Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.

6) Did the online pub quiz with bigger son,
7) Just finished speaking to my school friend.
8) Will get a hot water bottle and cup of tea just now then watch Gardeners World.
9) Not in chronological order now but bigger son's new tooth working OK (apart from when he sneezed and it ended up rather horrifically on his chin !!!) and he bought a full face bicycle helmet today (a bit late).13 -

Gate too Three Doom?
Outside the Model Industries Building on Alcatraz Island! Shifted when a storm hit the place in the 30's! No one ever got off there, but they could view the gate!
Oh Mhags, TILAMS kind of was good, but he got a yellow card for being a brute! Another precursor was killed off for being too correct about ten years ago and was vaporised by the MSE! Used to list me fives, but BoP got a lecture and another card, so hence now it is just the bull and that is it!
DD One point, beginner! Mes and BoPsie has over the 33 years! Now with another nonsense from BoP!
Good too see Kitty getting her feet on the footie, and making the making the mariners get a point! She is being trained on the whether as well! This morning she tuck sum fooding, and had a whole dish of pate! She needs it, and is now sloping it off on BoP's jeans!
Talking of fooding, BoP has finished off his honey monster this day and will be back on the lesser serials from tomorrow. Was goodwith the ice cold fresh milk, orange juice and a cuppa! Also had a marmite crumpet!
Talking offs the decent foods, last nite we has the pizza from the A1D! and topped up with oniuons and peppers. Very Tasty, with wobbleades, cheeses! We watched the Rakuten as we has voucher, Stuck on You. Very good and is now inn BoP's free library!
Just bin to use voucher at the w8r5. We needs the lose tea, and marzipan for the loaded xmas cake. Oh and we gots come chocklate digestives as well! BoPhas the fruits brewing at the moment! Soon will be cooked off and iced over. BoPsie checked the lime marmalade to stick the marzipan was inn date, and it is Oct 202! So as long as BoP cooks it before his birthday, we be ok! Bourbon has been soaked inn too the fruits!
Well we has the brewed chilli for dinner! More tomorrows! Now that was then!

Yesterday
Went to a local pub for a meal. It's one that did take away during lockdown so it felt good to support them. We were in a small room , only 2 tables, and no-one on the other table ! Very socially distanced. Beautiful food and good company. A real treat in these tricky times!
Today
It's stopped raining!
Am going to oil our new garden bench. It's not been dry enough lately and I want to do it before winter sets in
Have finished my lap blanket so am starting a rag wreath next. Think I will make a start then see if DGD wants to 'help' finish it .
The sun has gone in now so might be a bit cold for bench oiling! Hopefully I'll warm up doing it!
Happy Sunday everyone

Ah mhags - the days when we could travel. Have you got to the bit where i drove 2000 miles around Pennsylvania on my own with the children cos OH lost his passport and couldn't join us? He's lucky to still be married after that. We had a fab holiday though.
Pleasures for the last however many
1. Drove to ICT with DS - lovely to chat to him for 3 hours innn the car.
2. before that, i made 11 jars of green tomato chutney! I have enough green tomatoes for another 11!
3. We visited the ffestiniog railway on Friday - had a lovely day
4. Logging yesterday - helping to put back what we've taken (with consent).
5. More coast path today. 15 miles walked to close a gap from Clynnog Fawr to Caernarfon. A much nicer day than predicted weather-wise. We have now walked from Chester to Newgale Beach in Pembrokeshire - frustratingly, we are just 10 miles short of halfway!.
We've walked everythinng highlighted pinnk!I wanna be in the room where it happens15 -
Sneaking back in and it’s good to ‘see’ everyone and glad you are all still posting. I have so many posts to catch up on, but will make the effort later.
Pleasures for the weekend.
The last of the tomatoes picked and shared out with the neighbours and the garden put to bed for winter. Just have to research how to overwinter new strawberry plants in pots, I’m assuming putting them in the greenhouse will be ok.
A lovely walk around the park with Mr. M and the dogs followed by Sunday lunch with all the trimmings.
Long chat to Mum and Dad on the phone, lovely to hear they are well and upbeat, they don’t live nearby and I have only seen them in person twice since last December and really miss them.
Christmas shopping has started and I’ve ordered the bits and bobs to fill reusable eco crackers I bought last year.
Now to catch up on here with a cup of proper coffee and a slice of fruit cake.Well Behaved women seldom make history
Early retirement goal... 2026

