Bop, Great photo. When an @ldi opened up close to us last year, you would have thought the world had ended, but you only need to take one look at the car park and listen to some of the conversations in there to know they all use it now.
D4V that’s a powerful Martin Lewis quote right there, and also hugs.
Bala, if it is the net, I really recommend Plusnet.
DD, I’m sorry for your loss, reminisce with lovely memories.
Thank you, we are okay as a unit, in the scheme of things we are fine, I’ll be able to say in a while.
1 The bedroom windows were flung open and hearing an owl hooting loads was one of the most relaxing sounds.
2 We opted for comfort food today there was a grilled bacon sarnie for lunch, well it is Friday. The look of disappointment on DH’s face when he noticed the lasagnes cooking through, prompted an impromptu takeaway using a discount code, and to stop his bottom lip from going…
3 The house is clean again.
4 My petunia night skies came back into stock and I clicked buy rather rapidly, then it also occurred to me I need to put them and the rest in the ground when they arrive and also I have to put them in the green house later in the year in the hope of not having to buy again for next year!
5 Dh has been creating with the scrollsaw, very creative.

I am sorry to hear of your sad news, DD.
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) A lie in.
2) Spent my Christmas vouchers for our local nursery on a delphinium and an iris.
3) Bigger son now has a unicycle but it'll take him a while to learn to get the hang of it.
4) My sister had her hair cut (to a number 2 length) for charity (MSF) and raised £1500. She looks like a cross between our dad and dad's sister!
5) Played tennis after tea.
6) Watched Gardeners World.

DD..........hope you don't mind me saying..........your hair looks great. I love the colour.
Have put food and water out for Flo the Crow..........hope I see her today.
Sadly my suspicions over Tiggy's eyesight were confirmed yesterday. I had had delivered a massive box containing 10 storage boxes. When the doorbell rang later she made her usual dash to the door and ran head first into the box. She didn't even see it. It's a huge box. When she has her operation I am going to ask for everything to be checked.
Had a Chinese takeaway last night. We rarely have takeaways/deliveries anymore but this one was awful. Oh well......... they must have changed their chef.
Am enjoying this beautiful weather and the cacophany of birdsong early in the morning. Also seeing lots of busy squirrels. Wonder if they dug up my celery.
There is a garden up the road that must have thirty to forty American poppies. All orange. It's so beautiful.............
Have a wonderful day.........
xAKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo
According to a lovely poster I am Bala the Brave who wrestled a Tiger. You know who you are.....

Hugs PK and DD - hope you are both OK.
Great picture DD, nice to see you.
Glad you kept your texts DforV - precious things.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. yoga - a tougher one but wasn't as hard as it can be
2. Out in the park with my friend for a picnic, haven't seen her since before lockdown and we kept our distance. i forgot to take a fork for my salad but OH had also met his friend who didn't have lunch, so he gave me his quiche!
3. cleaned the kitchen and conservatory - the pleasure being that they are clean. I will get DD to give bathrooms a once over and DS can hoover the rest of the house today. I'll dust and OH can do the hard floors then we'll be good to go for a while again. Four people in the house all the time makes it really dirty!
4. Treated ourselves to a takeaway curry. Partly because we didn't have one after my mock when we said we would and partly cos we couldn't think of anything to have for tea... it was delicious and there's loads left. Gave the delivery lad a tip (in an envelope) - he was surprised and delighted!
5. Family film night - my choice. We watched Pride and all enjoyed it.
Have a great day all - blowy here.
I wanna be in the room where it happens16 -
1) Fish and chips from the pub last night and have booked takeaway Sunday lunch too to keep them floating while they're not able to run business as normal, they are the ones running the box scheme for the village and will get our custom regularly when all this is ended.
2) Lovely chat with both DDs one just over the phone with the boys coming and going in the background and one video call with DD1 and the granddaughter in her bath, so many giggles!
3) Baby who is now 8 months has been taught some signs in Maketon and can now ask for milk, food, sleep etc. while laying looking at the phone gave me the sweetest smile, blew me a kiss and made the sign for cuddle, I melted!
4) A drive out through the lanes yesterday as it was very windy and we decided not to walk and observing the wild flowers changing and dying back on the verges, the hedges and trees now fully leafed and loveliest of all fields where they'd done a hay cut and it was wrapped in those huge bales in the fields and fields where they hadn't waist high and totally yellow with buttercups.
5) Gratefulness for another week of life and still being OK!

