I haven' t posted for a couple of days because I had a cataract operation on Wednesday:j I am getting on all right so far, and now know that the red geraniums my neighbour has grown in a pot on the garden wall are actually bright pink
Using the computer is a bit tricky atm since the type looks bigger with one eye than with the other, and the eye that's been "done" is still a bit blurry.0 -

Oooh, hope you're all ok, Ivy. I believe it does take a while to settle down.
Then you'll start seeing all your wrinkles (if you have any!) and all the dust on things, and all the smears on the glass! :rotfl:
Not that I'm saying that you're wrinkly, or that your house is dirty or anything.................

I' don't live near Heathrow but there's a bus passing the end of my road that goes straight to the airport for a cheeky £1.50 using the Oyster card! :jI feel cheeky asking but is there any possibility of a PM too PN?

I think that looks really nice.
Lovely neat lawn and garden, clean inside and although I agree with Michaels re the gaps in the kitchen, very well presented.
Normally I would prefer something a little extra on the walls but I think the vases of flowers cover that.
Lovely looking house with plenty of space. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Ordered my new car today. I went for a Skoda Karoq in the end as it was the only car that gave the height, diesel, electronic handbrake and boot room for the wheelchair for a reasonable advance payment and that was actually available to be ordered. It has been a most frustrating search, I would identify possible vehicles, go to the dealerships but because new models were on their way to coming out, the vehicles were not available to order just yet. Or the other one, a shortage of automatic gear boxes so no orders being taken, vehicle being removed from list, so no orders being taken or find a perfect vehicle but a sky high advance payment.
Saying that though, it is a lovely car and I can get in and out a fair bit easier than my current car and there are some lovely little touches included (brolly, ice scraper). We have had to compromise on the size but the upside of that is that I won't be treated as the family bus anymore especially on Christmas day as I won't be able to get two of my boys plus me, plus my brother's family in the car at the same time.
Initially I thought I would have a fair bit of a wait as there have been delays for most manufacturers but because they need to get their figures up for September and because the wait could take me way over my lease end, a car ordered with the intention of being a demo car at the dealership, will instead be tagged to me. It's not in the country yet (so has not been used as a demo car, or even registered) but is on it's way and it should be available for the beginning of next month instead of the next Jan/Feb (or possibly later, currently a 30-35 week wait but that is anticipated to drop soon as things have got moving (WTLP related)) it would have been.
One bonus of it being ordered to be a demo car, free upgrades which I am not having to pay for!
Now to get the advance payment together in a hurry instead of the several months I thought it was going to be....bank of mum and dad might have to be approached :rotfl:We made it! That's great news, Sue!
Exciting stuff!
I've never heard of a car coming with a brolly before!
Is that instead of windscreen wipers?:D

All counted up, I've probably spent £400-500 getting it to this point with the handyman, paint/brushes etc, curtains/rings/hooks, lightbulbs/lampshades, garden slate/bark/mini fences & fence restorer, working/usable postbox, window washing pole, unit for TV, vases, pictures/canvas, wall clock, faux flowers, quilt for faux bed, tablecloth, faux fruit for bowl, new front door mat, fripperies and fuel. And, prior to that, nearly £1000 on fence repairs and new gate.
Most of that you'll still have, to jazz up your new home!
So mind you don't leave it all packed up in boxes for another 8 years! :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)

Ah I meant that with the vases, it doesn't need the pictures as the vases give the splash of colour and personalisation needed....I might have to borrow that at some point in the future!
Personally I thought the garden looks very nice indeed but then I'm not really a huge garden flower fan anyway. I see flowers in garden and think, begger that is going to take lots of effort to keep neat and weed free.We made it! House looks nice, I'd second the point about including a photo of the downstairs WC as its not obvious from the floorplan. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
