Happy Birthday to Mr SuffolkSue and glad to hear that you are being well cared for.

Phew S Sue ( it rhymes!) So glad you passed the colonoscopy test! And so brave too. And of course a happy gentle birthday for your man.
Raining again!! Seems to be every day lately. Those who live at the other side of our town, who were badly flooded last year, must watch the river levels anxiously.
DH has been refurbishing our bathroom and today the shower screen went back in. Will make a nice change from the blue tarpaulin temporary shower curtain! I helped steady it while he fastened it back in place. Crikey, shower screens is heavy!
Bits and bobs of mending this afternoon, but it's really dark outside and it's not easy sewing dark colours in artificial light. Has anyone ever tried one of those daylight lights?
And next, ironing. Shower screen looks like being the highlight of my day!
Happy ☔day everyone13 -
Echoing S Sue, a Happy Birthday to your DH, and so glad you got the all clear.Bala, oh yes there may be a few photo's over the next few days as they help rather a lot with festive stuff, they just like to be included.
1-5 Nestle is home, having convinced the vet of his hacking cough, they did various things, I bailed him out by paying the bill <ouch, in fact extremely ouch> he has an enlarged heart, so he finishes antibiotics and starts heart meds and diuretics tonight, if they have good affect, it will be for life.
6 More inherited stuff dealt with, I know it sounds daft but I couldn’t bring myself to shred dads loyalty and bank cards, but it’s about to hit 3 years and thought I should get my act together. So they are all shredded, and more of his general paperwork also shredded.
7 Three bean mild chilli and rice.
8 Delivered the by hand cards, popped the rest in the post. Returned a parcel for money back.
9 Christmas decorations are up, all be it slowly, about to put spare lights and baubles in a kilner jar but I suspect it won’t look amazing!

PK so glad you know what the problem is now. That's always half the battle.
Would love a photo of Nestle. Not picking favourites.......just my heart has gone out to him.

Hello. Just in an hour long walk with DD2. Did the first stretch with dog then put him in and we continued. He’d been very sick this morning though okay since but didn’t want to tire him out too much.
woke at 5 but hurrah didn’t need to get up ( apart from to feed dog) went back to bed.
went as far as supermarket. Got a load for the food bank. Stuff for us and stuff for a baby shower.
wrote a list of to do and all were done.Made sausages, potatoes, carrots and parsnips all in a casserole type thing in oven.Watched Northern Rescue on Netflix which I was enjoying then boof no more series!Doggy had chicken and rice for tea and will be same tomorrow. See how he is then.11 -
1. Slept well. Very unusual for me.
2. Work done - pleased that the negativity is over for the week.
3. Managed to collect painkillers from GP pharmacy.
4. Reading Christmas chronicles and having my advent candle lit.
5. A couple of friends had sent me pictures of their Christmas trees.10 -
For yesterday,
Receiving a parcel of secondhand books, my bedside table now has a reassuringly large pile on it.
Into horsey town, run a couple of errands and came back to car with over an hours worth of parking still available so passed it on.
Beloved got a festive parcel from a supplier that included posh cakes, very impressed as in my corporate days it always seemed to just be a calendar!
The sun came out, first time in days and the trees were dripping ice. Over to the yard and saw my girlie but by the time I finished the fog was back.
Made a Swiss cheese & spring onion flan plus a couple of mince pies with the leftover pastry.12 -
And more rain
To garden centre to meet bubble friend. Takeaway coffee and flapjack. We sat in a gazebo that's in the outside part. Open round two sides but kept most of the rain off. Fed crumbs to the almost tame robin.
Cleaned the shower unit. Our water is very limescaley. Felt as if I should be using a chisel rather than limescale remover and a cloth.
Bolognese sauce simmering in the slow cooker. Used up the last of the homegrown frozen tomatoes.
Mended a 30 year old king that DS made in Junior school. He comes out every Christmas, but his head was distinctly wobbly, and his crown kept falling off. Should be ok for another 30 years now
Happy Wednesday everyone

I’m sooo tired! Just had to drag myself off sofa to do the doggy walk ( in the wind and rain) and shall once again attempt to watch something I tried about three times to watch and kept dozing through.
woke at 6.30am...a lie in!Lovely long chat with friend in Melbourne. Time just flies when we are chatting.
Long walk with doggy and DD2. Found a new to him ball. Got rather muddy.
Then went down the woods with DD2. Another long walk.Made a creamy chicken pasta for tea which was eaten about 4pm. As we hadn’t really lunched.
First Christmas card through the post.Phone call from boy. 26 minutes this time!Called friend. Then crashed out on sofa!12
