    Wow - bears!

I would love to see a bear - at a safe distance.
I remember a safari where there was a leopard wandering the camp and we had to be escorted back to our room by a guy with a rifle - I was very glad, for both us and the leopard, that he never had to use it.

Last weigh-in this morning for this challenge, unfortunately, I've gained 1.75lb I think it was stress eating because I had an appointment with the cardiologist this afternoon and I have serious white coat syndrome.
Some good some bad news, I definitely need an open heart op and I'll have to go to London to have it done but they have agreed to schedule it for the New Year.

Roll on the next challenge I need to be in the best possible shape for my op. I'm having Christmas day off that's all. Now to add to my step count for today.

Lunch 1 piece mackerel and salad leaves, a few berries and coconut yogurt
Tea 1 HM beefburger and more salad things, small portion yellow sticker trifle, 20gm dark chocolate.

Reminds me of wandering around rural India. One of the villagers remarked casually that the tigers didn't come down from the forest until after dark. I made jolly sure that I was inside somewhere before it got dark!

Dekaspace, don't worry. The jelly belly will eventually tighten up. If you do lots of walking or other exercise it will happen a bit quicker. You are young enough for your body to adapt to your new shape, its only us wrinklies who end up with unlovely flabby bits.
In any case, a bit of flab is infinitely better than a bit of fat. You are doing well with finding something that works for you and sticking with it.

This is where I should be giving you a list of food eaten chez moi. Well, I'm too ashamed. I'll be too ashamed tomorrow too so I'll be back on Sunday.

  • Weigh in day is usually Thursdays, but missed it due to having a day at home waiting for an engineer, so weighed in the morning.
    And it's a maintain :o

The fair is town tonight, so we had a pork bap and a bit of candyfloss, but been low on the calories all week, so hopefully it should balance out :money:

Ah if you weigh in on a Thursday then your first weigh in for the challenge will be next week :D
    Must use my stash up!
  • Morning all. Sorry to say that I've ended the challenge with a gain of 0.4lbs.
Knitwitch can you put me down for 5lbs for the next challenge please. I won't be starting straight away though as DH and I are off on our hollibobs tomorrow.

I did go to Subway today but the one I went to didn't have the flatbread (the least bad bread on the menu), I asked for the herbs and cheese but it was too crispy for me so chucked half of the brad and just ate the insides.

Did have a free chicken burger from Freshers too, and a small slice of pizza (really small, they were pushing the limits of a "slice" and a Daim bar.

About my weight, haven't weighed myself but noticed I have gone from a solid gut (similar to a pregnant womans just smaller) to pure jelly stomach, not sure if thats due to the weight loss or if its a good or bad sign, so if anyone knows and can commend will be appreciated.

I don't know deka but you seem to doing great, maybe find some scales and weigh yourself next week to keep up the motivation , if you haven't got any at home I think they have them in Boots stores and you can pay to use them

Hi all, I'm coming back to the challenge, earlier in the year I felt that I was in the right mindset to get my weight under control, but since then it's been up and down again. I wanted to get down to my goal weight by the time I met up with my sisters in August, but that didn't happen and I was annoyed with myself, but they were both overweight too (I was the smallest out of the 3 of us), so I didn't feel so bad.

Now I am determined to get back into it and lose a bit before Christmas. This week I have been really good (it helped that I went shopping last week and didn't buy any 'naughties'), and have lost 1.5lbs, so very happy with that. Please can I be put down for 12lbs for this challenge.

Now to go shopping and resist the naughties again, lol!

  • L:- 1 piece mackerel and salad leaves, bit of raw cauliflower, a few cherry tomatoes.
D:- portion of turkey casserole, I think when I made it I added a bit of cream to the sauce but I can't be sure, broccoli, a few slices of carrots and a few beans and peas. two very small pieces cheese, 4 walnuts.

I read somewhere to drink a glass of water before each meal so that you feel full sooner. I'm trying that - I'll see how it goes.
