YodaI've been hanging around with happy bunny, motivating penguin and going through geeky cross stitch, so you may get some weird and wonderful quotes this month - as I said before, take what you can from different sources.
Summed me up yesterday got up early, list out for all my jobs and then just seemed to sit around to mid day. Not like me at all, felt so tired then fell back to sleep after cleaning car. Hayfever awful as well. Managed to use up bit fence paint and do one panel - only one that really needed doing so please did that. Steps rubbish ,8K my eyes were itchy so came home.
Anyway kept me about the house or in the garden, my first SFD so proud.
Today calling at Lidlee on way home need face cream, milk, oil and a lettuce spendy day plus need petrol.
Seen raspberries in my garden yesterday will pick them later, handful will do me.
Still haven't set budgets in stone, tried but work got in the way:rotfl:
Thanks Mothernerd for the daily inspirational quotes. Today's is so true xLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Late comer reporting for duty:
JOY - every time I post I will post my gratitudes.
ORGANISE – Just done budgets for the month. Want to pay off £3k of debt this year so really need to get paying more to my debt each month. As my debt is )5 I seem to be aimlessly drifting and that is not good.
YOU - I am usually quite good about being positive about life but last week was a slight downer but back up and raring to go. Am going to create a vision board this week.
FRUGAL - I have joined he Frugalwoods challenge but the first 3 days have turned out very un-frugal!!
USE - everywhere was quite bare as no monthly shop done last month so have done a monthly shop and that is it (bar fruit and veg and son’s packed lunch stuff) for the month. Will hopefully use up some weird and wonderful things.
LOOK after you. – I have this week off work and the house to myself (DH at work and DD at school) so am doing what I like (as well as housework and decluttering). Am going to see a natural allergy therapist this week as I think I am possibly intolerant to lactose.
UNLESS – have arranged to meet work colleague this week. This is the same colleague who had an op earlier this year and we used to meet every 2 weeks to get her out of the house, she is all fixed now but we have one more independent tea room we wanted to visit. Other than that outing have nothing else planned.
LITTLE and OFTEN – will keep walking the dogs/walking to the animals. Will try to do more if I can (I tend to do more in winter when the dogs can walk further)
YOU will have 16 NSD's – 16 NSD’s here we come!!!0 -
So it's Day 3 and I have spent every day so far:mad:
Saturday should have been a NSD as helping out at charity event but they didn't provide food or drink for people volunteering:eek: so had to buy drinks. As I was spending anyway I found a church stall and brought home made strawberry jam, sweet chilli sauce and red onion chutney:j
Yesterday I did the monthly food shop - most done in Lidl but had to go to Tesco for scourers, gluten free bread etc
And today the dog is poorly so she has been to the vets. They think she has an ear infection (that's why I took her as DH had decided this) but as she is so scared of the vet they don't know for sure so got ear drops and if no better in a few days they will have to sedate her and then look into her ear in case she has a grass seed in there:(
Today I am grateful for:
1. Lovely vets squeezing me in first thing rather than waiting 6 hrs for an afternoon apt
2. Off work today and have been pottering around decluttering and doing housework
3. Fab weather to get all my washing dry
Sorry forgot to say congrats to Mrs Hubbard:A0 -
Had a nice day with the children and every penny spent was worth it. We went to softplay and also to spoons and had a good meal. It was great to be out with the children instead of in a small room with my everymove being watched. We also went to the park. Tomorrow will be NSD to make up for the spend day.
Today I am greatful for spending time with my two girls
also to our social care system who have looked after my girls as I have gone through this tough time.No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 1340 -
Joiner has just left and I have to wait for sealant to dry so I won't manage to do the deep clean of the bathroom. However, I have done the washing and ironing and a lot of biggish jobs in the kitchen so not a total loss. My first NSD (cheer!) and both our dinners and lunches and the boy's have come from the freezer/store cupboard. Tomorrow's will as well so it will only be a minimal spend, if at all (Think C has run out of orange biscuits for our little friend, Toni). Haven't managed a walk because of waiting for the joiner but haven't been sitting on my backside all day. I have just found out that my friend and her partner have arrived from London today so maybe an unexpected day out on Wednesday - not sure as they're here to to take his mother on holiday (his mother is 90 and an absolutely gem - I love her to bits).
