I have washed up, prepped tomorrow's lunch, mopped a sticky patch on kitchen floor, ironed, brought in washing, set another load to go and prepped my breakfast...

    And updated my sig:j

Sending lots of spoons your way Pigpen, and plenty of kicks for the BD. Biscuit welcome back. Narc0 I'm sure LW said she was off on holiday for the week. Yay :T Valli on your updated sig.

Zero flying has been done here as we went out to the Lakes all day, went on the Gruffalo trail with DD, and celebrated my Grandad's 94th birthday with chocolate cake! Back on it again in the morning, as we've left piles of things in various places having got back late. Also need to hunt out the mortgage info, as the advisor has contacted DH to say that they want to discuss the mortgage in light of DH's car crash claim now going to court. Not sure how that matters, but DH wonders if it has something to do with our fixed rate coming to an end. Hence the need to get out the paperwork as I can't remember when the fixed rate finishes.

'See' you all in the morning.

Wow, you mean other people are actually capable of doing stuff?? Amazing!! I thought I was the only one here with arms and legs!!

I did a total slacker dinner.. beans and toast with fried eggs and hotdogs so of course I was presented with a whole set of empty plates!!

DD3 had her nail appointment for her prom, DS3 picked up his new specs and we made an appointment for hair mincing for him. Dot had a school trip.. why do the school make me feel like a crazy parent because I like a text so I know they got there safely.. am I really so demanding? We had a text saying the head only had £7 of sponsors to cycle to school on one day so why am I asking so much?

Anyway, other than decluttering the contents of the bank I have achieved nothing at all.

    Morning All,

Lovely to see you back BM and thanks for that - I googled the mental load and almost wept, it's painfully true isn't it. I may have to seek your advice again as we have yet another non-payer  xx

Feeling decidedly fed up today. This isn't like me, i normally shake it off within a day or so, but I just feel worn out and sick of looking after everyone else, no b****er looks after me! I ranted and cried at DH last night, and he gave me that slightly bemused look that men do so well. He is now working away for a week, inc weekend, and it just happens to coincide with the weekend that has been booked for months of us looking after my nephew and niece. So 4 kids under the age of 6 all weekend. Solo. I need wine just at the thought!

Right, chin up, lippy on, this attitude will get me nowhere. Feel free to ignore the above moan :rotfl:

    Have fab days all x

Oh lordATB I'd come to help but we have rather a full weekend of rehearsals and galas :(

I've told this story before but when ds was a babe in arms and I was on mat leave my dh used to joke about what I did all day. So one weekend I took off with friends overnight. I left a note of ds feeding routine and even made up some bottles in the fridge. Nappy supplies and clothing laid out.

When I returned humble wasn't the word! Dh was still wearing the same clothes:eek: although they were both fed and baby was clean. He never commented again and was far more hands on at home after that! When dd arrived 19months after ds, he begged me not to do it again:rotfl:

Even in this day and age, regardless of whether the woman works outside the home or not, there is still the assumption that she runs the ship too. And part of that is our own assumptions and standards xx

Haha having said that I'm cleaning all day today lol

Thanks Bossy you're too kind xx The kiddies will enjoy it, which is the main thing, I am just going to do a sundance and pray for good weather so we can get out and about.

Righty, lippy on, let's face the day :D

Yesterday was a dead day again. Today MUST be better. Please kick/throw fluffy mules:

    1) Counselling assessment meeting - hopefully I can get assigned someone to talk to. I'm doing my head in.

    2) Weekly shop - Need to use up some of the 30 chicken breasts in the freezer

    3) Just FINISH the so*ding CV and get it to rescruitment consultant so I have a hope of a job a week on Monday.

    4) Pack for diving tomorrow. I do NOT want to go, but need to.

    5) DW on/unpack/reload. Clean kitchen

    6) Make up spare room for overnight visitor on Sunday.

    7) Timetable for next week.

    8) Lay out ParkRun kit for tomorrow. I need to do some exercise. Badly. It's the end of our 3 month weigh in on Monday. I stayed the same in the last 3 month challenge and I am determined not to have put anything on this time.

9 & 10. Something will no doubt come to me.

Grass cut and living room done. Next job is to wipe the bannister and hand rails. Won't vac the stairs as I'm ripping the carpet up tomorrow!

After that I'm going to see if I can chip the beading off the bottom of the skirting so the old laminate will come out. Yikes.

    Expecting new neighbours today...

Blimey have you all got that Friday feeling?

Well I think I'm done for today, I've washed the bannister down and started chipping beading from the skirting boards. Have also done some organising of college files to get them put away and cleaned the kitchen after dinner - was an early one, hungry kiddies.

Met new neighbours, seem nice. Just stuck a wash on - rain forecast tomorrow so if I'm drying indoors anyway I might as well get a head start.

    That's all from me :)
