So I totally forgot that today will not be a NSD as the car was due for its MOT. Just got back from the garage - £252 later which included a full service too. I will endeavour to make Wednesday and a Thursday NSD - usually have a Friday treat from my personal spends but I'll see how the account looks first after the MOT is gone.

Left work early today and there wasn't as much traffic so a win there. Dinner is in the oven - very little effort required as it's the chilli cottage pie I had popped in the freezer!

I'm grateful that there was nothing seriously wrong with the car because that would have hurt the bank balance.

It rained all day today but I went for a walk anyway. Was lovely and refreshing,
Bought some veg to make soup for dinner tomorrow night (using up stock and chicken from freezer as well). It's an easy meal when C goes out and we're not eating at the same time. Have also worked my way through the handwash and deodorant that I bought six months ago so had to start replenishing stocks.

Not a NSD here. Haircut for Little Man and hubby decided to buy us butties for lunch and also bought potatoes on the way back.

Hubby's sorted through his books/dvds and have split them between ziffit and music magpie. Going to go through Little Man's books tomorrow and then send them off. £12 so far which is quite depressing when you think how much you pay new but it's money for stuff that's sat not being used anyway.

Started listing maternity stuff on facebook, have a few more tops drying I need to iron & photo which I'll do tomorrow.

Made some corn beef stew for tea and froze half.

    Tomorrow's jobs are:-

Need to do a charity shop run tomorrow to clear the stuff we couldn't sell.
Do another bit of batch cooking for the freezer ready for when hubby's back at work. Thinking a lasagne.
    Finish listing clothes for sale

    Today's joys are:-
My mum buying us a second hand carrycot for our pram
A bit of sunshine and dry weather so hubby could clean the van
Wimbledon on telly - I find it very relaxing to watch

    Hi guys
NSD 3 for me, but no excercise because the weather was rotten here so it's been a lazy day.
Spare veg and a portion of stewed steak cooling to go into the freezer for a quick meal if necessary.
Hopefully the weather will be a bit better tomorrow.
Well done everyone for all the NSDs

    Daily Inspiration

When life knocks you down, roll over and look at the stars.

Sorry for abandoning you turtles. Tried after midnight and first thing this morning, but couldn't get a signal.

Wanted to be at mum's early as the Community matron was coming - she has put rockets up a few doctor's and mum is getting new antibiotics tomorrow, plus the eye drops that got left off the order. She has to take the anti-biotics for two weeks but I have to phone if things haven't improved in a week.

Yesterday I did loads of gardening for mum (she wants the fence painting so I was cutting back everything against the fence and making space for Mrs Builer to work) and some form filling.

Today I was only supposed to stay until lunch but have done more cutting back (took my tree saw), hemmed and washed some curtains and moved a dining room table (this involved moving everything in the room including 5 large full cardboard boxes and 3 packs of toilet rolls + winter and spare bedding, numerous umbrellas and walking sticks, folding up two walkers). However we can now get in the wardrobe sized cupboards.

Feeling happy with myself but tired. I am going again tomorrow (someone else should have been there then) but not first thing and not for long - shopping for mum first and crafts in the afternoon.

For yesterday I am grateful for finding my purse, for not having any hospital appointments this week and for good reading material. For today I am grateful for everything I got done, for the lovely nurse and for food from the freezer.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Today I am grateful for my workout, for walking, for buses too, for chats with a French colleague, for my washing machine, for the tennis, and the Tour, for dd wanting to do the brownie w/end away, for another nsd, for raspberries.

    Yay - 1st NSD of the month:T

(Did spend on postage for an ebay item but as the seller paid for postage I wont count it. DD also 'needed' make up so took her to Tesco and she paid with her Child Benefit money)

Had a food failure today - tried to make lettuce pesto - all I can say is :(

Made 2 batches to use up the lettuce, I froze one batch in ice cube trays and the other batch went in a bowl in the fridge. As it was so gross I added it to a spag bol with plenty of seasoning and you wouldn't even know it was in there:rotfl:

    Today I am grateful for:
    Another day off work
My dog is feeling much better (I know she's better as she barked at me when she saw the ear drop bottle, she never barks unless she gets excited when playing)
Finding recipes that I had forgotten about (decided to sort recipes out, these are ones torn from papers and magazines years ago and never used)

Walked nearly 3.5 miles this morning, haven't done any exercise aside from that. Not losing weight but maintaining. No NSDs to be seen this month, but the house is being cleaned and decluttered, so I am making money, just not saving it. I think it balances out.
