Lydia apparently DGD was cool, calm and collected, throughout, even after encountering a child in floods of tears on the way in (poor little love, if that had been DGD, DD would have asked her if she'd rather just go home!)
She said some of it was easy and some was hard, but we are so thrilled that she stayed "together", considering that a few months ago she was refusing to entertain the idea of doing it at all!

I am puzzled though about how visitors access the front door.

I think the design allowing the front door to be on the side of the house rather than the front, thus freeing up the whole of the front aspect for living space rather than hallway, is a big part of the reason why being on the end of the terrace increases the value, though.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Late to the party, but would love it if you would PM me too Pastures.

Urk Ivyleaf, glad you've got first eye done. Hope the second one gets fixed ASAP. Apparently I have first signs of cataracts so at some stage will be following you, though last time saw optician she said not progressing fast so hopefully I'll drop dead before I need the op(s). (squeamish about eye stuff) Horrified by refusal for accommodation at your DGD's school by some officious person. Grrr! :p

Sue, glad you've got your car sorted. It felt like forever waiting for mine after it was ordered, just so excited. :o So glad you've found something that will work for you, and even better you're getting some freebee upgrades! :j What colour have you chosen? That's always been the part I enjoy the most! ;)

Whilst I don't disagree with that, for me the extra value is down to the additional strip of land at the side and only having one set of adjoining neighbours.

Was quite surprised looking at the layout of the mid-terraced ones, I'm sure they could have laid them out better. PN's is a far better layout and the width of the back garden is really noticable compared to the pictures of the mid-terraces.
That one with the conservatory, almost has a rug for a grass area!
I'm sure it will sell quickly and will have made you a nice profit to compensate all the aggravation you have had.

There wasn't the choice as such as it was a car already ordered but not yet arrived but saying that, it was in one of my top of the list colours, another was available but I had already said at the beginning of the meeting that I would prefer to not have that colour.

It's going to be Black magic pearl effect, my top two choices were black magic or petrol blue so it worked out brilliantly, my least favourite was white. To be honest with you, if that had been the only choice or face a 30-35 week wait, I would have gone for the white and just closed my eyes when walking to it, once you're in it, you don't notice the colour!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It's both, of course. I just think that while the additional land and the "only one set of neighbours" thing are obvious advantages - and so is the easier access to the back of the property - the capacity to make better use of the downstairs space is less obvious but actually more significant than people realise. They walk in and find that the room at the front is the size it is and like it without realising that it would be significantly smaller if the entrance was at the front.

Bought a single duvet set, "in case I go camping again" - as next time I intend to camp with a single duvet/cover (not a sleeping bag). Also got two small books to dip into.

I don't do tents, but in a caravan I find the best replacement for a sleeping bag is a king size duvet folded in half, so I can sleep between the two halves of it.
