Hello. Now the sun comes out...after the wind and the rain and the blooming cold...I’d to put my big coat on today to walk round to mums.A day of quietness.Went round it mums to tidy again. Hoovered, cleaned kitchen as best I could and washed floors, took bins out.
nice chat with DD1 this afternoon. She’d been a big walk and a big run.
made Cajun chicken crepes for tea.13 -
Haven’t been on here in forever, but would like to get into a practice if daily gratitude/positivity so here goes
1. walking the dog and seeing (from a social distance of course) some friends unexpectedly
2. social distance cuppa on a friend’s front lawn
3. tried quorn steak slices for lunch - yummy!
4. Watched a bit of tellly with DS. He is 17 and lives in his room so it was lovely to spend some time with him
5. Did a bit of tidying and weeding in the garden - lovely and sunny

SSue you are amazing with those pleasures, big hugs to you.
1 I have basically made and eaten too much cake. The fitness class that I used to go to has now done an online subscription so I have paid for 1 month to see if I can find anywhere to do it in the house, garden would be ideal but we don’t live in the middle of nowhere and I expect the laughing of others would be manic so er no. So I spent more time today clearing some space in the front bedroom. The pleasure is trying to do something about it, as I know exercise helps my confidence.
2 Fish and veg for tea, but we are both starving so that defeats the object.
3 I am afraid it is Amazon to the rescue I buy fish food in bulk and didn’t realise it was running out.
4 Can’t resist sharing a photo, this is Sherbert and Humbug, we thought we would add cool pads for when they want to be outside, but they had other ideas so slept on the bedding rather than cool pads!17 -
oooohhhh, very slinky.
Thanks PK

2) lovely church service and very touched prayers were said for MiL and us all
3) interim priest has got the hang of break out rooms for coffee afterwards
4) made a quiche for supper - we ate half with salad so tomorrow's dinner will be the other half with beans
5) and just snaffled 4 squares of dark chocolate. i can't decide if i've got a sweeter tooth in lock-down or whether normally i would be eating some sweet stuff out the house and not really noticing

Don't know what is going on with the "thanks" and I was forcibly logged out whilst going from the penultimate page of posts to this one!
Good to hear from you, SuffolkSue. These strange times are certainly no help to you.
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) 3rd Sainsburys Click and Collect of the lockdown.
3) 3 more sacks of muck from the farm!
4) Swept up all the leaves and twigs brought down by the storm.
5) Brother paused in our garden, midway through his bike ride.
6) Played tennis with sons.
7) NHS Direct, who will have antibiotics waiting for son tomorrow morning, friendly and professional service and without needing to see him in person.

Good Morning
Called 111 and a dentist called back early evening. It was determined that antibiotics he is on needs to completed and painkillers to be taken EVERY 4 hours whether in pain or not. I didn't know that. But thank goodness for the services we have as the advice was reassuring. I am very very grateful.
My blackberry plant has loads of buds and flowers.
Spoke to Mum and Dad. Mum has taken to walks at the crack of dawn and is thoroughly enjoying herself meeting dog walkers. Both of my parents are very sociable people but I think this has been especially hard on my Mum. So am really pleased that she is meeting people safely (social distancing) in a big field that apparently is common ground. She is delighting in nature and I can hear in her voice that it is doing her the world of good.
A pleasure yesterday was seeing PK's little ones. For those of you that know how to upload photos.......thank you.
Have a wonderful day

PK great pucture.
1. Worked at a swabbing station but very quiet- late morning we were told to go home as no one else booked in. It was lovely seeing people there and a friendly atmosphere and everyone talking to everyone else.
2. A clean car. It was cleaned whilst I was at work for a very reasonaiprice.
3. Time relaxing in the garden. We say out til late and had a drink and chat with neighbours over the fence.
4. Cooked lasagne for tea and made extra for the freezer. Had with home grown salad leaves.
5. My sister helped DS1 with his CV and he's applied for another job.
DS2 while out saw the air ambulance land as a walker had been kicked by a horse whilst walking on a footpath and had probably broken her leg.13 -
For yesterday,
Had a bad night with earache so the pleasure of getting up and having a cup of tea.
Enjoyed the latest compilation from Ambridge but very much looking forward to the ‘real’ stuff starting again.
After trying various bird scarers and the like the farmer has finally put an old fashioned scarecrow in the field, arms loose flapping in the breeze and not a single pigeon on the crop.
The high winds died right down and we spent the late afternoon reading in the garden, the smell from the honeysuckle was gorgeous.
Tried, and failed to find anything decent on live tv so found the last ever episode of Lewis and watched that, really wish they would make more.15 -
Recent pleasures:
more walks and more babies - goslings
warm sunshine 🌞 - warm enough to use the hot tub! It’s great for OH to relax in after a hard days work at our country park - mostly clearing up other people’s mess! Why can’t they take their rubbish home with them?
more seedlings repotted and enjoying my own grown salad leaves
lots of lovely food including homemade scones! Have put weight on during lockdown 😟
lovely B&W flowers 💐 received as a thank you. It’s amazing how they pack them to fit through the letterbox!
😊😊