I am so sorry for your loss DD.
For yesterday,
Feeling stronger every day doing my morning Pilates.
Capt S’s boss came for a socially distanced chat over the garden gate and had a companion with him, a miniature rough haired dachshund, my beloved was smitten.
A bright but very windy day and the fields behind the yard had dust tornadoes being whipped up, my girlie took them in her stride but kept shaking her head so dust was obviously getting into her eyes, ditto mine.
Tried the Turbo loaf recipe and it came out well so sent piccie to bf.
Easy tea of fish finger baguettes followed by a very delicious ice-cream.16 -
Sorry for your loss DD but I have to say , such a lovely pic of you and your daughter. Some recent pleasures.
yoga classes starting to pay off and I am really enjoying them, it’s something I only started doing regularly in lockdown, but is something I shall keep on doing.
Bright and breezy here for the past couple of days, so bed linen all changed and line dried beautifully.Back to work PPE has arrived (spare bedroom resembling a mini warehouse )risk assessments, staff rotas and business recovery plan finally all completed and ready for a partial and phased return to work.....so relieved everything is now in place.
Steak and ale pie made for tonight...pie, mash and peas to look forward to for dinner.
Usual pleasure of appreciating the garden, birds on the feeder and the dogs at my feet.
Date night later, wine for me, beer for Mr M cuddled up on the sofa watching a movie popcorn to share.Well Behaved women seldom make history
Early retirement goal... 2026

What a shot ...
How did it land here?
From a couple of years back!
Come on, after DfV's post, who has not hummed the song by Sweet!
DD! Coffee inn them cups?
PK. Our locals objected so much to A1D! they now cannot get in quick enough. We has bin using for a while. Never understood those that bought the small corns from Africa in W8RS!
Now with your version of the Best of Life in accordance with BoP!
Watching the cricket repeat on the box thing. Could not believe that Chis' lad would again get 8 for 15! Now we are batting like good ones. Always nice too see the Aussies being whipped!
Had me usual brakefest this morning! And the snorkers were loaded as proper food! Tea was drinked as well as fresh Eau de robinet avec le concentré de l’orange! Sounds proper in French!
And it was on the porcelain plates as well! The eggs we get from A1D! are a lot better poached than the over p[riced car inn other emporiums! No coffee was taken!
Watched another flix on the box last nite. The Healer. Set inn Nova Scotia and very good. Yet again BoP reviews the flix and all I read around the parish is some mid England archer things! Another flix will be reviewed this evening. We diod note that the shacks were very similar to the coffee chop we had breakfest inn Rockport last December! Good litlle comedy, with other tales. Wobbleades were consumed, with mature cheddars, cashews and some pan handed crisps.
Raffles was out this morning cursing the rain, as mentioned here in BoP notes recently! As DfV has reloaded her snorker tray, he is doing his best with the weather for the Sunday BBQ. Bet you know wished you has bin the the orange DiY centre to get your BBQ! More tomorrow. Chicken is being defridged and will be spiced up later. Details soon!
Had the codpiece kedgeree last eve! Niocely flavopured, served with kings of prawns, sweetcorn and nicely diced onions! See, not every time does BoP do onion like toe nails!
BoPsie is scooping around trying to fill her washing machine up, but struggling. Sher enquired as to whether me socks were changed daily! Of curse they be so! It will be at least another fortnight before the whites need doing! Unless I has me raspberry jam on buttered toast, and mess up the serviette!]
Rite, I has wiped me lips from lunch with the serviette and that is all on yaw version of what it is like being BoP!
Do good today to others

My 5 after a worrying week re possible health issue that was thankfully resolved.
Smiling at DfV,s beautiful tailoring in the Addams family. Extra hugs Mhags for dealing with heartbreaking paperwork. Lovely pic DD. Hope things turn out PK. Good to see your posts Mrs LW.
Raining and gales here today and more of the same forecast for tomorrow. One windowsill to paint and front fence to treat and hopefully that will be all outside projects finished for the Summer. Please send Raffles up North for next week BOP.
Garden is looking good, at last most plants are in the right places.
Silence writing this apart from Ollie’s little cat snores. He is such a happy boy.
Tea is quiche, Jersey royals and Lincolnshire asparagus. Yum.
Good, rain has stopped, if I hurry can get neighbours dog out for a quick walk. Have a good Bank Holiday all.

Either MSE or my tablet is going daft. Logged in, not logged in. Thanks button, no thanks button!!. Never mind, I'm here now!
Very windy, and much chillier. A shock after the lovely weather we've been having.
Lots of folks here having takeaways. Good idea!! We're thinking of trying the fish n chip shop next week. It's been open two weeks now so hopefully the novelty might have worn off. You can click n collect so will give it a try. Meanwhile it's Saturday night curry as ever was. Clears the fridge of random veg and makes a very tasty curry. King prawn this week.
Frith - bigger son is very active. Just to read if what he does wears me out. And now a unicycle! Superb!
D Doll. Sad news is so much worse at the moment. Thinking of you and your family.
Happy blowy day everyone
