Steak and ale pie, followed by cappuccino cheesecake and cream, wonder what the weigh in would have been tomorrow? Don't care!
A meal like that is worth every ounce gained. Hope you enjoyed each naughty, indulgent mouthful. You just KNOW you're worth it.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I've lost another 1lb this week. However, last night I went to the spiritualist church, and won a panettone in the raffle, and I've already had 2 slices! I have been quite good this week though, so it could have been worse.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Must use my stash up!0 -
I've skipped a weigh in as it's that time of the month and I always retain fluid so I will wait until this coming Friday. Food wise I haven't been too bad, and I've rediscovered my love of bananas so been blitzing one each morning in the blender with some milk, ice and a drop of vanilla essence - lovely!
I found my old Callanetics book (remember them?) and just got the DVD today. It's such a nice work out as I had pelvic floor surgery 14 years ago and they're getting slack but anything with impact is a no no. I used to do Callanetics in my teens and they were pretty effective so I'm hoping I can firm up a bit doing them!
Cath was it an ulcer you had? Sorry I can't remember, but if it was see if your nurse has those honey bandages. I have raw honey straight from a local beekeeping and I slapped it on a nasty infected blister. It not only cleared up in days, but it left no scar which was amazing as it was the size of the old 50 pence pieces.0 -
It's me with the leg ulcer (I don't think Cath has one, I may be wrong) and yes, I've had honey dressings on it since they lifted the necrotic skin. Now the slough has gone from underneath we've stopped using the honey dressing and I squeeze manuka honey ointment into it from a little tube. We (the nurse and I) looked up the cost of the ointment before we started using it and it's about £2 a tube. It's really making a difference. The ointment is made by a company called Activon if anyone is thinking of trying it at some future point. It kills any bacteria in the wound and stops the "eau de corpse" smell that I used to get when changing my dressings :rotfl:
I'm still sticking to the healthy eating by the way...0
