Did get some good news tonight. Been nominated for woman of the year in group.
So well deserved - keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Actually just double checked and it's been eleven weeks (and two days) now since I fell GT. It's OK to walk on once I've been out of bed a few minutes, but any other movements are painful - kneeling down, etc, and running of course
Wow 46 years with your OH, GT - you're so lucky! I've been single so long that dating just doesn't appeal any more, I just want to fast-forward all the awkwardness and be in a comfortable relationship with someone lovely, but I'm starting to think I'm going to be one of those people it never happens for
Anyway, menu for today and tomorrow took some working out to use up perishables without having to buy anything new...
B - Mushroom and onion omelette with beans
D - Frozen jacket spud (1) with FF cottage cheese and grated-carrot-and-pickles salad
T - Speedy meat/Quorn bol from freezer with pasta
HEA - Milk
HEB - Seeds/pine nuts on salad for lunch
Syns - Sugar (4), not sure what else - might sneak a cake at run club later.
Have a good day all - sun's back out here after a proper miserable day yesterday!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Morning all! Has been lovely catching up this morning and finding out about you all!
I'm 36 (37 in November) also eternally single ( I am the biggest loser in love - if only it was the same with my weight haha), no kids but would love to have some one day if it's not too late.,,. I'm a commercial property solicitor- pretty boring and if I had my time again I would have liked to have been a doctor although that could be because I have a bit of a mad obsession with hospital dramas (ER, Greys Anatomy, House - love them all and have basically decided I am therefore a quasi-doc haha). Very close with my family and have a lovely bunch of friends too - we love going out to eat haha. I lost 2 stone with weightwatchers about 15 years ago and the weight has slowly crept back on. I did try it again last year but wasnt working for me with the new points system and what not. SW a much better plan.
TIE - i agree, to do something for 20 years that causes you so much anxiety tells me that you are stronger than you think... many would have quit!
Tete - so sorry that you're an orphandid you give up teaching because of the workload and no life or some other reason? One of my good friends also quit teaching as she felt she had no life and it caused her so much stress and upset. But as I mentioned somewhere earlier i have two sister and both are teachers who despite their mad workload do really love it. I think the support from yourschool makes a big difference. Also - high five fellow eternally singleton. Maybe this will be our year or are you done with relationships?!?!?
Kathrynha - sorry that you lost your brotherIt's so sad hearing about all these losses. Yet you are all really so kind and supportive of each other. I'm a bit of a geek as well - my family think I am their dedicated IT support. I love gadgets! Also - i agree try not to be upset about the 1/2 gain - remember you had that big loss because you were so poorly and couldn't keep anything down so i wouldn't even count it as a gain - just consolidating the bulk of what you did lose!
Beanie - i love chocolate tooand amazing that you do charity work. I would like to do something but trying to find something that works for me. I was a Samaritan for a while... but it's a big commitment mentally as well as time wise and I got fed up with the waste of time callers who were just nuts or perves!!
Sunshine - hahaha I also want a tummy piercing... if i get to my goal weight then I might do both as a treat to myself!!!
joedenise sounds like you have got it right with the motorhome whisking yourself away on a regular basis! And yes you're right I need to snack on speedy carrots.. i keep meaning to make the syn free houmus!
I'm sorry if i have forgotten anyone but thanks all for sharing! This has got to be the longest OFF TOPIC post ever!!
Back on topic - 1lb loss for me. Shocked by that and happy. I only wish it wasn't 1 of the 2lbs I gained last week haha anyway onwards and upwards determined to have a great on plan week!
Today's menu
Breakfast - Pinch of Nom recipe Cinnamon french toast (used 2/3 of my hexb) with strawberries and half a banana and some syn free syrup and 1/2 syn for a drizzle of choc shot.
Lunch - I am going to Wagamama with my colleague - i've checked the syns values and can have the teriyaki salmon soba or the teriyaki chicken donburi for 14.5 syns so will see what I feel like when I get there... I know I am missing speed so will get some fruit for after
Dinner - my syn free homemade tomato onion lentil and rice soup with one slice of toast as the remaining 1/3 of my HexB and I will have an apple for extra speed
HexA - milk in my coffee0 -
Just seen that a load of replies were posted as I was writing my epic post haha Kathynha well done on being nominated - good luck!
Sunshine - that's so sweet i hope i meet the love of my life someday! and menu looks great for today!
greentiger - your cat sounds adorable and very lucky to have you! I'm afraid I don't share the football love.. I am one of those people that groan when it comes on!! haha I'm part of a family of arsenal supporters though... booooooooo hisss0 -
:T to sarah and ceycey on your losses.
sarah, did you know that you can split your HEA if you want to? Today I'm going to have some of my HEA as milk for drinks and the rest as cheese with my dinner.
I'm just plodding on. Last night I wrote down every syn I'd had since last Thursday's WI. I had to estimate a little for a meal out but I'm convinced I'm well within syns for the week. Despite that I still feel fat.:(
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, baked beans, (part) HEA milk for drinks
L: veggie (tomato, mushroom and spring onion) omelette with saladSW spaghetti Bolognese with HEA Parmesan
Syns: none planned0 -

We all have times like that. Don't let it get you down. Just remember how much you have lost, and know in your head that your are thinner than you were, even when you don't feel it.Zebras rock0 -

It's lovely to hear about so many on here. I'm another who has been married a long time - 46 years last April. Only knew DH for 4 months before we got married - neither set of parents expected us to last more than 6 months, LOL!
Congratulations Kathryn on your nomination for Woman of the Year. I'd vote for you if you were at my group.
Last night's dinner got changed as we had a power cut mid afternoon and didn't know how long it was going to last so decided to have the curry I'd made earlier in the day (which was going to do tonight's dinner!) as I could just reheat that in the motorhome (I've only got electric cooking in the bungalow and gas in the motorhome).
Today's plan:
B - fry up - used up the last of the bacon & mushrooms so will need to buy more tomorrow
L - creamy basil & chilli pasta - have some left to eat later if I feel peckish although won't freeze it if I don't as it's got yoghurt in it)
D - fish pie & green veg
HEA - milk
HEB - not sure yet but have Hifi bars, Ryvita or nuts; may even split it
Syns - none planned but possibly a few if I decide on Ryvita.

Hi,
Isn't it grim outside? Non stop rain all day here. I have candles lit and one of my dogs is wearing his jumper! The other is snuggled on a blanket (he doesn't do clothes:D).
I've just made a SW recipe from the app, a veggie tortilla thing that I will have cold for lunches for the next few days. Syn free and really tasty. Dinner is Veggie syn free lasagne leftovers from the other day. Today is a low syn day, just as well because I had 28 yesterday! (Bar of choc, bag of crisps, can't remember what else). Still hoping for a loss on Saturday.
As for me, I'm 43, married just three years, vegetarian, dog lover, civil service for work. I only usually post on this thread but love reading the get ready for winter threads on old style, also frump to fab and some other old style threads which usually give me loads of ideas. Went to SW group about 6 years ago and did really well. However, our brilliant consultant left and I couldn't find another good group. Got together with my husband around this time so being happy and content allowed weight to creep back on. Trying to shift it for good now.
KATHRYN, in my old group I was nominated for Miss Slinky. I didn't win but was over the moon to be selected, such a good feeling and I felt real support from the other members which was lovely. Hope you are feeling this way too.
Good luck all xWeight loss 2017/2018 - 49 lbs0
