new house and there's a plant on the land that looks like Japanese Knotweed. Need to go back and investigate. The photo he took isn't great and there are leaves which is unusual for JK. Hmmm. The asbestos and dodgy wiring did not scare me, this does!15 -
Good news on your scan Cranky 👍
It is four years today since our beautiful Mum passed away, I miss her everyday and still talk to her in my head all the time. You lovely people were there for me then and still make me laugh & smile with all your pleasures, thank you ❤️
For yesterday,
Rain, so much rain, the grass was soggy when I went out to top up the bird feeders.
Not exactly OS but I ordered a linen summer dress in the sales and it arrived yesterday, love it so can now look forward to the warm weather and wearing it.
Saw my girlie, still raining and had no enthusiasm for doing much so just gave her a good groom then sat with her in the stable while she had a doze.
Enjoyed another two episodes of Staged, this time with S Pegg and N Frost, very funny.
A mini bar of dark chocolate, the hollowlegged ones got us a selection box of a well known brand for Christmas and we’ve been eeking them out.

Lainey hugs
House elf congratulations for yesterday.
1. Work ok. Frustrating at times.
2. Text conversation with my sister. She is getting a puppy soon.
3. Roads were quiet perhaps people are working from home.
4. Tea of Spanish omelette. DS2 didn't like eggs either. It's a meal that I don't think DH feels is vegetarian. He does like meat.
5. Now off work till Tuesday.15 -

Hugs, Lainey - always difficult days, no matter how many years it's been
Pleasures for yesterday
1. My first job interview in 27 years went OK - i don't know if i'll be offered it (or even if i'll take it if they do offer it to me) but i didn't eff it up and that's the main thing.
2. Wrote next week's lecture and activity.
3. read some more of my book
4. chicken and chorizo bake for tea - was nom
5. banked.
Have a nice day all - we are planning a loooong walk today.
I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
I bought my neighbour some rtc flowers whilst food shopping. Lost my debit card and after an hour searching and having the manager of supermarket check CCTV came home and cancelled card. I kept the flowers. The pleasure is looking at them and not feeling guilty because I bought her a cake and flowers 2 days before. Still flummoxed as to where the card went as I had paid with it and hadn't left the store. Even the manager was confused.
Still love the fact that I recognise Flo & Co when they arrive and that they still stay together. I may have mentioned this before but one eats on the table whilst the other two take up sentry posts. Warning calls (this is our territory !) are put out, feathers puffed up and then they poop ! NEVER on the table. They really are the politest birds. This morning they had cake !
Had a lovely conversation with my Dad yesterday. Poor thing, he paid loads of money to have roof of garage replaced/ fixed (?) but it's worse than ever. He has been robbed ! Next door to my parents might be up for sale so I asked my Dad if he would buy it for my birthday. Of course he said yes.........tee-hee............
Love and hugs to all
