Dot has had her cast removed today and is more distressed by the sticky plasters on the holes where the pins were than she was by the cast.
I managed to run the dishwasher and one washing machine and that was it.. nothing got hung out and the pots didn't get put away.. I decluttered a nap though this afternoon because I was just utterly crashed.. the school runs are killing me, not even slowly!

FBO putting off the work sounds like a good idea, so does the exercising. Hope things improve x
And Valli it must be hideous in this heat, a colleague at work is suffering too.
Same old, same old here. Did gym class, then 9 hours paid stuff yesterday, then two loads of clean washing sorted, ironed and put away, jambalaya made for tea and kitchen cleaned up. The other three members of my family mostly did nothing last night and then wondered why I was a bit grumpy. Nothing new there.
Up at 6am to look at our finances, package up a parcel that needs to be returned and put on wm. More paid stuff today then cycling later if I can summon the energy.
Have a good Thursday everyone x0 -
Morning All,
I was really grumpy last night. Feel like I am the one spinning all of the plates - work/money/children/organising life/ etc etc. DH works very hard but so do I, and I still have to run every other aspect of our life! So I went to bed early and left him downstairs.
YL - I feel your pain love. I am sick of there being 4 people in this house yet only 1 who actually tidies up/cleans!
Feel a bit brighter this morning but still a bit run ragged. A week all inclusive, in the sun, by myself, sounds perfect just now!
I have done some work for DH this morning, assessed our finances, stuck a wash on and fed kiddies. Paid stuff this morning then taking some rellies to the airport.
Better dash, DW needs unloading xMFW

Wish I could put off work completely. But my sick note runs out at the end of the month so I need to pick up some temping. The active work I'm postponing is on my 'new' CV.:DGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Hello, can I come back?
I've missed you all, I must have been away for a couple of months. I've just been crazily busy, and felt guilty even taking time to read the thread. But the place is suffering from a lack of structure. Random sporadic housework doesn't work!
We've had builders in for the last four weeks, which is great but there is dust everywhere.
I have today got some time, so I'm going to try to get somewhere.
ATB I know what you mean about plate spinning. It's "the mental load", have a look at the cartoon on the Internet. It is exhausting.
Oh well, I need to get something done then!
Hugs all roundxx

It sounds as if we are all madly busy at the moment. I've just hopped back to what I 'planned' on Monday to see whether I've actually achieved anything. It has been incredibly hot here so that hasn't helped.
Today (Mon): [STRIKE]got solar panel review am.[/STRIKE] cancelled as they were flogging something we didn't want and were insured against
[STRIKE]I've got an assessment to do at uni pm.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Need to finish writing up a report.[/STRIKE]Done and emailed
Tomorrow: [STRIKE]zumba then a frantic catchup.[/STRIKE] Another report to write up,hoping I can finish that before we go away today! [STRIKE]house to fly round[/STRIKE] flutter and crawl sums it up , [STRIKE]church group in eve[/STRIKE].
Wed: [STRIKE]Assessment at uni[/STRIKE] and meet [STRIKE]Mr N at his last-day-at-work pub/meal escapade. 2 other colleagues are leaving the same day (although not retiring like him). Question: I first met Mr N when he was 27; how can he be retiring?......[/STRIKE] He is now officially retired and will probably be the major flyperson in the family (he is anyway) as he's so much more.....efficient....houseproud....than I am
Thurs: Even more frantic catch up then we are off to Birmingham for 2 nights. I'm going to a conference on Friday and Mr N to the motor bike museum. Then we're going to Cornwall for 5 nights. So some careful planning needed, not the least of which is because we're going on the motor bike and can't over-pack. More or less packed. Kitchen tidied, bins emptied, all downstairs vacuumed, wudupa, surfaces wiped,
plants watered, mum phoned.
Well not quite as bad as I feared; flying has been patchy and intermittent but the place isn't too bad. Picked a load of strawberries/loganberries/redcurrants this am but of course they will be at their peak while we are away.
Hope things pick up for those of you who are struggling, keep at it and lots of sticks thrown for BDs. Where's LW these days?
I'll probably lurk from Cornwall and will doubtless keep the rented apartment far more spotless than our house ever is.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Hello!
I've been out most of today so have designated tomorrow a day of flying! Been to purchase paint. They don't have 5l cans so had to get 4 of the 2.5l instead but that's ok I'm sure, I think the decorator said get 1x 10l but they don't do this paint in that size. Ah well.
Also looked at some flooring. Spoke to stepdad who is going to sort my squeaky landing when the carpet is up, and he said he will lay my hallway flooring if I want to choose some. He's coming next week so will find out how much I need. I have a good idea now of what I want, and so it's just a case of getting it done.
I've looked at furniture paint to upcycle what storage I already have, and I think it will cost as much with all the varnish and getting the right tools for a good job as it would be to buy a new one
Cleaned conservatory of piggy stuff. That's all I've done really!
Not much else will happen either as we've got gymnastics and football next! Plus I might be collecting another child from school.
Ah well, there's always tomorrow hahaBossymoo

Evening,
Level ones all done today and level two of the kitchen (this bit was easy as we haven't got very much kitchen at all, due to new one being put In) , plus an Internet shop and visit to the gym with OH.
Off to take the dog for a quick evening constitutional, catch you all tomorrow xx0 -

However, in the name of flying, I did clear the ironing pile this morning. That was before I had to take DD to school in the opposite direction to work as she missed her bus  . Don't you just love it when it's going to be one of those days??! I also dusted the bedroom, landing and spare room, more in anger than serenely, it has to be said. I think that was about it. I've just tidied the kitchen and swept the floor. Anything else (that'll be the bathroom..again) will have to wait until the morrow.
Group ((hugs)) all round. X0
