The flights were booked through a third party so Emirates will not deal with me directly only with the third party. We were originally offered  etickets for future use but have asked for a refund for the return flights.
which third party? was it a proper travel agent or one of the online ticket flogger sites?
What have the third party said when you asked for a status of the refund for the unused flights?
  • Hi all - some advice please. A school football coaching trip to Valencia was booked 18 months or so ago for my two boys. A package deal including flights, transfers, hotel, food and coaching/playing over there.   Then came Covid - and the whole operation was delayed.  Its now being re-established for next year. A whole year late.  We immediately said no thanks when that was first suggested - but were obliged to carry on with payments while the school sorted things out with the travel company.
A year later is no good for us though - one lad has other pre-booked commitments then and the other will be doing exams - not the right time to be flying off.
The travel company is talking about only refunding the balance, and not the £200pp deposit.  Are they within their rights to do that? Surely not?
    Advice gratefully accepted. Thanks.
