🎄Happy Boxing Day 🎄Thanks for all the pics folks........really need to work out how to do photos! Lovely to see you all 🙂
Christmas Day Pleasures
1. Quiet time before everyone else woke up.
2. Present opening with Buck's Fizz and Christmas tunes. Everyone was pleased with their gifts.
3. Posh Xmas breakfast buffet of croissants and choice of fillings. (Forgot the cream cheese so had Brie instead!).
4. Dinner was ready for 3pm. Crackers were a bargain from last year, so popped in a scratch card, and 3 of Us were winners! Food was a success. No room for pudding until 9pm 🤣
5. Played Kufu and watched Soul en famille. DH and I went to bed about 10pm, leaving the young people to work their way through their Xmas stocking bottles of spirits 🙄
There have Also been moments of serious arguments amongst the young people ☹️Have a lovely day 🙂In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)

Good morning
Sounds as if there have been some good Christmas days in the parish, despite everything.
Love the photos. No one ever looks the way I imagine them!! I remember a Radio Luxemburg DJ with the sexiest voice, and when I saw a picture of him he was ancient!! I was about 15 so he was probably about 40! I went right off him. Now I'm ancient and everyone in photos looks young!
S Sue - I hope your day went well, and that visitors were allowed in your area. Wishing you seasonal love and peace.
D for V - I thought of you x
We had a lovely day. DD and partner came for dinner and stayed all afternoon. It was lovely and felt very relaxed. Lots of lovely, thoughtful presents all round. Some of the best received were the cheapest, but absolutely perfect for the recipient. Very MSE here.
Lots of texts, whatsapp, messenger etc with absent friends, near and far. Technology has helped a lot recently.
After the visitors had gone, and a little lie down, I decided to tidy round in the kitchen. I was wiping the inside of the oven door, and it came unfastened at one hinge!! I'm glad it waited until after the dinner was cooked! We decided to shut it until a later date. And have a drink and a think.
And now back to 'normal'. Going to check out the sales for warm jumpers ( not today though). I fear there may be a few more weeks of meeting on park benches.
Happy Boxing day everyone

Happy to read that many had a good Christmas 🎄 day 😊
We had a cooked breakfast at our Christmas set table in the new kitchen/diner with lots of twinkly lights and candles and the fire roaring - very civilised
Ditto Christmas lunch but with the doors and window open as son turned up and stayed for lunch 😊
Lunch was a success and also enjoyed by the oldies we delivered to
Lots of lovely presents including Escape to the Chateau book, the Yorkshire Shepherdess book, a Himalayan salt lamp as well as smellies and choccies! 🎁
Lots of whatsapps and photos exchanged with the family throughout the day
Chilled afternoon and evening on our own with a bit of tv, reading and a glass of port 🍷
Have an enjoyable, peaceful Boxing Day 😊14 -
Loving the sound of the Christmas celebrations.
For yesterday,
It was just the two of us, or three if you count small dog, but a lovely day was had.
We had some lovely presents, including a large number of books and treats, small dog was delighted with her new rope toy but as always the best bit for her was ripping up the wrapping paper.
Lunch was tasty and it took a good long walk afterwards before we could face the trifle!
Cold and sunny with a beautiful sunset, no snow although reportedly cathedral city had some.
Playing Yahtzee and cards in the evening with a programme listing the top 50 songs from the 80’s playing in the background, much singing along going on and this become increasingly silly as the level on the bottle went down 😉15 -
Amp
it was tugging at me yesterday and this morning it 'came' to me. You look like a Christmas Genie that's just popped out of a magic lamp. The hairstyle, scarves, swirling around your feet.
It must be true because you certainly do not look your human age.............
Big kiss

Has the usaul alternative chrimbo lucheon last day of fresh fillet stakes, mushrooms and onion rings No Sprouts! Very tasty as well! Started with the EdBurgh brakefest of fresh salmon inn scrambled egg, and then we had the much. For tea we lit up the xmas pudding and served with bourbon sauce. Was a tad warm as a big splash of the bourbon hit the sauce. No brandy used since May 82! Kitty hads her treats as well. Santa forgets his trainset again!
Watched the usual on the flix box, a train video, thens the Ted and Ted2 flix through the player of the rays. Cheeses and too much wobbleades were consumed! Butt is chrimbo!
Tuck Kitty for a walk round her parish yesterday, she is love inn it here now, she has full use of her swing door flap now and is getting used to opening doors. Only taken her a few months too do so!
Well ons too the day of Box! Has the usual brakefest of snorker and best back, served with mushrooms and a poached egg on the toast! All served up by BoPsie! Very tasty and tum was rubbed!
Kitty, bee inn a madam, has bin inn a rite huff this day! She flew outta her swing door and I found her sulk inn on her lawn! She is eating though! I just thinks she is bee inn a madam!
PM2DD All set for the football! Though still trouble at the Theatre of Fish. Money bags has not put the dough on the table! I doubt he will!
Now as repeated buy BoP over and over again and I hark about it! BoP has not changed his elect and gas supplier since telling E.On to go and wander 18 years ago and has bin with Scottish Power since! His bin with them since MANWEB days! Nows I cheat on the your stitched dot con websight every month, they has my details! Last month they said my supplier has a better deal for me only through their website, the your stitched one, and I tuck them up for every word, again! Not four the thirst time either, they did so last April! Nows I checked on the eve of the xams top found outs that it is the cheapest available and it said, I has too luck no further! Now inn years of bee inn on the best tarrif +/- £20 a year, I has none of the hassle of switching, being on the wrong DD oir being with a fly by nite supplier, and then stuffed onto a high tariff!
Follow BoP for other saving ideas and recipes!
Wells nows I is watching the bash of the big on the box withs me mug of tea (cups are for coffee and we has no cups!). Decent biscuits are bee inn aten!
