Either theyve stopped this or left us out, but completed on October 17 with Santander and got nothing0 -
We had a good box from Barratt today, mugs, clipper tea, posh coffee, monty bojangles chocolate, nice biscuits, fairy, zoflora, bin bags, tool kit, tape measure, picture hanging kit, Baylis and Harding handwash, key rings.
Anyone know if Halifax send anything these days? Or maybe I!!!8217;m just being greedy!0 -
The only thing you will get off an EA is their bill the day after exchange.
I’ve never had anything from a mortgage company or the person whose house I’m buying.
I always leave a card, flowers and bottle of champagne. Only time I didn’t was when the buyer caused me 6 mths Of stress and guzunder us on the day of exchange.0 -
We're getting a mortgage with nationwide would be a lovely surprise if they still do the boxes:beer:0

Same here! Hadn't even occurred to me that lenders or the previous owners might do this. Maybe I shouldn't have read this - now I'll be disappointed if we get nothing!0 -
In all the years I've bought and sold houses I've not once had a gift from any party involved.
In America you get 'Welcome' gifts/vouchers/whatever but I wasn't aware of it happening here.0
