  • 5 BoP who could have retired five years ago, continues to place his horse inn the 3:10 at Doncaster and today his pension was incremented again. This is because he has the bales of cotton at the mill and every day here is another day closer to a decent pension. Yet on buck of face just FryDay, younger friend was being congratulatory about now having her blue badge! Well I could have one if I wanted, but Jenny of the pulse says no! It maybe a badge of honour, but only to keep the poor poorer? If I can work, then my table can be filled with my things! Just that I have four people I know that have type 2 diabetes, three through diet have been cured, or do not have the symptoms, yet some send wants of getting their prescription for nothing because of type 2 diabetes? Yet I pay for my prescription on my heart?
Mind you I has holidays to do as well!
Of those cured, it was diet and proper foods like BoP foods!

4 Enuff of that. Watched last eve another dollop of the failed accountant! Mr Dodd. Saw him years back in Meggieshire. Was brilliant and a full on person. Must get the chance to see him again.

3 Then watched Lang lang, well part of his show from the Lincoln Centre! BoPsie was on a been there pointing night as well. Cocoa, proper drink not that foam version, was consumed. Hot buttered crumpets with marmite were suppered!

2 Yesterday we received from Argos a new tree for christmas. Alll singing and dancing lights of optic fibre. Baubles have dangled for Raffles and this morning the tree was still upright. Raffles came inn soaked! Talking of Raffles, again his paws has been where he should not and he had grit in his paw. After no scratches and a hissy, I removed said grit. He had his usual treat. No vermin were involved.

Hello, I'm making cauliflower soup for tea using up a cf that's been in fridge for ages! Shall have cheese on toast with it.

    Not done terribly much today.

A bit of painting in the bathroom and a couple of coats in an alcove in DD1s room, will need another and then I will paper the back . Probably a job for tomorrow.

Chit chats with all 3 children. See them next week.

Dog walks. At least they were dry.

A letter from my letter writing friend. Who just lives down the road!
  • 1 Revolting day over with, as is the job in December which was lovely to find out today.
2 Somehow not eating a lot of chocolate and I did instead make turkey mince with lots of grated veggies.
    3 Big hugs from DH.
4 I’ve applied for a couple of roles already.
5 Meal planned for the rest of the week.

    Just in, from.......

    1. So surprised by Sat's spookymen-related em, bearing a house concert addy[in fact a town of gown bistro]in the name of someone known as councillor, from mthly LP mtgs. There's a series: spookmeister Stephen+newest/youngest Spooky, Jack[known in Denmark]+double bass. Guitar and super tiny 4-string not exactly ukelele also play. Sold out. Just terrific. & in full spookymen fig: t-sh, badges, all black. Gorgeous night of intimate, so so different music/song.
Will look out other places/dates after this. There is something Stroudy, j'en suis sûr.....:-)

    2. Found both main fountain pens just before going out.

    3. More luscious lunch soup made with emporium rtc veggies. Good Get Well munch needed by &. Added some quickly made PROPER custard to portion of rtc[STRIKE] £3.50 [/STRIKE]69p this:
    https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/waitrose-spiced-pumpkin-sponge-pudding/546713-619785-619786
    &'s a makefromscratch-er generally, but this is scrummy v.g.

    4. Cannot make heating work. Have been trying for several weeks now, managing with hwbs instead. Manual won't print [over 70 tries from 360 deg attack], tho' earlier printed 2 ?s, one<mse, on same lines: hot water yes, heating no [Vailliant. EcoTec Plus 824]. NZ F, back for a cpl of wks, read, looked a bit, has worked out a way to over-ride flue cut-in, so there has been some heat at last. Felt so different coming in tonight. Big test tmrw morning: will heating start with timer?

    5. Still happy thinking of w/e rugby at EVERY level. Club 1st XV felled League leaders Tring, who were nasty, very. 2 straight red cards. All our Club teams had handsome wins, then speaking of &'s ABs :-))))))))))))))))))))), DESPITE WAYNE BARNES on whistle, thence>Alma and massed greetings from the French - all back after being in Paris last time. Le patron, Welsh, gifted lovely unsulking port>&. Another mighty Scottish performance. All fantastic for le ballon ovale.

May we all manage through early risings, fallings down, fed-upness, parental and family concerns, deadlines, uncertain world thinking.

amen, and all that comes after that

Stephen Taberner, with double bass, and JACK!
Stephen Taberner, better known as the whimsical mastermind behind the Spooky Men's Chorale offers for public amusement a musical wrestle to the death with his beloved double bass B, which typically involves a highly charming collection of songs, some moody, some funky, and some downright ridiculous.
For this pointless spectacle he will be joined by fellow spooky man Jack Fitzgerald Sice (Ukelele/Guitar/Vocals), who has seemingly mastered the difficult art of not only sounding beautiful in his own right, but subtly enhancing whatever else is happening at the time....which may ultimately involve the recruitment of the glorious and/or unformed musical talents of the audience.[yes. it did:-)))]

    Good Morning,

Hmm can I persuade DH to drive to Stroud?......

    Yesterday......working backwards!

    1. Free tickets for the Disaster Artist. Found by me this time! Went with Freeby Hunting friend. Very funny.

    2. Dinner with friend at Costco. Baked potato and cup of tea £2.30. We know how to push the boat out! :money: Caught up on our children's doings.

    3. Nice chat with new teacher at the end of the day....... This is what is lost by turning us into tick boxing automatons. No time to just chat and exchange information about our students, or curriculum or life.....everything has to be a training course or meeting or form filling. Our school used to be a community. I agree our OFSTED journey has made us a better school, but we have lost so much, and so many good people, along the way. :( (Sorry, rant over).

    4. Took lots of recycling into school to use with DT classes. (Decluttering is good).

    5. Nail polish rescued from DS1 GF stash she left behind. Nice colour.

Just put Beef stew into slow cooker, so no worries about food tonight.

    Have a lovely day :)

    1. Had a bit of an OS fail last night. Decided to make chickpea curry (from dried) - InstantPot said 35-40 mins from dried, but took well over an hour and were still too firm. By which point we were ravenous so I tipped them into the curry and we had some anyway. 20 more minutes in with the curry (after we'd eaten) and they're much more edible. But anyway, the pleasure is that DH is lovely and knows how lucky he is to be cooked for every day, so never complains!
    2. Left house very, very tidy this morning. Everything put away, and kitchen sparkling. Floors and bathroom still need to be done (and a proper dusting...etc etc) but at least I don't feel embarrased, which is good because...
    3. The door man is coming over today (whilst we're out) to survey the front and back door. He says we should be able to get them fitted before Xmas. The front door currently causes a freezing wind tunnel in the stairwell/hall so I'm very much looking forward to it.
    4. Work went well yesterday. Had no time for lunch but getting on really well with my boss and feel like I'm contributing.
    5. Managed to fit some French practise in before bed :)

Oh PK hope today is slightly better but the end is coming.

    Monday pleasures,

    After a rough night, a lie-in.

Bit of a leg stretch taking small dog around the field, more bare branches than even a week ago, winter is just around the corner.

    HM squash and cumin soup.

Watched The Lighthouse, https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09g0h8w, not sure if silly tablet will do link but excellent, if tad depressing and based on true story.

Lancashire Day and being cosseted by my own Lancastrian even though own silly fault for not sticking on.
