Thank you so much, everyone. You are lovely :A
Oh Sue, that really does sound just right for Joe :T I'm so glad. How are you feeling now?
Oh, and I need to know - hoe does a laundry app work?
It is perfect for him, he has been so very lucky to be in the flat he is in...the one across the hall is party central! Luckily the sound proofing is excellent and they can't hear a thing.
As for me, tired but it's my normal kind of tired instead of ill tired and I am still loving my new job, the people I get to meet and talk to stops me feeling lonely now that the house is empty.
Talking about an empty house, it wasn't for a couple of days this week as Joe had an appointment at the hospital with the endocrinologist so he came home for a couple of days. They can't do anything about his height so he will not grow any taller than the 5ft he is now and the cause has been the high dose steroids he has had to take for his asthma since he was a baby (first dose at just a few weeks old due to being prem and his lungs not being fully developed). A bit gutting but without the steroids he wouldn't have made it to adulthood so on reflection, it is better to be a little on the short side than dead. He also may have difficulties fathering children as his LH level is abnormal but the hope is because his testosterone is a healthy level that there is still a hopeful chance. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Hey guys, I’m in Georgia at the moment (have been since very early Friday morning) and I’ve been really busy for the last few days.
Planning to relax today, then have to arrange times for several ‘I’ll organise it when I get there’ meetings that are business-related around commitments that have been planned and working on very limited time, so may not be online again until a few days after I get back.
Sorry to hear your news Ivy, it’s never easy and sending hugs to you.
Take care💙💛 💔0 -

You itemise what you are sending, arrange a pick-up slot. The laundry fairy arrives and collects, as soon as 24 hours later, at a pre-arranged slot, the fairy returns with beautifully washed, ironed, pressed clothes.
Discounts for bulk orders, so I guess they group together their clothes and are all standing in their underwear waiting for their clothes to go to work!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Sounds ideal, but may also go some way to explaining why it is so hard to save for a mortgage deposit these days.I think....0 -
Credit card fraud:
Card stopped.
Fraudster phones credit card company;
CCC: let me take you through security. Mother's maiden name?

I am slightly concerned about this CC company where you can log in using details on the card alone and who are so lax on phone security. Are you able to name and shame so the rest of us can avoid/set up additional security?
Please don’t quote this post as it will be heavily edited later.

On the otherside.
The fraud guy thinks the email account was hacked and that was the start of the deception. The fraud team are actually the ones that were on the ball.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Re the somewhat lighter issue of laundry apps. I have one of these for my timeshare. We always stay at a studio rather than one of the larger apartments as there are only two of us. As a result we don't have a washer drier. But there are four pools, two with cafe bars. All have laundry facilities.
So when I want to do the laundry, normally mid holiday, I check which pool has free washers and drivers using the app and pop over to that one so I'm not waiting around. I tend to sit in the shade by the pool, coffee or cold drink in hand with perhaps a snack, while the washing goes round. Doing the washing is lovely and not a burden this way. I take my tablet too, as there is free WiFi.
I have been on here many times while actually poolside there, but I never say when I'm going as I worry in case someone has worked out where I live. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
