Something that made me giggle yesterday........
A few months ago I bought both of my nieces a Tablet for their birthdays (3 weeks apart).
The youngest one (9 years) sent me a text yesterday from my Mum's phone. It was an emoticon/emoji (?) of a face crying a river of tears. I asked what was wrong and I got this......'I DON'T WANT TO TELL YOU'. This was when I started laughing and I just waited. A flurry of texts from her revealed that the tablet had gone dead as she was using it and she was scared that she had broken it and that I would be upset with her.
You've all guessed............it was the battery ! She had never let it run down before.
Today my old postman dropped in a little note hoping that Tiggy and I are well. So nice to be thought of.
Lovely neighbour phoned to thank us for the blackberries I leave her everyday. So glad she is enjoying them and that she appears to be on the mend.
Hope you are all well.
Suffolk Sue.........thinking of you.
PK thinking of your little ones
Happycas..........Happy Anniversary
Blackbeard..........thanks for the photos. Bringing back great memories.

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) A lie in.
2) Smaller son is 17! Driving licence still hasn't arrived...
3) Hens OK.
4) Suddenly got the word that bigger son's things had been shipped back from France. So off we tootled to Craven Arms to pick them up. A horrible job - it was like there had been some awful siege, with boxes and possessions of all the workers piled up around the walls of a disused room. The only man left at that site is Polish, so I don't suppose he has many relations here, and he said he had been alone there for 4 months. We gathered up bigger son's possessions - clothes, books and a letter I had sent him which did not arrive in France until after he had left for the UK again. Half of his stuff was missing but there were probably 30 boxes and bags and we did not want to go through other people's stuff. By absolute chance, as we walked out, he saw his climbing harness shoved in the top of someone else's bag, so we managed to get that too.
5) Bigger son was very sad after that, so we stopped for an all day breakfast. We had forgotten about the 50% off stupid government "perk" until we came to pay. (Obviously, a perk only for those who can already afford to go out to eat).
6) Hens OK.
7) Have had a good tidy and washed many of the clothes from France. This does mean bigger son now has 5 pairs of trousers and several T shirts that he had not been able to wear for 4 months.
8) We had a birthday Chinese takeaway.
9) The man is coming to replace the broken shower at 9 tomorrow!12 -
Frith - belated happy birthday to younger son
1. Work busy - someone off self isolating again - leaving others to do the work. It's the 4th time. First time off for 2 weeks and since then been swabbed so had been off for 3 days at a time. His young child is teething and gets a slight temperature.
2. Enjoyed my walk. It seemed very peaceful.
3. DH liked his presents. I got him gardening gloves which he wanted and a tree which he has always liked when we had seen it when visiting gardens.
4. Sitting in the garden with a coffee.
5. Our for a meal with both sons and girlfriend. Pleased it was money off and given free bottle of champagne as DS2 out it was DH birthday when he booked! We all enjoyed the food and good service. A lovely evening14 -

Went to a neighbouring town to visit pet food shop. Am trying everything to keep Tiggy healthy. Bought her some frozen raw food...........she loved it. Venison no less !
Whilst I was there popped into 2 charity shops and walked straight back out again. Very few wearing masks. Pah !
Interesting development for me vis-a-vis Flo & Co. Saw a large bird feeding at the table, thought it was Flo but it wasn't. Much larger and 2 white marks on chest, one on wing. Think it is male. Eating habits very different too.........couldn't get the food in his mouth quick enough. Flo joined him and collected some of the food he had put in the water to soften. She wasn't afraid of him but the little ones kept a distance.
I know that crows can have a long life span (59 years recorded in captivity). I know that they can live in 'murders' of 2 or 3 hundred but I don't know if they mate for life or how long they look after their young. As you can all tell, I am fascinated. Their intelligence is amazing. Must research.
Frith meant to ask..............how is Deborah Meaden doing ?
Have just discovered 'Gavin & Stacey'. Really enjoying it. Who knew ................ ;-)
Am off to weed some of the garden now it's cool enough. Have restful evening.