Other news. C's late sister's flat is finally going on the market today (don't know why it's taken so long) and I'm hoping that once it is sold it might settle him a bit. I don't think he's able to move forward until all of this is sorted out. His brother was taken to hospital yesterday with another suspected heart attack but luckily it was a false alarm and he's back home now. Oh and someone thought it was a good idea to buy Toni and his sister tin drums!!!!!
Hope everyone has had a good day.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Any suggestions on how to stop a cat sitting on the keyboard when you're trying to type?
Good day at work today, we are training someone else up on the tills (as a back up incase one of us goes sick etc) and she's doing so well on her own already I was able crack on with some of the weeks work.
YOU If you don't like it, change it. Weight & Fitness. I was aiming for a 7 mile run yesterday, but I got to mile 2 and my body wanted to give up. I think it was just overtired. Managed to push myself to 5 miles thou, so was pleased with that. Today is a much deserved rest day.
FRUGAL The Frugalwoods are having another Uber Frugal Month Challenge I have read thru the emails and completed the current assignments. Found a four leaf clover on our walkies this afternoon, so I have tucked it into my goal list in my wallet.
USE what you have. Forgot to get anything out of the freezer for tea. Bf suggested takeaway (we have a new house rule, who-ever suggests it has to pay for it, and he's just got his monthly pay). But I dug a couple of potatoes out and we had jackets with tuna mayo. Yummy.
LOOK after you. Enjoying my training rest day.
UNLESS you have a specific reason you should avoid takeaways etc Bf is a little disappointed, but avoided!
YOU will aim for 16 NO Spend Days 3/20 Three out of threeI don't have anything needed money in the next few days (apart from a couple of £10 notes in birthday cards, but that comes out of the presents pot) so hopefully I can keep a streak going.
1) No run today.2) Being able to russle up an emergency tea.
3) Getting ahead in workload for this week.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Evening all
Yesterday was a SFD as planned also sold a light fitting for £20 so that was good! Did all my jobs in the back garden inc 3.5hrs sunbathing! :j
Today I am counting as a sfd as the only things I bought were bread and more cereal for my Airbnb guests and bread would have gone off if bought with my shop on Friday.
So I'm on 2 NSD :T
Really can't be bothered to go to gym ATM but eating has been good so semi ok!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
nsd 1 today
the weekend was fabulous and involved using many vouchers and free outings so in total (including buying some clothes for my son and an entire evening out ) I spent £56. That might sound alot but I normally average about £100 a weekend (they are my downfall).
Grateful for :
My health
My last long training run before my 10k
My pre paid annual gym pass0 -
Today wasn't a NSD - I forgot my e-cig today at work and had to buy a disposable one to get me through. I didn't have the greatest day at work today - I messed up one piece of work (it was checked as I'm still training in this new area and I've fixed it now) but it's always disheartening when you get something wrong. The plan is to get 'signed off' by Thursdsy but we'll see.
I left earlier today (I have 5.5 hours of flexi to use) but don't know why I bothered because the traffic was horrendous and it took 1 hour 20 minutes in the car (usually 30) and when I add on the 20 min walk to the car the whole journey nearly took 2 hours. So that 'extra' time was spent melting in the car. Not good.
I also had a really dissapointing lunch today too - I tried to make one of the 'noodles in jar' type things but my stock was too watery so it was just a watery mess (with no flavour) of chicken, broccoli and noodles. Note to self - try new dishes at home first!
I'm grateful for the chicken I roasted yesterday - I've used up leftovers today for lunch and dinner. Dinner was chicken fajitas and the leftover fajitas are lunch for tomorrow. I'm winning at this food prep/use what's in the cupboards at the moment!! And dinner was delicious so it's not like I'm depriving myself of nice food (if we ignore the lunch mishap).
I'm aiming for Tuesday to be a NSD - I'd like to hit 5 by the end of next weekend if possible.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Today I am grateful for dd having some work, for dd being lovely, for a good day at work myself, for getting some niggly jobs done, for lots of walking, for committing to doing the 30 day shred (only on day 1 - I may not be quite so grateful for committing to it later...), for the Tour, for a friend passing on 2 pairs of trousers to me, for living among a lot of greenery, for being able to help someone on my way home.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
