Welcome Katiepants. You will find this place and these people really inspiring and supportive. There is always someone who has the same issues and problems as you do. Someone, probably KnitWich as she is Headgirl, will tell you how it all works.

As for me. I'm still in a rosy glow, but now comes the job of consolidating and building on what I have achieved so far.

    BR: Toast and marmalade.

Lunch: Cheese omelette and salad. 1 pear.

Snacks, as and if required. CB and peanut butter. SF jelly.

    Good morning everyone :hello:

I only know what I am going to have for dinner tonight so I will have to have a think about lunch in a minute. I am going to make a spicy cottage pie with bombay potatoes as a topping instead of mash. It is in the new Slimming World magazine and looks very tasty. I will serve it with green beans as well. Lunch is trickier. I am trying to cut down on bread so sandwiches are out. I usually have salad or soup.Oh well, I am not hungry yet so it doesn't really matter.

Welcome Katiepants. Just jump right in, some people (like me) write out what they are planning to eat that day as it helps to keep themselves accountable. Knit Witch runs a challenge where you pick a target for yourself and then record your weightloss over 12-13 weeks. It's only just started so I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you joined it, if you wanted to that is :D.

So, after all that waffle, mmm waffles, my food today is going to be:

    b - none
l - chicken and vegetable soup
d - spicy cottage pie, green beans
s - fruit and milk for teas.

Hope you all have a great day and make good choices, take care xx
  • Ok thank you!

I'm a bit of a yoyo dieter. Weight comes off well if I try hard but also goes back on just a quickly.
Currently around 164lbs but can't say for sure as scales have run out of batteries!
I go on holiday next week so would like to lose 4lbs before then. After that I'll be aiming for a stone.

Today breakfast was Weetabix and semi skimmed milk.
Lunch will be vegetable hot pot, bread roll and grapes.
Tea is a chicken breast with veg
I have planned smacks of 2 rice cakes and a mini cheese, plus a mini flapjack bit.

I've already had an unplanned snack of a mini cookie... oh dear!

Planning 45 mins on the turbo trainer later so hopefully will burn the cookie off!

    Afternoon everyone.

Had a friend here who arrives at breakfast time and goes after lunch so for lunch we had HM green pea soup. I didn't indulge in the bread rolls and just had a couple of bits of bacon on the top not stirred through as with the other soup bowls so on the face of it it looked the same. Fortunately our friend doesn't stay long so once he had gone I had a pear. I actually felt in control of food not food controlling me - it's a strange feeling but one I hope to cultivate.

I'll have to edit this later as I'm not sure what is for tea.
Tea was a load of veg just lightly cooked/stir fried with some chinese 5 spice, followed by 1 apple and 2 satsumas - all that was ok but then I had 30gm chocolate (not good)

    Welcome katiepants

  • 2 more unscheduled biscuits and some highly illegal twirl bites. Oh dear, not off to a great start!
I did do 20 minutes on the turbo trainer but I don't think it was enough to make up for it...

  • Hi I would like to join this thread, I want to go down from 70.2kg down to 66kg. I have lost weight in the past and it has recently crept up. I always lose weight the OS way using MYNETDIARY. I like the calorie counting but also I use the analysis tools to make sure I have a low salt, low sat fat diet and balanced nutrition.
I am not sure what I am eating exactly tomorrow but prefer to post what I have eaten at the end of the day, so it is what I have actually had. I hope this is okay?
Thanks to everyone for posting, It's great encouragement.

    Morning all

Bit of a dreary day here today but at least less windy than yesterday.

    Hello El Debster and welcome.

Good luck with your weigh in Tessie Bear.

    Today's menu plan is:

Breakfast: Mushroom and tomato eggy muffins

    Snack: belvita Apricot breakfast bircuts

Lunch: chicken drumsticks, 2 x satsumas and yoghurt

dinner: either pasta with spinach, mushroom and mascarpone sauce, or creole king prawn stir fry - depends on which mood I am in :p I have enough calories for either so it doesnt matter which I choose.

Right off to get my shower and get ready for work.
