Hello. A day of much needing doing so much was done.
Popped into town. Ordered new bed. For DD1 ( and really spare room if we are ever allowed overseas visitors again! ) local independent furniture shop that’s been in town a long time. Very helpful. And lady even phoned me back in afternoon about another matter.Quick nip into M&S. No more one out/one in so felt a bit busy for my liking and some people just do NOT get social distancing at all. Got a lovely green jumper in sale.Went over to a charity shop that supposedly only let two customers in but staff so busy talking they didn’t see the extra two behind me who also did NOT get social distancing. Got two tops and a pair of denim shorts, then saw what was my ‘wedding china’ high on a shelf. 4 cups, saucers, tea plates, bowls and creamer jug and sugar bowl. I had them all at one point but broken over the years. Took them home and washed them and admired them. Still to go in dresser ( a tomorrow job)
Home. Hurrah!Cut grass.Cleaned bathrooms.
Tidied kitchen.
Cleaned dog marks off porch window. Sigh! Who knew this would be a constant task!Chatted to a couple of neighbours.
Nice dog walk ( until he saw a cat and I hadn’t. Ow to the sore back!)
my new specs arrived! Hurrah! But will need to go to optician to get them fitted properly.
Car packed for a tip run tomorrow morning . Have to book a slot now you can’t just turn up. Son did that. Loads cleared.Been mainly dry all day so mucho washing dried.Chat to sister on phone.Chat to friend on phone.Texts to others and checking in with them.
Dog cuddles.15 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) No lie in as the cooker/fridge cleaning man arrived at 8.20. I have them on a contract and the cooker looks a lot better now.
2) Hens OK. Deborah Meaden not as hardy as her friends, though.
3) Wrapped birthday presents.
4) Had smaller son's pre-birthday birthday tea at my parents' house.
5) Talked to my school friend on the phone.
Birthday party not straightforward as mum and dad's neighbour took exception to sons flying the drone (though it was not near his house) so stormed up the drive and started shouting randomly about it. Social distancing dictated that he stopped at the gate to the drive, so that was surreal. I don't think he realised that there would be 9 people facing him, either! We all just gawped at him until he walked away. Rude man.
Also my brother's behaviour very much out of order, so my sister called him out on this and that also escalated uncomfortably. He really needs to leave home and stop acting like the lord of the manor.14 -
1. Work was okish. Holiday approved for October which was good. Easier than I thought it would be.
2. Walk to work (part way) was good and spoke with a couple of random people.
3. Tried a new recipe using up some pork mince- meatballs which had apple's added. It was tasty even if meatballs disintegrated.
4. Drink in garden watching the bats. It's mesmerizing watching them flying around.
5. Both sons have mortgage approved - DS1needs confirmation of salary following furlough but otherwise all ok.14 -
Recent pleasures:
Driveway sale at my sisters. Took loads of stuff that I had put away for a car boot sale sometime in the future! The whole small town could participate and apparently there were about 90 stalls. Didn’t sell much as we were a bit tucked away but an enjoyable day chatting with sis, niece, great niece and a few “customers “.
Rescued some beautiful old green glasses that I had been looking for from my stash. They are too lovely too sell for peanuts so will be put back into use at my house😊
Lovely walk at a different part of our country park. Along the river with gorgeous millionaire houses backing onto the river. Must feel like they’re on holiday living there. Several families having fun out on small hire motor boats. Reminded me of when we did it with my son at the same spot and he played pirates with his flag and talking pirate to passing boats. He must have been 15 or 16 at the time!🤣🤣
The pub garden looked enticing enough to think about a visit in the future.
A couple of evening dips in the hot tub with other half. Very relaxing 😊😘14 -
For yesterday,
The monthly stock shop, got most of what we needed inc favourite bread flour, malted with sunflower seeds and some yeast for the stash. Shop was relatively quiet and felt comfortable.
A honey buzzard flew out over our heads as equine girlie and I were walking around the paddocks, seriously big bird but luckily pony was more interested in the patch of clover she had spotted.
Good chat with bf, making plans to meet up in person soon.
Treat of salmon en croute for tea, yum.
A beautiful full moon rising above a bank of dark cloud.

