I could scream, have been doing OK, couple of lbs here and there over last 10 days, but suddenly my blood sugars have dropped quite a lot, unusual for me, so I rang doc, have appointment today. Have had to put a halt to the "diet". Think I had not been having enough carbs, not absolutely stopped put potatoes about twice, same with rice etc but still having porridge & fruit for brekkie. Maybe it is not the diet, will see what they say, so after a weekend trying to build up my carbs I may have put on about half pound. Also have been doing a mini walk (5mins) but my other hip (am seeing consultant this month re another op) has been playing up so not been able to increase just yet. Feeling really low, and thats not me at all, maybe that is the sugar (type 2).Not going to cry though, just scream.
How did you get on with the doctor? I thought he point of low carb/low calorie eating was to drop your blood sugars and reverse the diabetes type 2 as much as possible?0 -
Struggling but .5lb weight loss.
Mainly having a couple of eggs for lunch with either salmon or mushrooms, followed by a piece of fruit. Dinner is mainly vegetables with a small piece of protein, chicken thigh last night but also I've had a small pork chop, venison steak, and a piece of cod, All followed by fruit in a fruit salad, and sometimes sugar free jelly. Then a very small piece of cheese or dark chocolate plus five brazil or walnuts. very slow progress0 -
B - yoghurt and berries
L - salad and hummus
T - black bean and squash curry

Hello everyone.
I am officially a gym bunny now! Well, signed up for the swimming really to strengthen my broken ankle, but OH is getting his gym induction today.
Swam for 45 minutes yesterday, and had a very healthy prawn stir fry when I got home. Frustrated I can't now swim again until the weekend due to other commitments. Feels great to be back to exercising again!
b: avocado toastie
d: pasta and veggie salad
t: will probably be sandwiches at tonight's meeting. Well, they are free.

1 lb off for me please Knit Witch so I finally weigh less than when I started the C25K :T
I'll be thinking of you and Dr Knit Witch over the next couple of days. The people that you love stay in your heart for ever.
It's my birthday on Saturday but we keep everything quite low key because it should be my wedding anniversary and the late, great Mr Cranky's birthday the day after my birthday. I've been widowed 9 years so I'm used to it but I still prefer a quiet day
p.s. when we first met it took him 3 goes to remember when my birthday was :rotfl:0 -

Stomach's a bit rough after having a drink last night. Plus, that stuff red-zoned my Fitbit. Evil cider!
Managed to make the green man dance for 2 days in a row (9/9 hours 250+ steps) - huge progress for me, broken ankle woman!
b. apple and pecan crisp - stuck to the piffly serviing size on the box.
d. carrot and houmous sandwiches, banana
t. Not sure... will be going out so may be a very quick tomato and mushroom pasta.
Snacks: Babybel light, apple.Keep reading books!
