Lovely to meet Sherbet and Humbug PK.
Hugs to suffolksue and anyone else that needs one.
A few pleasures for today
lets start with the sunshine, such a beautiful day I’ve spent virtually the whole day in the garden, breakfast in the garden , lunch in the garden and laid sunbathing in the garden....bit of a garden theme going on here. But the absolute best bit was DD2 came round and sat in the garden with me ....well about 3 meters away but it was so lovely to see her in person and have a natter. I haven’t seen her properly for 12 weeks and it was very hard not to hug her, it’s going against natural instinct but I resisted.
Up bright and early and made a smoked salmon and asparagus quiche....delicious!
Early evening walk to look forward to, it’s been to hot to walk the dogs so shall take them when it’s a bit cooler.
Mr M is eyeing up a new fancy BBQ....I am trying the if you can have that, can I have a hot tub tactic ( currently not working) but I will persevere.Nice to have an extra day off of work....all hail Bank HolidaysWell Behaved women seldom make history
Early retirement goal... 2026

Hello. Hope you’ve all had a nice day.
its just started raining after a lovely day.
went to allotment with DD2. She covered the spuds. I weeded one of the beds ( that should have had pumpkins in it ) yet again, it’s the weediest of all the beds. Seeds starting to sprout in other beds but no as far ahead as they were last year at same time. Chopped off the most of my paltry skinny rhubarb and some chives. Then one of the other chaps came down and invited me to help myself to his as they didn’t like rhubarb. So pulled a few stalks and left them on a friends doorstep. We chatted to him for ages then someone else came and chatted a bit more then someone else and I thought nah it’s too busy!Oh the big walk home...sigh! My plantar fasciitis is being (literally) a pain right now and once I get up a pace I’m okay but those first lots of steps are so sore. Especially on hills. Anyway! I did it!Met a friend out the front as we arrived home so chatted to her for 15 minutes.Snoooooozette. Unintentional but it happened with the breeze from open patio doors wafting me!Son made spag bol for tea.

Evening all - lovely evening here and i stink of smoke from our woodfired bbq which sounds much grander than it really is, which is a glorified brazier with a grill rack.
Anyhoo pleasures for yesterday
1. read some of my book
2. did some gardening
3. yummy beef in beer for tea
4. walked into town with OH - looked lovely in the sunshine (not something we usually say about our town but we're appreciating all around us at the moment). Not many people live in a town with an actual castle and we forget that
5. family film night - OH's choice - sorta - Ratatouille.
And today
1. A bit of a lie in
2. Yoga - was easy whihc is just as well as i wasn't really feeling it.
3. more gardening - planted a few things
4. Sat in the sun with my book
5. BBQ
Have a good evening all..
I wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
DD, could I ask which workouts are you following?
1 Some photos of the fuzzies on our bed, empty tissue boxes always recycle into play hidey holes that fit just one to wind another one up of course. This is Toffee and Sherbert waiting (in)patiently for us to get up and dressed, they have the run of the house at night and ponder on the bed when they think we should be up.
2 I admit we skipped breakfast the important meal of the day and opted for a grilled brunch, really nice proper grilled snorker, bacon and tomato, poached egg and beans of course with a large cuppa.
3 Mowed both the front and back lawns and strimmed both, also weeded and set up the water to spray in the evening as the foxes are marking about, then the ferrets mark and so it goes on…
4 Made a fruit smoothie using up black bananas, a past it apple and frozen strawberries, it was lovely to cool off after the gardening.
5 Used a code I had for Keen, for replacement sandals, I’ve had mine about 7 years now, they go through the washing machine and are generally wonderful but don’t have much tread left now, I also remembered to use quidco.

For yesterday,
As always time with my beautiful horse, the view between her ears is the best in the world.
Braving the nettles on the other side of her paddock fencing to pick some cow parsley as it’s one of her favs, at one point I nearly lost my balance and did that frantic windmilling action with my arms but thankfully managed not to fall in the patch!
Lunch in the garden with a cold beer.
Cheeky little afternoon nap, this may be related to the above ☺️
Watched Apollo 13 (again) and once again the lovely Mr Hanks and his pals managed to get home, shed a tear every time.
The tiniest blue t*t enjoying a bath, such a little dot.
Simple supper of HM soda bread and cheese,

That was yesterday. this is now!
PK. I is going to has too hide Raffles! aka The Terminator!
Thinks the fire was down near the old canning warehouse and the Chocolate Ice Cream plaice!
Todays Pix. On yous bike!
Now onto yous version of the Life of Bop!
As I said, Raffles has had his name changed by dead poll! He is The Terminator! Yestday mourning as BoP was doing the BH snorker fest, I fooded Raffles his delights and treats, and as I chopped the mushrooms for the pand, he was out for twenty seconds! Carnage! One T1T no more. But why he has too bring it home and then throw it around like he owns the plaice! Oops, mistake, he does own the plaice! !!!!!!!
Was out this morning at BoPsie's salt mine and went to A1D!. My word, what a bunch of non protectionists we have become. So I getts me trolley, and hand sanitiser, cleans the handle and me paws. Then went to grab me wobbleades and strawbs. Trolley lady benid, wearing mask and her disposable gloves, grabs trolley behind, does not sanitise and goes in. Halfway round, she adjust her mask with her hands! Hang on, what is the point of wearing the mask? Andf so I gets me wobbleades and me blueberry and strawbs! Plaice me trolley back and get me pound. Sanitise me hands and things. Guy walks up, wearing a m,ask and the gloves, grabs the trolley I just left and off to the queue. I ask him how doe she know that I am not a carrier of Hepatitis B? Interesting? No, the gloves have protected them!
Turn off the media, play music!
On Sundae we has the BBQ as sore ted out by Raffles, aka The Terminator! Was excellent, chicken was scoldinglyu hot with chilli. Proper.
Rite tasty! Proper Foods. Please do not try this at home unless you know what yous doing!
That is about all that is happening inn BoP lands this day. Keep Safe!
Stop comparing yourself to others!