Great news Frith.
And news from the nhs a vast relief DD.
Fri
1 DH popped my car in for an MOT, on a wing and a prayer, as DH isn’t able to work on it as he’s waiting for his operation, it flew through, no advisories, and they like the car there, I love that old car.
2 I’ve heard from the local role I applied for and ended up interviewing the same afternoon.
3 Third day without treats, stuck to planned food, porridge, soup and dinner is l/o mince with rice and cabbage, I’m starting to feel a bit better for it, but
4 We walked around to aldee a nice little walk between the showers.
5 Pondered about in the kitchen looking for Christmas cake ingredients all in bar one.
For Sat
1 A really lovely day spent over at the in laws but the journey there was one closed road after another it was a bit eventful, but fine when wrangled a way across to a motorway.
2 They kindly fed and watered us on freshly bought butchers pies it was a real treat.
3 The conversation flowed freely it was nice and easy.
4 I did some bits online for them.
5 The enjoyed some animal cuddles, MIL animals have passed on so she does love a cuddle with ours more than willing to cuddle in, we were back at ours for midnight which is actually early for us.
For today
1 A lazy start, and brekkie of grilled bacon on hm bread.
2 We purchased some quality plants in lockdown which prompted todays 4 hour clean out the greenhouse, had a lovely garden fire, and trying to keep some plants in the greenhouse if they want to live. Still more on the to do list for tomorrow as the geraniums need re potting to fit under the cloches in there and the pots out the front of the house need to come in now.
3 Freezer dinner, fish, hash browns and beans for tea.
4 Candles burning and in the warm.
5 Thinking about a desert, it was apple strudel and elmlea.

Evening all
Last week ran away with me slightly, hence I forgot to post. I'm still not quite back into the habit but I want to be.
Really well done with the situation for DS2, Frith.
VJsmum, I have pink highlighter envy.
Five recent pleasures:
1. A stack more paperwork shifted/shredded/sorted/actioned.
2. Lovely phone calls with a couple of friends today.
3. Tried the carton of soya milk I had sitting unopened in the cupboard and it tastes good in both tea and coffee. Have decided to make the switch from cow to soya from now on. Milk was one of the things that was stopping me from going back to being vegan. Feel a bit more motivated now.
4. Random searching for something else landed me on the Merchant and Mills website and their freebie mini-tutorials on sewing techniques. I was already familiar with quite a bit but now I know how to make beautiful roleux loops and how to attach ribbing to fabric, neither of which I need to do right now, but it made me really want to get out the sewing machine again! (Scroll to the bottom of the page, https://merchantandmills.com/classes/).
5. Spent some time this evening sitting outside looking at the lovely post-sunset sky.
Sweet dreams

DD I hope today hasn’t been too difficult...as always onwards and upwards...though sometimes just onwards!Well workety work and is it really a week since I last said that? How can 2 tiny days at work come round so quickly when there’s five days off in between? In early as much to do! Extra catering this morning ( same again tomorrow) and I like my couple of hours of peace and quiet in the kitchen just me and the radio and my scones and soup!Though I do enjoy the company of the girls I work with once they’re in and catch up on their week.Busy day. Lots of folk in and lots of take away orders phoned in. And tips? Well a bit meh for being so busy but as I say each week it’s better than a poke in the eye!Very brief chats with a couple of sets of friends who were in for lunch.Home! Aaaaah! My achy back and hips. First time I hadn’t taken painkillers half way through shift ( too busy ) and I felt it in my bones! But a hot shower and jammies on!Chat to friend on phone then chatted with DD2 who’d also been at work all day.Boyo and doggy had been a very muddy walk through woodland and my chair was filthy! Grrrr! Had left a note for washing to be hung up which it had and it was mostly dry.
was a beautiful day here ( you know looking out from the window!) and a spectacular sunrise over the forest as I drove to work. Lovely! Had to defrost car before I could go anywhere. Would have been a lovely morning for a walk over the fields but just a quick doggy walk first thing ...long enough to do what was needed!VJSMUM I did think when I read you were going to USA hmmmm I’m sure that didn’t all go to plan!14
