Dreaming of a life after debt

Morning :hello:,
Hope everyone had a lovely Xmas. OH & I had such a nice day, we headed to my Mums for an hour to see my family and then we came back to our house for dinner. We had 3 courses but they were spaced through out the day. Finished last night with opening pressies and drinking pretend Baileys:). I fell asleep on sofa so that meant I couldn't get to sleep last night.
Family were very kind on the pressie front so I now have vouchers for Next & House of Fraser, new jammies, and lots of other wee pressies but lots and lots of chocolate.
Money front - I have about £10 left for the rest of Dec. I did get my Dec salary early but trying not to touch it until January. I always take a weeks leave in January as it is such a miserable month but that should help on the spending front.
Eating front - it's been really really tough this last week but feel much better today. I think there was such an abundance of food that I struggled a bit. However pulling up big girl pants and hopefully back to better form.
OH is still in bed but our plans today are to go to his family for lunch/dinner at 4pm. Until then I will be reading diaries and support pages for ED.0 -
Morning
So I survived another buffet at the inlaws. OH is the youngest of his family and there is a BIG age gap between him and his siblings which causes a bit of stress between them. I had a really nice evening but I was glad to be home as OH was starting to get very wound up.
Mum has just been texting me to see if we could make use of some of her leftover food...well if she insists.
I've just done a YNAB reset so that means that I start with a fresh budget on January 1st. The plan is that I clear the car loan in January and then it will take 2 more payments to clear the credit card so I will be debt free on 01st March 2018:D. The only downside is that I am planning on living on fresh air until 1st Jan. We have a freezer full of food so there is no reason why I need to be spending money.
Time to start clearing up the Xmas wrapping etc

Thanks SS & HHD - can't wait til March
.
New Year's Eve already or as my sis in law says - Old Year's end. I did attempt to get OH out for a Sunday stroll but he wasn't budging and put on a nice roaring fire for me.
I have a bottle of Prosecco chilling in the fridge (thank you Lidl) and OH and I are going to have a quiet night in. We are so hoping that 2018 will be much more joyful than 2017.
Money front - I got a letter on Thurs past to let me know the Saving company have released the funds so that within 3 working days I will be able to pay my car loanand half my credit card. I put £100 on my works Asda gift card for my groceries in January, it saves me 3% which I know isn't tons but trying to scrimp every penny where I can. Last night I couldn't get in the house as my key kept turning in the back door lock and we never use the front door so its usually pretty stuck. OH managed to get front door unstuck and it does look like the back door lock is broke. Also the water isn't circulating through the radiators from the fire so OH is currently trying to fix that. It just goes to show how easily expenses can occur ...but hopefully OH will get the radiator problem fixed and I know he can fix the back door and it should only cost the price of a new lock.
Eating front - Things are settling down on that front. I can clearly see a direct link between my stress levels and my eating. Xmas was stressful (& enjoyable) eating was out the window!!. Therapist is back on 10th Jan so I will have lots of things to discuss with her.
So plans for the year ahead ...assuming we all stay happy and healthy on this journey-
- clear my debts
- build up savings
- to have my dream holiday of the Maldives at least booked and funded
- Eating front - to be a normal eater with no ED issues.
