Wild and windy here . Table and chairs over, trellises down, garden mirror over, apple tree almost uprooted, plant pots everywhere. And as soon as you go and rectify it blows back again. It feels more like November than May.DD2 was rather poorly through the night so went into her bed to keep an eye on her ...I do like her mattress! Bit better today but not right.Had done supermarket and into town for M&S and home by 9am. So much better when it’s quiet. And free parking in town on a Saturday. Got some RTC clematis and an RTC orchid which I used my club card vouchers for.Had planned to brace the wind and walk to mums but didn’t fancy getting soaked in the torrents so drove round. Spent about an hour there sorting meds and a bit of tidying .Watched Netflix/dozed/watched/dozed/watch. Repeat!Made burgers for tea ( RTC ) which were very yummy .Messages back and forth with friends. Everyone’s still okay which is good.15

4) Bigger son made Big Macs for tea, from the Takeaway Secret cookbook.
5) Tidied up a bit and steamed the floors.

For yesterday,
Bit of a lie-in followed by boiled egg and marmite soldiers.
Nice long walk with small dog, avoided the rain but the high winds had brought down quite a few branches from the beech trees.
A milestone birthday for my DB so drove round with a present and had a socially distanced catch up, first time face to face in nearly 12 weeks, how hard is it not to hug those you love ☹️.
Under SIL’s instructions we had all done a short video clip to a certain piece of music and the result was hilarious, lovely to see family & friends all contributing.
A few games of Yahtzee and a glass of something cold.

For last couple of days - not sure why I didn't post yesterday.
DD- my thoughts and prayers are with you.
1. Spending time in the garden- weeding which I find therapeutic, planting out plants I've grown from seed.
2. Sitting and watching the chickens and enjoying being outside in the fresh air.
3. Long phone call with a friend. Not sure what we talked about for a couple of hours!!
4. DH was painting his clinic and time ran out to move furniture back in. That is a job for today and I'm working!!
5. DS2 cooked French onion soup for tea. It was very good and was cutting onions up for it with sunglasses on to try and stop crying.
6. Had a haircut.by DS2 - it looks ok. My hair is long and he cut about 2 inches of it.12 -
Pleasures yesterday -
Drove dog to next village for a run through the woods and a climb down to the river's edge. The woods are filled with flowering ramsons, there are sticks a-plenty for a dog to play with. The river is sparkling clear in the sunlight, dog running in and out having a good time.
Mug of real fresh-ground coffee on return whilst playing Solitaire on the computer.
Pizza with salad for lunch, the end bit of a bottle of Montepulciano finished off, home made bread and butter pud for afters.
Afternoon spent planting out lavender, mange touts, a camellia and a peony.
Reading book samples on my Kindle with the radio on in the background.
Another couple of episodes of Doctor Who on Netflix.
The company of my son and my animals. One life - your life - live it!13 -
Just popping inn ...
Raffles has done his work, BBQ is on for later. Here are the two chicken drumsticks maturing inn BoP’s marinade.
Marinade. Dark treacle, juice of too lemons, coriander, chilli, garlic and Tom puree! Brewing next to the stove!
Note the crumpet knife with marmite from brakefest!9 -
Binge watched Killing Eve. Not quite sure how I feel about this 3rd series.
Flo the Crow came to visit yesterday and today although I missed her. I have put 2 bowls on a tray one for food and one for water. It's on the garden table. She is incredibly neat never dropping or spilling anything. There is evidence that she is using the water for dunking. I think I am falling in love with her. Wish I had one of those wildlife cameras.
Some little monkey has dug up my lettuces ! That's 2 celery's 1 leek and 2 lettuce. Who am I feeding ?
Worried about OH. He has tooth infection. On antibiotics for something else but it's not helping. Am so concerned but at the moment he won't even let me call a dentist. I was lucky he allowed me to call the doctor for another problem.
Anyway, enjoy the day................
