Been busy for the last week. So have not been keeping up to date with the thread. Takes a bit of time to read it. Worth it seeing what everyone is going through and the highs and lows. I see this as my extra group, but unlike the group I go to you are here all the time.

Went to WI last night and I have lost 2.5lbs Total now 9 lb so got my half stone award. Hazel lost 3 lbs Total now 25 lbs. Club 10 award and SOTW.

Bit of background nearly 53 married to Hazel for 33 years. 2 Sprogs DS 30 on Wednesday Lives 200 miles away. DD 33.5 Lives at home! Spent 24 years in British Army. Left 12 years ago. Never found anything that I wanted to do so have done a few jobs. Last working for M&S (Hazel works in the store I started in) for 5.5 years. Left in Feb 2016 because I could financially and because I had enough of the wrong sort of customer. Don't get me wrong enjoyed the job but it got to the point that I felt like planting a few customers! Am looking for a new career but not sure what.

Right now off to ride 40k's on the bike.

:T to esmy on your loss and well done for sorting out multi-quote!;)

:T to you and hazel on your losses too merlin. I'm sure hazel is thrilled that she lost more than you this week as it's very unusual for men to lose less than women especially if you're both following the same menu plan.

I can see why you see this as a second group. It has lots of similarities. We have members (like lois and lush and lantanna) who maybe need a break or getting their heads in the right place to re-start. What's great about this group is that it's completely free and we don't have taster sessions! (although we can drool over other people's menus like bubbs' pasties). Like you midge, I've always gone to a morning group and I feel I'm eating just for the sake of it to be polite. Why they'd want taster sessions in the school holidays I've no idea!

:T I'm calling that a nsv staying away from the shops tete and very mse too:money:. Well done.

I'm still in admiration of your abstinence midge. It's my wedding anniversary on Sunday so we're going out for the day and so an off plan meal will probably be involved. I really should try to save some syns. My compromise is having gin instead of wine:o.

I haven't done my meal plan and shop yet so will report back later. SW breakfast was scrambled eggs on HEB toast.

Thanks , we have KFC sw way tonight:D
I need to change something , i think im eating too much fruit after what denise said the other day

Hi all  well i did pop in a few weeks back and think about getting back in the swing of things again but as usual it never rains it pours and I had other family issues crop up.

BUT I went back to class again on Thursday after a break and so back on it, I don't know how much weight was gained in the "break" but it was enough for me not to be able to do my work trousers up :o:eek: I was thrown another curveball yesterday as my dad's had a motorbike accident (he's 70!) but he's ok so i'm determined for that not to be another excuse to eat everything in the cupboards!

Hope everyone's ok :grouphug: big hugs to you Kathryn, hope the pain killers start working pretty darn soon. Please let me know if you want me to help with the chart, we don't want that pressure put on you as well if you're feeling poorly xxx

    So menu for today
    B - sausages on a roll (heb, 4.5 for sausages & sauce)
L - punnet of strawberries, pickled beetroot - not together but I was eating on the run :rotfl:
T - HB braising steak, carrots, baby potatoes
    S - coconut hifi (3) crisps (3.5) carrot sticks

Right off to read back through the thread to see what everyone's been up to and look at Bubbs' pasties! ;)

Hi Shala. Really have been missing you on here. Glad you are back.

I'm managing fine with the chart. It's good to keep busy. However if you are around 18th-27th (next Friday for a week), I am away, so someone to look after the chart whilst I'm away would be good, thanks

Back from quite a successful hospital appointment.
Got some very strong pain killers, so hoping they cut it. Also got something that will help me sleep at night, to take when needed, but hoping the pain relief will sort that out. Iron levels low, but not dangerously, but the are keeping a close eye on it.

Had a really good talk about how I'm feeling, and the advice is same as you lot have said. Take the pressure off myself for a while, and just eat what I fancy, that I'm allowed and that I can keep down.

Glad you had a successful appointment:T hope the tablets work xx

My thoughts too. Good to hear from your shala. So pleased to have you back.:A

Positive news from the hospital appointment kathrynha. Fingers crossed you have a better week coming up.:)

I did my meal plan and shop. Didn't need too much as 3 meals out planned. All I can do is try to choose wisely (when I can as 2 of the 3 are at friends' homes) while still enjoying myself.

    Today's fine though: EE plan
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: strawberries with 0% Greek yogurt
D: burger, patatas bravas, mushrooms, sugar snaps, broad beans
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, 1 for BGTY burger, Gin!;)

You should be fine with that bubbs . Your breakfast and lunch don't look very substantial though so don't go hungry.

You won't do any harm going without your HEB for a day but you do need fibre but can get it from veg. There's a huge list of HEBs, take a look.

Out of curiosity, what were you eating before that made you put weight on? You make such lovely meals so hardly think you were having junk.

All the best for today Kathrynha - be very kind to yourself.

Haha, I once had a camera confiscated at Court but took my darts in, no problem!

Well done Maman, heading in the right direction again.

-1lb for me this week. Happy with that as I very rarely lose any more regardless of how good or otherwise I am. I got caught out at the tills at Aldi the other day - they sell packs of flat bread chips that boast 12 calories per serving on the packet - having eaten the packet and then checked the nutritional info on the back a serving is apparently one flatbread chip, not the whole packet!! In whose world is one chip a serving? Anyway, moral of the tale is don't shop when you're hungry...

Yay think I did the multiquote thing.

Years ago, I found a massive pair of wallpaper scissors in the bottom of my bag.... from decorating mum's living room 6 months before.... during that period my bag had been through court security a few times a week.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Clearly they only confiscate cucumbers, water and camera! :D:D:D:D:D

Well done for the weight loss. x
Has anyone seen Lois Lane around? I miss her posts!
Also Lush hasn't checked in for ages, it's great to have all our newbies but I do miss the oldies.

I think we are mostly mature but crazy ladies!
