Hi HHD, I’m so lucky that I’ve clicked so well with my therapist. There are a lot more good days than bad ones now
.
So OH and I were looking at Maldives last night and it’s kind of good that he is so onboard as it turns out he has been researching without me. So I’ve narrowed down our choices and one of the options is Cinnamon Dhonveli with Virgin holidays. I’ve costed it based on going in May this year but it will not be until 2019. So 13 nights beach front, all inclusive from London is £4313 + flights to London (£200) + possibly accommodation in London (£200) + spending money & clothes (£500) = ....£5,213/2 = £2600 but will aim for £3000 just in case. Part of me is so against spending that amount on a holiday but it’s a dream and as they say I can’t take it with me:D.
Next post is going to be about savings pots.....which are empty at the moment

Holiday 2018 - target £600/£50 saved (8%)
Salary buffer - target £2000/£0 saved (0%)
Maldives Savings - target £3,000/£0 saved (0%)
Emergency fund - target £30,000/£0 saved (0%) (seriously long term saving goal)
Christmas savings - target £500/£0 saved (0%)
Asda Xmas gift cards - target £288/£6 saved (2%) (saving for 2 cards which I will get in Nov & get £12 top up. One card is for my Mum & the other helps towards January costs for me).
Zopa- target £3000/£1956 saved (65%) (5 year policy & I have 2 years to go at £50 per month. Matures January 2020.)
National Friendly - £25 (This is a 10 year policy which I pay £25 a month towards and this started this month. I had a previous 10 year policy that just matured and allowed me to pay off car loan and a big bit of the credit card. I decided to continue on with the £25 payments & God willing I will enjoy it in another 10 years. Matures January 2028 wow....will we have flying cars by then?

Love to think of you in a flying car Munchin!:rotfl:
Nothing wrong in having a dream expensive holiday if it is budgeted for (unlike some of my past holidays that were just put on the CC willy-nilly). You seem to have everything worked out as usual. I wish I had been as sensible as you at your age! One thing I would say though is get that emergency account funded as fast as can with, say, at least £500 in case of the washing machine/car type mishaps. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
Finished Emergency Fund- £10,000 April 2017

Thanks Seaside
, yes I’ve done the same ... bunged it on the credit card and hoped for the best .
I’m great at plans, it’s just sticking to them I find difficult. You are right about mini emergency fund. I will be adding £200 to emergency fund come March so I will hopefully have £2,000 by Xmas (assuming no emergencies crop up).

Morning :hello:
Oh I need coffee this morning, work situation is seriously pants at the moment and it just seems to go from bad to worse. I had a piece of work approved by my big boss and then another big boss came to me at 5.50pm to see if I was in tomorrow as he wants it done again:(. I think the problem is both bosses have their own agenda and I’m in the middle....cannot wait until I’m on leave. Didn’t sleep much from worrying which isn’t like me but I just think it’s the weeks of pressure getting to me. Sorry for negativity so early in morning:o.
Back to being positive... 4 days to go until I’m on leave and 6 days to go until I’m debt free :T.
Grabbed 5 Swagbucks this morning (surveys don’t like me) and £1.07 on Prolific ( first survey in ages)
Ok got to go.. train is pulling into station

Hi
I’m a happier bunny than I was this morning. Scary piece of work is awayand will hopefully never darken my door again.
I have 3 deadlines closing tomorrow but they are now achievable.
Money front - I should really think about how many NSDs I manage when I’m skint...which is quite a few, so really I should be able to achieve a lot more NSDs during the month but because I have the cash I just fritter. Also completed a second Prolific survey:).
Plans tonight - bed early & relax.

It sounds ridiculous if one boss approves and another says do it again .
The dream holiday sounds amazing if you can budget for it.
