FBO forgive me if I'm way off the mark, but someone sent me a link to some reading around something that often pops up in CBT, when I was studying different approaches. I found it really interesting and helpful, and I wondered if you wanted to take a look? It's from an Australian health website.

Apologies if it's not appropriate / helpful xxxBossymoo

Blimey have you all got that Friday feeling?
- I was chucking fluffy mules at FBO.
FBO please don't put yourself down. You have enormous inner strength that we can all see even if the BD is getting in the way of your view atm. Keep nudging him and he'll move eventually.
atb, enjoy your 4 littlies - I was exhausted after 3 hours of watching just DGS4 yesterday. I must have sung "Dingle Dangle Scarecrow" with all the actions at least 20 times! He is now trying to talk non-stop, though sometimes it just comes out as gibberish, and his latest phrase is "Watch this, Granny!" Such fun, and very cute
pigpen, please don't forget to give us a sneak view of your DD3 in her prom outfit. Have the sticky plasters come off Dot's arm now?
Flying today has consisted of another 3x WM (hung out, but it's not a good drying day - plenty of wind up in the trees, but our back garden is very sheltered), watering plants, re-making the spare bed, and generally tidying round. This evening DH has gone to war games club and I am skiving off choir practice to do a big shop. Then tomorrow I can work in the garden: I have a fence to demolish. NDNs are now back from their holiday and will help DH to lift and slot in the new panels next week
Have a good weekend, everyone x0 -
Thanks bossy extremely relevant. Hopefully I can put some of it to good use.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0

Sending some strength and small-person-coping vibes to atb.
And yes as well as working 33 hours this week I have taken my father to a hospital appointment, bought and delivered a birthday present for SIL, ordered and collected DSs prescription, washed and ironed all the laundry, done a full food shop, cooked a meal every night, put the recycling out, kept the house clean(ish) and booked some train tickets for DS. Like everyone else says my DH works hard but thats all he does - except a bit of gardening and maybe an odd bit of washing up.
Bossy, interesting, I will read that too.
So feet up now, my week is done. Hope DS2 getting a lift home from his girlfriends, or DS1 might collect him. I am in my jim jams!0 -
The news is out...I am going to be working in Y1, three full days a week, from September. No more afternoons! Won't have to travel in 5 days a week!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Iona.. yes we took the plasters off before bed tonight.. she has 5 visible dissolving stitches in the inner elbow.. she thinks they are wonderful.. Squeak took one look and went utterly hysterical.. I think I may have a squeamish daughter.. how the blooming nora did that happen?????????
Valli sounds like excellent news..
I'm starved.. I thought we had food in the 2nd freezer but there was not thing, it was in fact turned off.. OH went to shop, I asked for rice krispies but he didn't get any.. and while he was out I asked him to grab my chips from the takeaway but he had no money to get them... paid contactless so had left wallet at home.. so I have nothing to eat. I am so hungry I could cry.
OH is asleep on the sofa.. I'm lonely, fed up and already having panic attacks about our holiday which isn't until the middle of August..
And I haven't got time to do houseworky rubbishLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning All,
FBO, Huge hugs to you xxx I hope you enjoy the dive today.
Valli - that's fab news :j x
Piggers - hope you are feeling brighter (and less hungry) this morning x
Is it lunchtime yet?! :rotfl: They were all up at 5.30 so have been fed and are currently playing nicely-ish. Plan is to head to the park or soft play depending on the weather. I currently have a chicken in the oven which will form the basis of theirs and my meals for the weekend.
Best get on, I am being hollered! xMFW

Morning all, hope the weather's a little brighter with you than it is here. It looks depressingly grey out there.
Not much planned here today, though I do need to send the hoover round upstairs and need to do some washing up.0 -
The two smaller fence panels have been demolished
I will take the pieces to the tip later.
First I'm going to take a break with a well-earned cuppa - it's hot and sticky out there
Meant to say: Valli, well done on your new sig line - great progress :T And your new working hours will cut down on your petrol consumption0 -
I'm throwing every spare bit at it, thanks for the comment Ionafan. Yes, I am really pleased I wont be travelling to work so much, that's a time and a petrol saving. I find I dont get a lot done when I am at work every afternoon, I leave at about 11:30.
Just made some more rhubarb and ginger jam - made £26 for cancer research selling jam to my colleagues so far. I've also sorted out my jars, and separated pickle jars from jam.
And I have a SW (crustless) quiche in the oven for lunch.
Oh I have emptied my butt too - water, in the garden...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
