We're getting a mortgage with nationwide would be a lovely surprise if they still do the boxes:beer:

We completed with Nationwide yesterday, box was waiting for us when we went Into the house.

Printed box looking like a fish tank on the outside, with some essentials (tea, coffee, biscuits and cleaning products in).

Also got a bottle from the estate agent, shame it's white and not red though!

In all the years I've bought and sold houses I've not once had a gift from any party involved.

Estate agent (Savills) brought round a bottle of corporate branded champagne after my last purchase. Selling agent on outgoing house offered me a free lunch but yet to go and claim that!

We arrived to find a box containing teabags, squash, popcorn, biscuits, a posh pot noodle, sachets of shampoo and conditioner, febreze, a dish sponge, zoflora, a razor, bin bags, kitchen towel, loo rolls, and a canvas bag, a magazine and a pile of vouchers for places like Hillary’s and Hello Fresh. It was a nice surprise, especially considering it arrived—at our new address—before we’d even exchanged contracts!

Aw fab, now I'm excited :rotfl: congrats on your new house! Did they take long to send the offer after valuation?
