    Afternoon:),

OH & I went for a lovely walk along Benone beach this morning & then drove up to a lake which looks down across the beach and into Donegal. Really beautiful way to start a morning. Only downside was that my boots (haven’t worn in about a year) rubbed the back of my feet & now have 2 blisters:(.

We stopped at Sainsbury’s on way home but OH bought a few bits and my purse stayed firmly closed.

Plans now, vegetate in front of fire with tea and put of tomorrow for as long as possible.

24 days to debt freedom :D

Your morning sounded lovely Munchin. I walked along the path next to our beach today. I doubt that it is as scenic as yours though. It’s a bit built up around here and when the tide goes out it’s rather muddy.....!:D

    Morning :hello:

A week has skipped past and I've really nothing exciting to update. My Mum was poorly so have been going between 2 houses but she seems to be on the mend. Work has been a bit of a pain as I have a problem child staff member who has been really throwing his weight around. Hopefully the week ahead will be much better.

I got word of a potential vacancy back in my old place which would be amazing but it's only a rumour but has managed to unsettle me. There is very little I can do but keep an eye out and as the saying roughly goes 'If it's for you it will not go by you'.

Money front - bit spendy this week because I was paying for my Mum's bit and bobs as well as my own. Will be nice to make my final payment in Feb to the debt and then I can start on the savings.

So plans today....get work gear ready, watch Columbo and drink coffee. OH is talking about a walk later but I keep my head down he might go away :D
  • Sorry your mum hasn't been well and glad she's on the mend.

How have your morning runs been going? Your beach walk last week sounded so lovely :).

I hope your problem staff member settles down and decides to grow up.

Hi HHD, - runs have been going well. I do between 2 - 3.5 miles on a Tues & Thurs morning and I feel really good for it :). I'm not sure what will happen tomorrow morning because of the snow/ice warming.

I was a bit bleurgh yesterday but it's just because I'm feeling a bit unsettled. This morning has been nuts but in a busy positive way.

Thanks Seaside, Mum is better and back to giving orders and feeding the 5000 :D.

NSDs are unfortunately a necessity as I'm so skint until end of the month. I have £46 left on my Asda shopping card and £63.61 in purse which also has to cover 1 therapy session. Things are squeaky until end of January and then February will not be much better as I'm determined to pay the last of my debt. However it is all doable and the sooner I have an emergency fund the better.

I've got loads done today. I woke up earlyish when OH was getting ready to go to work. Still a gorgeous snowy winter wonderland outside and headed to nearest big town to order nephew his birthday cake and spend an hour at my volunteering thing. I then got home and cleaned from top to bottom and cleared out old receipts and tat that has gathered up. I also did some banking and sorted out a few bills online and that is me sorted for the day.

Work front - I have been flat out and getting up at 5.30am to get 6.30am train then I don't get home to 7pm so feeling a bit knackered. Hopefully these long hours will settle down soon but I'm continuing to keep my hopes up on a post closer to home.

ED front - therapy going well and making so much progress. Feeling good in myself and although today I was doing a million chores round the house I managed to have a nice bath and pamper myself for the week ahead.

Plans now - take pup for a short walk as its a bit too cold for him..which reminds me that I have to contact the vet this week to get his treatments.

Week ahead - so hope I finally get caught up on the work thing and then I have a volunteering thing on wed night.

I think it's time to start looking ahead at possible holidays and nice things to do.
