Thank you for the good wishes. What a palaver it has been!
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Dentist appointment number 5! New tooth was produced and fills the gap nicely. Photo to follow!
4) Went out for breakfast to celebrate.
5) Filled in an information sheet for a local company so I might be able to take advantage of the Green Grant.
6) After lunch, went to my old primary school friend's parents' house. The wife writes pieces for our local parish magazine and she wanted to interview bigger son about his time in Nepal. It was funny to be back in a house where I used to go and play, from the age of 5, after so many years!
7) A jolly phone call from N College about smaller son. We have one more proper look round then a teacher will come out to teach/chat at home a few times then he'll be starting. This won't be until after half term. Obviously County are now playing silly beggars about providing transport but the College are going to "have a word...".
8) Made HM chicken nuggets and potato wedges for tea, with baked beans.
9) Lit the fire and had a tidy up.
10) Have sat watching television since then and will have to get up just now to get bigger son from his friend's house.

Frith - a new tooth takes getting used to according to DS2.
1. Good journey to Norfolk very little traffic.
2. Went round a lovely garden which had been recommended to us. It was well worth a visit. In March and October entry if free with a RHS card so another bonus.
3. Had lunch three-quarters a ploughed which I enjoyed but not had for years.
4. Missed the rain. It started after we had been in the car for 5 minutes and was torrential.
5. A good fish pie in a pub close to the hotel.14 -
For yesterday,
Up early so made a bread dough to prove whilst we had breakfast.
Cleaned the bathrooms and did a general tidy up to be ready for the w/e.
Over to the yard, no work for girlie but she had a pamper including a tidy up of her legs and chin, no lady should have a hairy chin!
Postie had brought a book, a secondhand copy of Cobs Can so that’s my reading material sorted for the weekend.
Tasty tea of king prawns in a lentil dahl, no rice but we did have a naan, yum.13 -
well done frith re ds2 and well done dentist re ds1
mhags your trip to the CS sounds good
For yesterday (was supposed to be on AL but had a few meetings sneak in, including yet another informal chat re. job interview on 21st)
1) glorious sunrise. Walked the boys up to the top of the road to admire fully then at lunch time took them for a longer walk up to the observatory. definitely advantages to working at home
2) dd2 reminded me of AL and invited me to join her in town. Met friend on way down and he said he and another friend were going to mennies - pubs in Dundee from 6pm for 17 days not allowed to be open after 6 and no alcohol inside - mennies has no beer garden :-( besides which the footie is only shown inside in places that do
3) lovely time with dd2 - i treated us to some bath bombs from lush, then late lunch for her and cinnamon bun and coffee for me
4) on way back called in at a gallery and bought a print (#130 / 1000) of pubs in the west end. Was £75 and i've been considering it for some time. Very happy with it
5) then into mennies - cos my 2 single male friends are a bubble and dd2 and i live in the same house we were allowed to sit at the same table (the rules are so complicated!) last orders 5:30,drink up bell 5:45 to be done by 6. everyone was very well behaved - i'm not at all convinced that pushing people back into their own homes will work - certainly the pubs i visit are amazingly well organised, i know homes aren't and although we're not allowed to visit each others' homes unless bubbled, at £15 a game for the premier I'm not convinced everyone will be so well behaved. But i may be biased, specially since i was looking forward to watching leicester on the 18th and again on the 20th with Dr No (he seems to think i bring them luck!) Roll on 26th!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good luck to Frith and son
Yesterday’s pleasures:
Woke up at 5.50 in Cornwall to the sound of fishing boats going out
Jumped out of bed and watched 3 boats leave the beach - they push them out with a tractor
Last cooked breakfast whilst watching the sun glinting on the water in the Cove
Final tidy round and photos taken to add to our memories
Long slow drive home, luckily we can share the driving. It took nearly 9 hours so we had a takeaway curry for dinner 😊
Will miss Cornwall but nice to be home. Have a good weekend everyone.13 -
A predecessor?
The Pacific in San Francisco.
TILAMS has bin found! So I has bin putt inn nonsense ear for 8 plus years!
BLT or Bacon & Egg Banjo? Oh, and no chips on them gnashers!Right, Sonny!
Here's your BoP Dollop this day! Was at the Docks last day, running me rig! All was good, Lots of paperwork too do on Monday! Butt keeps BoP happy! Lots of tea was drinked and me packup was done by BoPsie. Wafer and chocklate role! All was good!
Then came home for mean bean chilli! MInce, fired in pan with chopped onions, added toms and has bins of kidney, with a squirts of the tom puree! Good for u and home made.
Failed in the flix viewer last day. Both were carp so not reported, so had some hare motorbikers! Wobbleades and cheeses were consumed! Nice! I will try and get a flix for the night!
Has the usual snorker fest this morning, with loads of mushrooms and grilled tom, poached egg! Mes poached egg had an air burst!
Kitty has been boosted this morning as well, she's on her Mousse, ready for the football! DD #UTM! Bringing her on gently! She was out in the yard last day, BoPsie lost her! Butt as Kitty has bin out front before, she managed to keep BoPsie worried for a while, till she popped back home! Now as I say, Raffles was king strutt on our estate and we now nose he was being fed everywhere as Kitty is wolf inn down her decent foods!
Not much else to say, apart from Keep Safe!Nothing begins with 'N' and ends with 'G'

Pirate Pete you didn’t initially talk such nonsense though! That must have came later. But Jenny was generous with her love right from the start! VJSMUM was just back from Montreal and heading to USA, DD was in Poland and Frith was even then fighting for her boys! And so many (from then) familiar names, Chickenopolis, Sparrer ( such a dear, dear person), Old Tractor, Ladyhawk, CCP, Kittikins and others who flitted in and out. And of course our much loved Ampersand who still had intermittent internet ...as did I...I’d forgotten how dire it was! And the annoyance of writing a post just for it to disappear! I’m at the point when OH had just finished 8 weeks of radiotherapy. One of our most direst experiences in a list of dire experiences. He was so ill but still I managed to find positive moments each day!Anyway back to today. Up early and out with doggy ( who’s currently snoring on my knees!)
Went out for a scone this morning with DD2...along with loads of others ( though socially distant of course) . Only cafes open in Scotland now , no licensed premises. For 16 days. Then we took a meringue to the mothers. DD2 did her kitchen ( again sigh! ) and I did her meds. And hoovered. Then put 10 days worth of papers out for recycling.
Home and quick doggy walk. Though I was quicker than him , he just wanted to sniff at everything.By this time it had brightened up so put a couple of loads of washing out and it had a good blow as it was a tad breezy.Enjoyed watching the birdies.Picked some lavender.
Heatings on. Jammies are on and it’s all cosy. That’s the days off all done!12 -

Awh Sue was never about strength, I had my fair share of ‘moments’ but as a born optimist I had to look for positivity each day to keep me going, I still do. Take care!PS washing machines and ironing featured heavily in my posts the last 10 years!13
