Maybe an offer won't appear until the card has been used a bit more in anger, not just for balance transfers. A few select transactions here or there (not too big though) might be enough to kick it into life.0

Hey guys, Im getting this offer:
Interest rate: 6.9% until paid in full
Seems like this is the same one. Thinking of going for it, my only problem is that my account is almost maxed out and I have no where else to transfer the money then transfer it back again to barclaycard as I have been rejected up to 4 cards in the past 6 months and I am not going to try my luck again!0 -
If I did a £3000 balance transfer to my barclaycard using the current 6.9% offer, how much interest a month would it incur?
My calculations make it about £18, but not sure whether this is right or wrong?0 -

£16.83 or there abouts, it's a monthly rate of 0.561%, so depends on payment date, statement date and when the transfer was made. :beer:0 -
hi , i phoned up about this offer 4 times and each time they said yes its available to you , the last time i phoned up was may 12th , the lady said for me to transfer my balance from Barclaycard onto any other existing cards i own and then transfer back to get the 6.9 for life, so on may 15th i cleared my balance from barclaycard onto 2 other cards , i phoned up today, may 16th and get told there is no offer, the 6.9% for life ended on may 15th ( conveniently the same day my whole balance left barclaycard) anyone know where i stand with this ? i complained and they said they put a request to the transfer department to have the offer reinstated on my account. but if its refused im in big trouble. thanks0

I just took advantage of a 12 months deal as an existing BC customer.
0% and usual 2.5% fee.0 -

Was that showing online or did you have to phone up? My usual 6.9% LOB (now 2.9% fee) has reappeared. But a long time since I saw any other deals.0 -

I currently have an offer of 0% for 6 months on mine. My better half has the 6.9% life of balance offer that I have had in the past. So it seems that it changes every so often and varies from customer to customer0 -

This may be of some use to some of you:
Out of curiosity I sent Barclaycard a message on their new online messaging system asking why I have such a limited offer compared to others I had heard of.
Their response was that the 6.9% life of balance deal IS actually available on my account also, but only by phone. They listed 3 different offers currently available to me, including the current one shown on my online account, but advised me that the other 2 can only be obtained by phoning them.
So worth checking if you are not happy with the deal they are offering you online.

Barclaycard Simplicity is/was my favourite CC. The interest rate of 6.8% (0.553%/month) is a really cheap way to borrow money when needed.
What worries me is the new T&C regarding transaction fees (mentioned in my last statement).. now instead of 15.8% rate for cash advances I will probably have to pay 2.99% of the value of the transaction. Same fee applies to lottery ticket purchases and some other specific transactions. I must remember not to pay for my lottery tickets with Barclaycard now.
