Evening all. I've just flopped down, not sure where today went. I don't think that I have moved very fast, which is my excuse for doing, errrr, very little off the list :o. Actually, now I read it again, I've done nothing from it apart from collect up washing and get that washed and dried. That has created a mini ironing mountain, which I am saving for first thing tomorrow morning. What a treat!

No work tomorrow, so I'm hoping to actually get a few things done. And to post on here, of course :p. Starting the morning with a dog walk rather than our usual run, as the thought of dripping our way round the paths is not attractive!

    Morning all.
Day at the paid stuff, towels to peg out. They'll be like crispbreads when I get home :rotfl:

Really struggling with the heat at the moment and feeling too tired to do anything...

Managed to work on the laundry basket of gubbins in the kitchen on Monday, coralled all the light bulbs, torches, etc that were lurking in it into a shoe box and find a more sensible home for them. (They used to live in the cupboard under the stairs, till DS1 bought himself a massive tool cabinet that takes up all the space there... Various 'little' items now need re-homing. Like the tub of bungee cords, bits for decorating, vacuum cleaner and carpet cleaner...

Keeping up with the laundry, but luckily for me, we don't have much that needs ironing.

    Morning.
Bedding changed from our bed and in the WM. Hoping to get mattress covers in afterwards, just because I can get them dry. QHI done. Funny how little needs ironing when I put my mind to it! Grocery shopping to do, so I'm just writing a list. I intend to be there for as short as time as possible.

Catch you all later. Have good days.

Morning all, and welcome to newbies

Over the past few days I have done multiple loads of washing, watered the garden a bit (pots/tubs and veg trug only) and done the minimum of prep for my college session yesterday evening. The rest of the time I have felt too tired and unwell to do anything other than basics. I do not like the heat.

I spent yesterday morning at SW - have put on half a stone since the start of the Easter hols and my clothes are tight :(

DH's friend goes home this morning, yeah! (Did I really say that? I did.) DH is taking him into the big city (where he has to change stations) so will be out all day. I have to go to my placement this morning, and this afternoon I need to start making phonecalls and sending texts/emails to make appointments to meet people for individual conversations to glean more info for my placement portfolio - but I should also like to to go to the U3A Family History Group which I haven't attended for months.

Today is DGS1's 9th birthday - how did that happen?
And tomorrow we are going to look after DGS4 while his older brother goes for his first school visit with Mummy and Daddy, before starting full-time in September. Yikes!

Hope everyone keeps cool today x

    Morning all,

Up since 5.45, got a full day of paid stuff so wanted to make sure I had a cool shower and washed my hair beforehand. Plants watered, kiddies and animals fed, I am just making my own breakfast.

Managed to convince MiL to take DD swimming later, which makes the afternoon a bit easier.

I have also ordered some more steamer heads, paid for DD swimming lessons and done an online shop for delivery tomorrow.

Today is the last really hot day I think, we all slept so much better last night as it cooled down considerably but is back up today.

    Have fab days all xx

Morning all, apologies for the lack of posts. I've been flying but not posting.

    Monday
*Gave the sink a really good scrub, inc. taking the rubber feet off the draining rack and giving them a milton (eww they really needed it!)
    *cleaned microwave
*scrubbed inside the door seal of the washing machine (again just a bit grubby!)
    *cleaned the kitchen windowsills
*cleaned the windowsills of the dozens of dead flies that we had sprayed the previous night when they suddenly appeared
    *sorted oven trays
    *swept the patio
*spent time with DD in paddling pool and playing with ice cubes (anything to keep cool  )

    Tuesday
    *meal plan for the week
*spent the morning at DD's signing class, we learnt all the signs for weather, especially hot :rotfl:
*did the weeks shopping while in the bigger town
*dusted the dining area in the kitchen and hall
    *cleaned the hall window
*wiped down the front door inside and out
    *put washing on
    *ironing

Think we all slept better last night thanks to the cooler temperature. But could be in for an interesting day weatherwise, weather forecast says it could be VERY hot today, but then we could also be in for some terrible thunderstorms that could cause power cuts

    Today's plan is to:
*clean bathroom (don't have tiles or floor to do at the moment as we don't have tiles and just floorboards :D )
*change towels and put on hot wash
    *put my prescription in
    *get woofers medicine from pharmacy
*and if the weathers conducive, plant out seedlings that have grown into mini plants

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. Hope you all have a good day.

    6) Re-plan meals. Ate crap yesterday so tonight is what I took out for me for last night. Also now out on Thursday.
    8) Hoover Stairs, Hall and Spare bedrooms
[STRIKE]10) Get to bed at a sensible time. I didn't turn the light off until 2330 and was still awake at 0300. Not good. I need at least 7 hours.
    [/STRIKE]

OK. Still a couple left from yesterday, but lights were out at 11pm and I surfaced properly at 0800. I feel almost human:D

    Today:

    1) Strip bed and remake. Wash bedding
    2) Freezer audit and Tetris for delivery.
    3) Phone call with Career advisor. Make LOTS of plans:rotfl:
    4) Bake blueberry muffins
    5) Make up spare room just in case.
    6) Clear study - do ALL the filing and try and locate my yoga sheets.
    7) Do some form of exercise - I've missed yoga and I'm not sure I'll have the energy for boxing tonight. Might try a DVD.
    8) Right myself a timetable. I need set things and times. I can feel the depression creeping up and that is dangerous.
