I don't wish housing costs to stay high - where did you get that ludicrous idea from? In actual fact, I'd prefer it if house prices did drop because it would make it easier for my children to get on the property ladder. That doesn't mean I sit at my screen trying to scare-monger people for my own agenda, unlike some I could mention...
Yes it is a money saving forum, and once the mortgage is paid off the house is all yours and no worries about paying rent each month for someone else to benefit.
Newbies may believe the rubbish you spout but thankfully the majority here know your posts are just the result of sour grapes.

This lot you mean...? http://www.standard.co.uk/business/virgin-money-in-london-house-prices-warning-a3595456.html
It is the paying off the mortgage bit that is going to be tricky though, especially if rates rise, and especially if they paid bubble price. Many many people are awake to the fact that Buy Buy Buy is not always the best advice, and BTW I didn`t mean specifically YOU were ramping house prices, just that many on here tend to post their own game i.e they are deep in property debt, therefore it is okay for others to be as well, whatever is going on in the market.0 -
Genuine question - is there a price point that you would buy a house? Surely you accept that it is logically better to own your own house than rent, particularly for security in later life?Crashy_Time wrote: »This lot you mean...? http://www.standard.co.uk/business/virgin-money-in-london-house-prices-warning-a3595456.html

Security comes from access to money, not whether you pay to fix your own roof or not.0 -
OK - I think (although correct me if I'm wrong) that your response means you have no logical problem with renting until you die.Crashy_Time wrote: »Security comes from access to money, not whether you pay to fix your own roof or not.
That being the case, why do you care at all about house prices? You will never buy one?
Again apologies if I've misunderstood just genuinely trying to understand your mindset - it's clear your POV differs from most on here!0 -

I don`t think there are many on here waiting to buy who are cheerleading high prices though, do you? However the thread is about not being able to attract viewers, and I think one of the best ways to attract viewers is to lower the price.0 -
Sorry if I am repeating what has been said.
Which house is yours?
Remove the clutter from the top of your kitchen cupboards, it highlights the lack of storage.
Sort that chair out in the living room, it looks like it hasn't been plumped in years!
One of the bedrooms needs a bedside table, one appears to have a dead animal on the floor, iron bedding and make the beds.
Blue loo seat? Where is the shower(0 -
Thanks again all - good food for thought (even the more pessimistic thoughts). We are away at the moment but will be taking new photos next weekend when we are back. We are going to swap agents when our tie-in is over. I haven't been particularly impressed with our EA (I will be chasing up again today about the duplicate outside photos). Making a fresh start with new and improved photos will hopefully generate some more interest once the summer holidays are over.
And for the record, the blue loo seat is now at the tip and has been replaced by a white one (I didn't realise a blue loo seat would put people off viewing a house!)0 -

It wouldn't put me off, or lots of others who look at the fundamentals like room sizes and layout, but the cardinal rule of house selling is never overestimate the house buying public! You'd be surprised how many are put off by inconsequential things but won over by a bit of fluffing!0 -

I'm sure there are people who would be put off by a coloured loo seat. No one is put off by a white one.0
