  • I was gonna say the same thing Kathrynha - what a load of whingebags. but glad most are ok.

what does everyone do by the way? and how old? what are your stories/mini bios?? not sure if I am allowed to ask that?!!? But very curious!

Tete - i have read similar things in the past.. i think my binge eating is definitely emotional eating rather than actual hunger! but like you say in true addict style i know I will regret it even as I am stuffing it in my face but at that moment can't seem to help myself! Other times i am totally fine and can resist temptation - so maybe it does have a lot to do with emotional well being on the days I can't say no!!

Great post tete . I'm sure syn free distraction is the way to go.
I'm posting as a distraction from ironing but I've told myself I'm not having lunch until it's finished so better get back to it!:(

Bottled sauces can be a nightmare gettingtheresometime. Goodness knows what they put in them. Conversely it does surprise me that some ready made meals like the sauces on some lamb shanks or barbecue beef can be so low.

    Doesn't make sense does it?

The annoying thing was that I was going to do the recipe that was in Tesco a few weeks back with the marinated chicken but never got round to it so the bottle sauce was a last minute panic thing.

Kathrynha - if I was you i'd be telling the moaners to shut up ...but I'm finding as I get near to 50 I'm becoming less tolerate of people who are inconsiderate of others....especially when they eat smelly fish!

Tete - I've just taken up cross stitch again and you need clean hands for that as well - at least it stops me eating from the sharing bag of crisps that hubby has which can only be a good thing!

:T Good loss greentiger . Well done! You must be delighted!

The free Batchelors savoury rice are the ones that take 15 minutes to cook in the microwave . The ones with a clock on the front saying 10 minutes have a few syns but not many.

I'm staying strictly on plan but don't feel like I'm losing at all. It's the bloated tummy that's getting to me. I hate it.

Our incredible sulk has now put in a transfer request, moaning about how badly he's been treated because we've refused to sell him when he has 5 years left on his contract! He'll be off soon no doubt.

Thanks for the pics bubbs . Your meal looks lush. You're quite a cook.:)
Thanks, i used to make cakes and pies:D like this below, now switched to healthy food

    Evening all

Today's been quite samey - usual breakfast & lunch with the leftovers from yesterday (Mary Berry's Moroccan stew) for tea but I did go swimming tonight for an hour so am pleased with today.

Bubbs what did you put in your pasties? I've got the ingredients to do the pasties with the Asda stewed steak ....all I have to do now is find 5 minutes to do them lol

Does anyone know where I can buy the Cheerios Oats (I think that's the only one you can use as heb) relatively cheeply? I usually alternate between shreddies & shredded wheat but I think even I'm getting fed up now but was gobbed snacked at the cost lol

I must admit as well I'm a little disappointed with the macaroon hifi bars....not what I was expecting at all....was hoping for more chocolate I think.
I put 5% minced beef ,onions and mushrooms with a dash of Worcester sauce, i cooked it and let it go cold so the bottom didnt go soggy, literally took 5 mins to make:D
Sorry I haven't been around much this week.Life is very busy, with it being school hols, meals are a bit ad-hoc.Sometimes I look at what I am eating and think "How could I describe this on MSE SW thread?".Lots of "picky eating",out for 2 All-you -can-eat meals (partner's birthday),where, even though I try to watch what I eat,I could not remember every different thing I ate to report back here.
I have been feeling very peckish this weeek, and I think that is partly because we are eating as and when, and I haven't done a proper grocery shop for a while, sodon't have my usual low-syn snacks in that I usually would.
Having said all that,I had weigh-in tonight, and lost 1/2 lb.I consider myself to be very lucky.
So now I need to be really good because I only have 2.5 lb to lose to get back into target range (which I got out of nearly 2 years ago :o......),but ,I realised after I got home from group tonight,I won't be able to weigh in at least next Monday, and ,depending when we get back from holiday, maybe not the Monday after either.I really hope Ican stay focussed while I am away,at a festival, and not weighing in for so long,so close to target.
:T:T:T wll done and good luck

    morning everyone
well done beanielou on SOTW and well done everyone for the losses.

    Today's menu
Breakfast - bacon medallions, mushrooms, beans and a frylight fried egg and a milky coffee (part HexA)
Lunch - homemade syn free soup (tomatoes, onion, lentils and rice) with 2 slices of no crust wholemeal as part of my HexB. Followed by Count on Us Skinny chocolate muffin dessert (7.5 syns) with strawberries on top for speed.
Dinner - the Steak and Beak Potato Hotbake which I made last night - took ages but was yummy - 1 syn for the plain flour and I will have with lots of brocolli
Snacks - Alpen light - will count it as 1.5 syns as I still have part of my HexB to use/

"Star" week for me so I am very worried about weigh in tomorrow - pretty sure I have gained again!! Aghhhhhh.

Tete - apparently its good to do something like painting your nails when you feel like snacking on something naughty!

bubbs Your pies look yummy - I am going to give these a go too!!

Thanks were easy and been thinking today could make sausage rolls:D

    Well done beanie:T:T:T:T:T

TIE - thanks for sharing that! Sounds like you've been through a lot and I'm really sorry for the losses :( I love that you have purple hair and a tattoo (I think i saw the pic - it's a bee right??). I would like a tattoo although i think my dad would probably disown me despite me being 36!! It's heartening to see that you have been at target for so long!! I get the impression a lot of the people on this board are on or around target and meanwhile I can't even get to target because of my eternally greedy gob!! Both my sisters are teachers so I know how important a good TA is and i can imagine that after 20 years you are super experienced and good at what you do!
Bubbs - i love your self given job title haha!
