    Today I have eaten........

boiled egg and 2 C rispbreads, handful of peanuts, good lick of the spoon used for making cookies, not enough choc chips for choc chip cookies so ate the choc chips, mustn't waste good food, a few fingerfuls of grated cheese, a couple of cheese straws for quality testing, A couple of sausage rolls that were a bit too well done, burnt even, can't waste good food, a cookie that broke as I took it off the baking tray, calories leak out of broken biscuits, OK? a mini quiche to see if it was suitable for children, result uncertain so repeated the experiment, tried a mini lemon meringue tart as I'd made up a recipe, couldn't believe how delicious it was, the second one was just as nice.

Packed up food and went off to granddaughters 5th birthday party. Drank glass of wine, and surveyed party table. Did I pick at tomatoes, cucumber strips, grapes, strawberries, apple slices? No I didn't. Did I pick at pizzas, crisps, mucho garlic bread, morsels of choc brownies, birthday cake and sweeties? You bet your life I did.

When I got home I realised that I hadn't had a sensible meal all day so had 2 slices of toast and peanut butter.

Am now going to sit on the naughty step. A minute for every year of your age isn't it?

    Oh, lor'. See you tomorrow.

Nope this is a 12 week one - I am not so heartless as to make to suffer healthy eating over Yule :D

Great stuff Knit Witch. A week off :rotfl: It will feel like a holiday and I'm already looking forward to it. However, can you still put me down for 14lb Cardiologist specialist again this Friday and I need to be in the best possible shape before my open heart op so I'll just have to try harder over the next 12 weeks. :D

Actually two whole weeks off  the gap covers the calendar New Year/Hogmany as well :rotfl::rotfl:

So for the year we have 12 weeks, 13 weeks, 13 weeks, 12 weeks :p

:rotfl: I only missed my target by 20 lbs on the previous challenge!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

There's still a weigh in left (but somehow trying to lose 20 lbs by the end of Sunday is probably NOT the best ;) )

    From penitence corner.

    Breakfast: boiled egg and toast.

Lunch: Ham and cheese salad + small roll. SF jelly.

Extras: 4 prunes. 2 Crispbreads with marmite and cottage cheese. 1 Options drink.

It will take a while to undo the damage done yesterday and I'm out again on Saturday.
    Why do we do it?

    I've been Money Tipped!
I did go to Subway today but the one I went to didn't have the flatbread (the least bad bread on the menu), I asked for the herbs and cheese but it was too crispy for me so chucked half of the brad and just ate the insides.

Did have a free chicken burger from Freshers too, and a small slice of pizza (really small, they were pushing the limits of a "slice" and a Daim bar.

About my weight, haven't weighed myself but noticed I have gone from a solid gut (similar to a pregnant womans just smaller) to pure jelly stomach, not sure if thats due to the weight loss or if its a good or bad sign, so if anyone knows and can commend will be appreciated.

    Morning all.

B: lo carb granola, berries, skim
L: asparagus, bns dip (same as yesterday)
D: garlic & herb spatchcock chicken (YS down to £1.50!), salad

DH is out for drinks and dinner so no obligatory Indian takeaway tonight. We drove 75 miles to take DD and 2 friends to a gig in Bristol last night so dinner was pizza and garlic bread which I then poured 3 pints of cider on top of :o I am glad of the opportunity to make up for that tonight, without DH wingeing!

    45 min dog walk
I have another riding lesson booked for tomorrow - I am definitely getting better as they said I could move on to cantering this week :)

  • Here in the middle of a big dark forest is a "ranch" which is
Iike a hotel or more like posh camping....it is the only hotel night on the trip...so far the heating nor the hot water for the shower worked first time but I have an electic heater now and the water works...this is important after the 57km cycle ride with 1400m of climb...much of which was bumpy so my backside is bruised.
Amazing views over to here but it is chilly....there is a bear quite near our host tells us....

    B. Yog, dried fruit and nuts, coffee
    B2 flask coffee leftover cake
L dried sausage, cheese, 2 slices bread, coffee from mountaineers hut.
Tea on arrival.....orange meringue tart and fruit tea and a piece of chocolate
    D. Whatever is offered.

Tomorrow DH proposes a 70km pootle to the train station....the train arrives 3am. As cycling with bears around is not clever, we will arrive there before dark and wait.....

When I get back to my nice warm flat, that will be lovely, but I will miss the quiet, the dark and being in the forests.

I shall then try a bit harder to lose weight as hauling the extra over mountains is really stupid...I am already planning to come back!
