Oh that reminds me, I want to do a cake for my niece's welcoming ceremony, but she'll be 8 months by then so young baby items are out, especially the things she'll aready have been given when she was born. Apart from larger size nappies, what else could I include? So far I have a beaker, baby toothbrush and some weaning spoons.

What about bath toys - those foam letters and shapes might look good? Stacking cups?:j

If you are going with bibs you could try and get the toddler ones, the ones with sleeves in. I still use normal everyday bibs on my DD she is 22 months almost and whilst they are good (only ever used pop over head ones cause she could undo velcro at 4 weeks  ) the ones with arms in are better and we have 2 of them :)

Craftylady, your cakes are lovely, I prefer the red one as it looks so bold and bright :) Well done

Anyway ladies, i'm on the scrounge for help (again)... where can I get a box online to put a three tier cake in to send via Royal Mail up North? I need something to fit my cake 22" high (ish) by 12" wide and 12" deep. I've got some squidgy polystyrene filling to pack the cake in firmly but just need a humungous box now.

Also, while the gift tags subject is hot on here, I brought some plain silver tags in Wilco that are ex-xmas ones which I want to use as an ingredients label and I obviously can't put them through a printer so do you think printing onto a sticky label and sticking that to the gift tag would look ok?

Need to ask guys. Going to do some leaflets / facebook advertising as I really could do with the extra cash. Would you recommend I make up some mock ups showing ALL the styles / colours?

Juju, Rusty recommended Defendapack to me, but my cakes are similar dimensions to yours and I couldn't find a box on their website suitable :( Have you had any luck? I ended up buying some on eBay and they weren't exactly cheap.

Kr15snw - I also want to make some leaflets too, have you made any headway with your design?

Bargainbabe give defendapack a ring as they also have boxes which are not on their website and also can make to order etc. :) I found them very helpful
Alternatively look on ebay for the right size not sure on prices but that is how I found defendapack
