Or, if it were to go belly-up with your present agent, at a time when you need a quick sale, you have another agent's name in your mind.
Out of interest, how would this new agent know what deal you have with your agent?(I just lurve spiders!)

In our current house, we saw that there was a WC under the stairs. At first I didn't spot that there was a shower in there as well, as the understairs didn't have room for it (it took out an unusable corner of the kitchen IFYSWIM).There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

I haven't seen the listing (hint). Would buyers give it a miss because of no loo pictures? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Well, it looks tidy enough to me - especially as you'd almost given me the impression that you were like the old woman who lived in a shoe, just without all the kids
The decor looks uncluttered and presentable which is all that's needed IMO - prospective purchasers will be more considering the potential for them should they buy it, rather than how it is now.
The only things that would put me off are all things you can do nothing about, namely; all the industrial units around, the fact that the parking is outside the boundary (but, then, you don't like that either) and what appears on the satellite view to be a flat roof over the middle houses extending across nearly half of your property - I'm not a fan of flat roofs, much prefer ones that the rain can run off easier rather than settling and finding its way inside.
With regards to the listing, most of it looks good but the floor plan "draughtsperson" needs a talking to
They've managed to insert a non-existent "joggle" in the exterior wall, implying that the kitchen/breakfast room is wider then the living room - although the measurements indicate that as well, so maybe the joggle is on the party wall cos it doesn't show in the external pics.
They've also, somehow, given the impression that upstairs is several feet shorter than downstairs, again not borne out by the external pics.0 -
I suppose the thing is to try and be detached from it all, but that's a lot easier said than done!
I've only bought four times, and only two were actually my homes, and I never mastered the 'staying detached' bit!
Me neither! Our neighbour's house is being scaffolded and windows covered in newspaper. I assume their claim against their builder's insurers for work done 12 years ago is being dealt with. Not totally happy with living next door to an empty property and one where work is going to happen.
I've been living next to an empty house having work done for a while. It's just finished and the people have moved in. The only time it was really a nuisance was when they were doing things with drills or angle grinders or something either early on weekend mornings or else when I was off sick from work. As a bonus, the new neighbours came round with flowers and chocolates when it was all finished to apologise for any inconvenience.I haven' t posted for a couple of days because I had a cataract operation on Wednesday:j I am getting on all right so far, and now know that the red geraniums my neighbour has grown in a pot on the garden wall are actually bright pink
Using the computer is a bit tricky atm since the type looks bigger with one eye than with the other, and the eye that's been "done" is still a bit blurry.
Aged P said it was all very weird when one eye had been done and not the other yet, but it didn't last forever (6 weeks or 12 weeks or something like that between one eye and the other one), and it was all wonderful once he'd had the second one done. He ended up with better vision than he'd had for decades.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I feel cheeky asking but is there any possibility of a PM too PN?
Me too if you would be so kind, PN.Ordered my new car today.
Yay! :j

... flat ...not borne out by the external pics.
The flat thing is bit of a "local style" - you see it in many houses of more modern construction.
You're right; I'd not noticed the layout/plan .... I'd not looked. That's not the plan I bought from .... they appear to have dug up something else. I've just checked and they do appear to have used the wrong layout... what I bought from is the correct version.
EDIT: Phoned them, plan will be swapped out with the right one.
If you click to go to sold prices and find mine there, then go to the layout on that record it shows it correctly.
Cheers for spotting that. I didn't as I didn't "inspect" it as I assumed it wouldn't be rocket science for them as they sold it before, so it's their old plan0 -
Oooh, hope you're all ok, Ivy. I believe it does take a while to settle down.
Then you'll start seeing all your wrinkles (if you have any!) and all the dust on things, and all the smears on the glass! :rotfl:
Not that I'm saying that you're wrinkly, or that your house is dirty or anything.................

Oh God, yes, I can now see myself properly in the mirror and the least said the better  One of my eyebrows is noticeably higher than the other (no idea why; it didn't used to be! I shall keep practicing raising the other one, in the hope they'll eventually matchand I have a big "bag" under the eye that's always been the more short-sighted until recently, caused by a particular pair of glasses where the left lens rested on that area. In those days I could only get glass lenses for my prescription, and they were very heavy. I had one pair that weighed two ounces, which is a lot to carry around on one's face.
