sarahj1986 wrote: »I've been up to Tesco and got a wide range of fruit and vegetables all speed food. Ive tried not to have more than 3 portions of fruit per day as you say it's high in natural sugars. I don't like celery raw (cooked I quite like it) or cucumber but carrots I do so I might consider snacking on that every so often. I'm not a massive snacker though mainly down to not having time for it at work.
My lunches and dinners have all been 1/3 speed foods it's just breakfast that I struggle with. The only thing that keeps me full up is eggs so I try to have boiled eggs (if eating at work after the gym in the mornings) or scrambled eggs with beans at home. I'm going to try some of the different fruits I've bought to see how I am with those. It's normally apples bananas and grapes that can bloat me up early morning.
Planning is something I don't like to do for more than a couple of days ahead because sometimes I'll plan something but then not want it. I like to go with what I'm feeling like eating that way I enjoy it more. I do like my fruit and vegetables and even before doing SW my meals were in general very good. I spent most of my 20s living off ready meals and takeaways so I'm not one for those now. My biggest down fall is my sweet tooth. I like that I can have chocolate every day (within limits) on SW if I want to and still be on plan. Long term I can see SW really working for me because of this.
So plan for tomorrow -
B - red currants and goose berries. Alpro dark chocolate milk HexA and scrambled eggs.
L - salad made with lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, gherkins, chicken tikka and a small dollop of sweet onion sauce (2 syns I've pointed as). It's a copy of the salads they do in Subway. I really enjoyed it but at £4.50 it's too expensive to buy every day. This is my copy of it. I've just had it for my dinner and it was amazing.
D - cottage pie, made with normal and sweet potatoes and butternut squash top layer, lean mince beef, peas, carrots, onions, herbs, stock and a tablespoon of gravy powder to thicken it up, Worcestershire sauce and tomato puree. Served with lots of cauliflower
S - 2 alpen light HexB
Exercise- 10,000 steps and I might go to the gym
Any feedback will be appreciated
HexB I'm struggling with because I'm not a massive bread eater not do I eat cereals much either!
I like to think I'm not too fussy an eater but writing that all down I do look like one :rotfl:
Sarah - if you have a sweet tooth then maybe use your Hex B on Alpen Lights - you can 2 for your HexB! That way you could have one as a treat after lunch or dinner or as a snack..
Well done everyone for the great losses.
Kathynha - glad you feel like you have more energy - long may it continue.
Maman - apologies for the 'dirty' word...but you know what I mean.. staying on plan!

My weekend has been ok and on plan in terms of meals but as I was at my parents both days I did snack a bit on nuts in the evening and also had deserts both days. Struggling to find my SW mojo at the moment. On the bright side, I had a tough PT session on Saturday and went for a 5km run on Sunday so at least I have done well on the body magic front this weekend. Aim is to try and 2 x PT sessions and 2 x run per week minimum.
Today's menu
Breakfast: mushroom omelette with bacon medallions - free and 1/2 syn of ketchup
Lunch: will use my HexA (30g lactofree cheddar) and HexB (3 x no crust kingsmill slices) to make tuna sweetcorn and red pepper melts and will have this with a side salad
Dinner: Probably a Bachelors pasta n sauce with some veg.
Syns - half a Bounty with some strawberries - 7 syns.
I am also going to do some batch cooking tonight and make a zero syn Turkish lentil and rice soup to freeze/have for lunch during the week and also the Beef and Bean Hotpot Bake from the SW website so I have it for dinner/later in the week.0 -
Morning all,
quick post for me - will grab a cuppa later and catch up on the thread
Weekend was fairly good food and drink wise although probably not as much speed as I should have had
Todays meal plan
B: Strawberrys and muller light
L: Scan barn and philli extra lightfish and salad - lots of speed
Snacks boiled egg and celery sticks.
HEA Milk and HEB Scan bran.
Not getting my hopes up for WI tomorrow but given its star week and I am yet to have chocolate I will consider it a NSV!!
Off to the gym this evening toowalk 2018 miles in 2018 - 781 of 2018

Well , I cannot understand it, I have lost 2lb and my legs seem to have gone fatter especially from my knees up the knees are like footballers and the tops are like tree trunks. Ankles not too bad I don't know what to do it is very frustrating. Does anyone else have this problem?
Well done wiz!:TDon't have that particular problem with my legs, but I know sometimes I feel fatter when I am lighter than I was before. Have you been doing lots of exercise and building your leg muscles?
I hope that's true:D. I'm feeling quite fat today but I know I'm sticking to plan and had far fewer syns than usual over the weekend.
If you're worried wiz, I'd ask your GP just in case.:)
Shame you had a bad weekend tete, as you were so good last week. Well done on your loss anyway.:T Where do you get these rubbish foods? Do you go out and buy them specially? I try to not keep food in the house that's not SW friendly. I just buy treats for my DH that I won't like.
Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather msm. Take care of yourself. No comfort eating.
That's a really good menu for today sarahj. It's almost SP so should boost you weightloss.:)
DH and I will be 'ships that pass' this evening so we're getting our own dinner. I was going to have egg and chips:drool: but that's a bit samey with my breakfast that DH cooked for me. I'll write that down but may change it if I can think of a better alternative. Whatever I have will be SW friendly.
EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes
L: cold chicken, fried veg and beetrootegg, chips and.......
Syns: none0 -

Glad I'm not the only one that does that. My daughter is only allowed salt and vinegar crisps, and they are only allowed biscuits that contain nutsZebras rock0 -
Sadly, there are not many snacks I don't like!100

Tried to avoid scales this week as hurt my back so popping painkillers which in turn affected my tum
. Not been the best food wise either. Had lots of leftover lasagna beginning of week, not sw friendly but gluten free (hubby makes mine separately
). Comfort food
So for my own record I did sneak a peek - gained (as expected) 1.8lb:o. Hoping when things get moving (i.e. No painkillers) I will lose it again, fingers crossed
Really fed up with every holiday ending with back problems though

I'm all lurgied up unfortunately. Seem to have the never ending sneezes, it's driving me nuts. My nose feels on fire. I had this a couple of years ago and it was my sinuses so am wondering if it's the same thing. Can't sleep, can't concentrate blah blah blurgh. Just feel ugh. Sorry for the moan!
On the SW front, another day of trying hard here. I'm determined to have a good loss come WI on Saturday.
