Peace reigns, back to just our 2 kids :)

This weekend has been tiring, so kiddies are having a very early bath, which will be followed by a picnic tea then bed. I'll be having a lovely glass of wine to celebrate surviving the weekend!

Bossy - DD is 4, but in 6-7/7-8 stuff. PM me if there's anything that could fit as we may buy :)

All laundry is done so I'm :j with that. Just ordered tiles for downstairs loo splash back, now to find a handyman to tile.

It was a bikeATB and some dressing up stuff.

If she's 4 and in 7-8 they won't fit her either! DD can't get them over her shoulders!

Stepdad has been and said how much flooring I need and is coming tomorrow to grab the old stuff for his burner! And hopefully to sort some creaks.

Need to go take carpet up!

Boss had genius idea to include photos in the reports, of the whole year. We found this out about 4 weeks ago. It's taken me at least 10 hours to find, copy, paste, resize and/or crop 120 pictures.

    and breathe...

In other news I have been shopping for weedkiller. And plant food. I feel old now :rotfl:

    Hi all,

Not been able to keep up with the thread this week but my house is looking so much better one week in. It' not perfect and I haven't managed to get all the list done due to a trip away and DD having a CVS episode.

CVS (cyclical vomiting syndrome) is a rare chronic disorder. DD has an episode at least once a month lasting for 12h to a few days where she is sick 2-8 time an hour on average and experiences pain/tiredness/fever/disorientation/dehydration/hypoglycemia. 6 hospital admissions last year! Add DS's special needs to the mix and you get one very tired stressed out mummy with a very messy house!

Hoping to get more of the list completed next week :)

I feel old too. This fence had better last at least ten years, with all the love, care and timber preserving paint I've lavished on it! I took the car load of old fence bits to the tip early this morning, went to church, cooked lunch and then persuaded DH to help me slot in all the new panels. The last one had to be carefully taken apart, bent slightly to fit into the slotted posts at ground level rather than dropping it in from above because of an overhanging fascia (obviously added to the house later than the fence posts), reassembled and touched up with paint. There is also a very narrow panel at the road end of the fence in a size which is impossible to buy "off the peg", so I have replaced the rotten slats and battens and repainted that to match too. We still have one gap because I ordered the wrong number of panels, but the best of the old ones of the right size simply wasn't worth saving, so I shall phone up tomorrow and order another new panel, even if I have to pay carriage. I'm hoping to persuade the firm to deliver it to me free or at least cheap, the next time they're in our area. It's taken me three months to get this far - a couple more weeks' wait won't hurt :)

Four hot showers in two days was more of a necessity than a luxury ;)

I am now hoping to persuade DH to take me out for a meal tonight instead of me having to cook, 'cos I'm worn out :p

Liked your cunning plan, Bossy! :rotfl: Sorry it didn't work.

See you all on the new thread later.
