Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son went for a bike ride.
3) Hens OK. Bala - they're not ill, they're inside by law to stop them getting avian flu. Unfortunately, a robin had got into the greenhouse which is festive, but also potentially lethal for the hens.
4) Also popped to the charity shop, Tuffins and to get some more layers pellets.
5) My sister dropped our Christmas presents off.
6) Tasty tea of BBQ spare ribs, wedges, corn on the cob and PSB.
7) Watched the Spiderman film.
8) Just come off the phone to my school friend.14 -

Morning All, thought I would share this with you.
Yesterday met and spoke to a Lady who was buying Christmas cards and Scratchcards for some colleagues. She delivers parts and they help her when an item is too heavy for one to manage.
In the first lockdown, she was made redundant. Same job, different company. Husband diagnosed with stage 3/4 cancer. He decided to forgo chemotherapy but to accept any trial drugs.
She got a new job, paying a significant amount more. And she loves her job. He is still here when prognosis said otherwise.
Just thought I would share this lovely news from a very positive happy stranger. Really brightened my day.
Hugs to all
Bala

Good good Morning Folks,
Yay Frith 👋 : Sounds like you have found a good choice for DS2......I have always wanted to teach somewhere like that. 🙂
Monday
1. Won an auction on the Bay for a heat pump tumble dryer. (Ours has never worked Properly since the repair man 'fixed it'). This one is cheaper than the callout fee......I will list our old one on the Bay to offset the cost, and someone with 'repair know how' will also get a bargain.....I hope.
2. HM Baileys
3. HM haircuts.......DS1 is becoming quite skilled.
4. DD drove to appointments and shopping......We are still Speaking!5. Hairy Bikers recipe for tray bake chicken was a success, but took longer than I expected to cook, as doubled the recipe for 7 of us! We ended up eating at 8pm 🙄
Tuesday
1. Dyed hair pink.
2. DH was supposed to be visiting DMiL at new care home, but visit was cancelled due to C-19 cases. 😱 He dropped off her present. I finished the wrapping and delivered a present to a friend......I think that is the last of the wrapping. 🙂
3. DH made spaghetti bol for tea.
4. Utility floor has been grouted. Only a cupboard and shelves to finish and we can put everything back, and surfaces will be reclaimed 🥳5. Watched the Play that Goes Wrong....The Nativity..........Tee Hee. We are saving Upstart Crow. 🙂
Have a lovely day 🙂In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)
We have more in common than that which divides us. (Jo Cox)13 -
Watch out, there is a BOP about ☺️For yesterday,
A day of driving around delivering presents and having distanced catch ups, first to the yard with a bag of chaff for the girlie and presents for the staff.
Over the flat fens to see family, desolate at the best of times it certainly wasn’t looking its best on a grey winters day, loads of migrating wading birds though which luckily reminded me of road closure ( Welney & ) and I diverted through cathedral city.
Present swap with DSIL and met her gorgeous new puppy, typical pup with playing hard one minute and then crashed out asleep the next. Then DN and her partner with their dog, possibly the handsomest I have ever seen, an American Akita and impeccably trained.Later it was my brother’s turn to pop round, doorstep catch up and arrangements made for festive walk.
Phew, tired even though most of day spent sitting down, how is that? Easy tea followed by some Uni Challenge and then reading.11 -