Hello
Wedding anniversary today. 47 years and counting! And we haven't had the Great Train Robbers joke yet!
Yoga was good. Feel much better for it tho suspect aches will begin soon.
New bt box just delivered so that will keep DH occupied, setting it up.
Managed to have a good clean up this morning, so good that I nearly ran the vacuum battery flat, so time for coffee and biscuits now.
Happy Tuesday everyone

More of this!
Well, it is Bay and Taylor! Hint hint!
DD, a Fox! That will be LieSter? Brentford this eve? Don't want Foolham either! Both LieSter and Foolham are cheats. LieSter went bust after itvfarcical, mariners have never been bust, unlike LieSter and them Gimps. Foolham never complied with their ground on promotion, while Grimsby had to do so! NBot that BoP could never not hold grudges!
Even now, there is more from BoP!
Was at Ottis yesterday, down at the Docks, well connected to the docks anyway through the ether. Connected and worked in the steams systems. That is what it is now like for BoP. Inn from home! Course completed and sore ted. Even had home elevenses as well!
Second day half Ottis! Working from inn side at home again! Just be inn paid to plonk mes bum on a sit! Just now getting the kettle boiled and the proper loose tea inn pot. Oaties as biscuits this day! They will not be dunked. Biscuits should not be dunked. End of!
Watched too flix over the last too nites. Tammy on SunDae and Rumor Has It ... Wobbleades and cheeses were consumed. I has sets the recorder thing of q up to do some mazzas today as well! It is 58 years since ... BoPsie may has to see another Burt!
Elevenses! Now! So that is it for this day! Cricket soon, so will and leather is be inn thwacked!
Just remember this is unedited, just like the rest of that carp available on the ether!

3. Took young person in agony, no transport, to dentist some way off, 2nd time in a week. Struck by non-judgmental goodness and efficiency of surgery. Back on 12th for final extraction. Amoxicillin in the meantime.

Bala, Flo is clever.Ampersand that is some serious preserving work going on there.
Yesterday
1 The lady that runs the fitness classes I used to go to, can’t re open due to the amount of space needed per person, so they have gone online and I am loving it I can look muck it up and keep going and no one knows. I am going to try and build up to 2 of the three quarter hour classes a day, 5 days a week. I want to get fit would be a start, and I am aiming to do something else but it requires at least a fitness level better than my current minus level. 2 hours achieved today and I feel great but shattered ironically I think I put more in at home as no one cares if I go wrong. I wish I joined it months ago, but I’m trying now.
2 Grilled chicken, salad and minted new pots is dinner.
3 A bit of gardening, weeding, watering it’s all progress.
4 Cheesy fm playing in the background
5 A lovely lady around the corner literally chased after us when we were walking and gave us some bedding and bowls always useful, and in chatting we learned there’s apparently a badger around, I wouldn’t have thought it in this area but there is one.
Today
1 DH can maintain our car thankfully saving us heaps, but it needs brake disks and pads which are very expensive in their own right.
2 I remembered to water the front garden and mowed the back garden.
3 Also, remembered to amend the online groceries just in time.
4 Aching from exercise but not to badly it feels like progress.
5 The house is hoovered before the weather gets to melting.

Well done PK - that is a lot of exercise. Don't put yourself off.
Happy birthday son of Frith

Pleasures for yesterday
1. NO WORK
2. bike ride with OH - he did loads but i met him en route and we did 18 miles together.
3. The ducks coming to greet us in a nearby village where we had a rest break
4. Playing music while i did some cleaning - i love my music but have been unable to enjoy it of late so i have CDs that are unplayed. Nice to play some.
5. OH and i watched "A suitable boy" - he thought it was boring but i liked it so will continue it alone.
And today
1. NO WORK - though i am waiting an email and some edits before final, final, submission
2. Walked to the dentist (no work LOL) and then had a mooch round town. Bought some stuff from the chazzer - 2 pairs of shorts (though one pair are miles too big, i thought i might need to go up a size but it seems not. Just need to lose a couple of pounds so that i fit the ones i own better), two tops - wore one home cos it got cold.
3. Made low carb bread
4. Read some of my book
5. Will probably watch something later - men are going to watch footie so i have more choice LOL.
