Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Let chickens out of the run (into the rest of the allotment) and they dug a massive hole and had over the top, wing flapping dust baths for ages!
3) Tidied up the garden and did some pruning.
4) Bigger son had a good time with 3 friends testing out mountain biking jumps. He was wearing his new helmet (bought yesterday) and the man who sold it to him was there on his bike! His tooth does not fall out whilst going over jumps, which is a relief.
5) Sold a dozen eggs on the side of the road.
6) Jacket potatoes, beans and cheese for tea then smaller son made flapjacks.14 -
1. Walk along the beach in Norfolk. It was very windy but enjoyed ourselves.
2. Coffee in a cafe - helped to earn up beforehand headed back to the car.
3. Drive home good no delays.
4. Met friends for a late Sunday lunch. First time we have gone out with them in the UK. Normally meet them in France.
5. Home and evening relaxing and watched Michael Palin new programme talking g about his pole to pole programme he made years ago.15 -
For yesterday,
Clear skies overnight so cold first thing and slight frost, wrapped up for early walk with small dog.
Enjoyed listening to DID with Floella Benjamin.
Later in the morning when sun out and grass dried, beloved cut it and I planted up some bulbs, just hope a few survive the mice.
Beef casserole in the SC, served up with carrot & swede mash.
Brilliant blue skies on second walk of the day, small dog caught the trail of some partridges and made that snorting/ snuffling sound that other spaniel owners will recognise.

Today's pleasures.....
Relaxed lie in, small cat on my lap.
Uplifting choir session this morning, working on the first part of Titanium plus running through other recently-learnt songs.
Finished choir session to find son had taken the dog out for me, good old lad. He got a hot cup of tea when they arrived back wet through.
I made the Christmas cake today. Looks and smells gorgeous. Fruit soaked in whisky for 48 hours beforehand.
Dog got another walk after lunch, this time with me. Wet and cold out there but she had fun running around.
On the way back I noticed the fallen leaves everywhere, for the first time, obviously I had had my eyes closed before now.
Hot elderberry cordial in a mug, soothing, warming, nice tasting and antiviral.
Now listening to son's favourite radio station, Berliner Rundfunk 91.4

Big days done but I’m helping out later in the week which will go towards new tyres!Busy enough though a bit stress at times, I like to be very organised and have everything just so and to a particular time line and that just wasn’t happening today! Anyway got there in the end! And reasonable tips too.Was a horrid start to day but brightened up mid afternoon.Friend was giving away two chests of drawers ( very heavy) so have to somehow get them upstairs! DD2 drawers were broken so ideal and free too!Quick doggy walk.Met a beautiful puppy! Sharp teeth though!Knowing I’m in for the night!nargleblast I love the Titanium song, OH had a titanium plate where his jaw once was. I always think of him when I hear it!Cranky is all well with you? Evening all
Five pleasures:
1. Starting a new box of (nicer) teabags.
2. A lovely serendipitous discovery for the bit of my research I'm working on at the moment.
3. Crossing things off my ginormous 'to do' list - had hoped to have done more but at least I've done some.
4. Sorted out the fridge and put the dairy and eggs together on one shelf and realised that there isn't much stopping me from making the switch to being vegan now. I'm going to consume those last bits of food but not replace them then give being animal-free another go properly.
5. Lovely afternoon nap on the sofa under my duvet.
Sweet dreams

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Left half dozen eggs for the lady who wanted some each week. I'm not sure how I am supposed to get payment for them as I leave them on the step!
4) Went to Hereford for driving practice for bigger son. Hadn't been yet this year! Many shops closed down including at least 3 charity shops. Had a cup of tea in the church cafe then lunch in my favourite cafe.
5) Went to Aldi then Sainsburys as we had run out of everything including stuff not bought very often e.g greasproof paper.
6) Watched Who Do You Think You Are?11 -
1 I felt awful when I woke up, and went back to bed, I woke up just before it turned afternoon, pleasure to be able to rest if needed. I’ve booked a docs appointment as the asthma seems to need a hand, and there was an apt available, another pleasure.
2 I got on with taking down the large front room window netting, washing and whitening it while it was doing that in the machine, I washed the window and tidied the window sill before rehanging it all.
3 I moved a couple of big flower pots from the front of the house to the greenhouse in the hope of keeping the flowers going for a third year.
4 DH and I went through some older digital photo’s where we look younger but had just moved in the baby palm tree wasn’t 20ft tall, and the photo’s of the house look cluttered and less clean and tidy than now, so it’s nice to look around and see progress and look back to see what was what.
4 Pork roast joint for dinner, with l/o carrots, cabbage, sprouts, new pots and stuffing.
5 More napping.

Hoping Bala is ok?For yesterday,
Saw a magpie feasting on elderberries on way to the stables, just the one so obviously said good morning.
Lunged girlie in the school, she was a tad distracted but that was possibly down to the fact that the horses have been moved to the winter paddocks so she had a whole field of fresh grass to get back to!
Chat with fellow livery owner.
Watching a pair of nuthatches extracting whole peanuts from the feeder and hiding them in various places around the garden, including under the outside kitchen windowsill. Such pretty birds.
Felt a tad under the weather, sneezing a lot so took myself off to bed with a honey & lemon drink and covered in Vicks.
