Just catching up with the postings
TT take care of yourself and also DH
Knitwitch - weight loss 1.25lb I'm pleased about that.
At last after a few weeks of gaining and then losing weight (mini yo-yoing) I kept a very strict count of where my pitfalls were: too many pitfalls to count but I've hopefully identified a major one - I fail after dinner at night - a bit of chocolate! maybe a biscuit or 2 or 3......!, a glass of the red stuff!! having a look at what's in the fridge.......! So now the bottle of red stuff is at the other end of the kitchen and if I need two glasses I have to get up and walk to the bottle. Chocolate and biscuits have been demoted to another room.
Another thing I've done is to miss lunch on a couple of days. I've been Christmas cooking and freezing over the weekend so I've used the lunchtime to keep my hands busy but still be able to talk to DH who needs his lunch (shame he's so 'normal' in weight)

Evening all :hello::hello:
Just caught up with all the posts.
TT, so sorry to read your news.
Well done to the losers and virtual encouragement to all that need it.
I'm off to Kent this weekend, Hoping I can dig out some winter clothes that will fit me  I really don't want to buy new clothes until I have lost more weight!
My usually acurate scales are a little erratic, even after changing the battery. I am splitting the difference between three attempts and posting a loss of 1.7kgs
Have a good week and keep warm.

May I rejoin? I feel like I have gotten over my funk I was in before and feel optimistic about the future. I am still out of work at the moment, so in some ways losing weight won't be my primary concern as getting employment will be, but on the other hand I now have plenty of time to exercise so no excuses.
My scales are currently not working so I will have to go to one of those weighing machines they have in boots or similar. I will aim to lose something like 1lb a week. Weigh in day will be Monday. I will post my target later today. x
If you want a pound a week then 7lb it is!Must use my stash up!0 -

Cranky, with the problems you've been having with your leg you are entitled to a few treats. Well done you for your healthy eating yesterday.
I have woken up with a completely different mindset this morning and am ready to do battle again. It's true, isn't it? It all starts in your head. Get your brain into gear and you can tackle anything.
Back on the wagon then.
Today's plan.
Br: boiled egg and crispbread.
Lunch. Ham and LO cauliflower cheese. Orange.
Snacks. ST jelly and maybe a square inch of flapjack.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I've just looked at the chart which Knit Witch keeps and realise I've just 1lb to lose to be half way there for this challenge - thanks Knit Witch.
My new routine seems to be working at the moment, I just hope I can keep it up. Basically its fasting until about 4.30 pm then I have a cup of soup and dinner later.
I used to be a normal weight before I retired. I thought it was because I was more active but I don't think that's the case, in fact I think I walk/exercise more now than I used to do. So I'm coming around to the thoughts that my pattern of work had a lot to do with my weight being normal so I'm trying to emulate what I used to do.
Breakfast was non-existent
Lunch - I used to work through lunch, a cup of coffee
Dinner - Depending on the work load I'd either finish around 6pm or more often 8-9pm. Late finishes meant frequenting the village wine bar/restaurant for tea 3 or 4 times a week or a take away.
I only used to cook regularly on Sunday (Saturday was a workday).
I can't justify the takeaways or restaurant meals now but I can follow the pattern of only eating late. Weigh-in next week should be 'interesting!!'.0 -
Today's food (I am trying to keep away from anything with sulphites in as much as possible as I am fed up of the itchy rash now - pizza at the weekend really didn't help)
Breakfast : Porridge made with water
Lunch : Vegetable soup
Dinner : Home made chilli with boiled rice
Snacks : single gin0
