irlrip you will probably have to reduce the width, fold in half before rolling

yellow hooded bath towels will be easier to find than a yellow blanket. asda, matalan, john lewis etc

I have tried Asda, Matlan and John Lewis, Mothercare, M&S, Sainsbury's etc. with no luck:cry:

Hi jojo_sapphire, Not come across anything "Bee like" on my travels but this is a long shot- In Home Bargains they have big velvety flowers (fabric padded ones about 18 inch long. Could you put the stem through the middle of your cake and attach some bumbleys? Back to question, where from? They would just be for decoration. Maybe from a cake shop or florist. Like the tiny easter chicks that are available now.

Halloway, why bother posting such a negative post.
'The most stupid and pointless things I have ever heard of' ..... if that is your opinion, why not just log out, or go and read another thread.

Surely by the amount of posts on this thread, actually proves that there are people out there that actually enjoy making these and are impressed by the concept of 'nappy cakes'.
I can honestly say, that all the recipients of my nappy cakes have always been impressed and thankful for such a useful and practical gift, how can it not be welcomed?
I'm sure if you gave any new mom the choice of a either a nappy cake, a baby's new outfit, or a bunch of flowers ........... the nappy cake would always be chosen.

I am very contrite. Mea maxima culpa et cetera. I was trying to be humorous. I was a smidgin drunk at the time and my normally poor judgement was further compromised.

    I am very sorry.

Do you have a poundland near you? they have yellow fleece blankets for a pound in there.

My Dunelm has stopped doing the 1.99 blankets now, but have the more expensive 3.99 ones and they have lemon ones in them.

  • Blimey .... I'm exhausted after reading all the new posts. Fab cakes everyone. And the sock boquets ..... wow!!! Somehow, I don't think I could get my head around them at the mo.

Congrats everyone on the sales. I was beginning to feel a bit left out, hadn't had an order for 3 weeks, then got 2 this week.

My friends and relatives have been handing out my leaflets, and it's amazing just how many of them had said 'I'll ask if I can put one up at my son's/daughters school or nursery'. So I ended up using the 7 stamps I had and posted a leaflet to some nursery's ...... and got a call yesterday from one of them :j . I delivered the cake today and the girl said 'hope you don't mind, but I've put your leaflet on the notice board!!!'
So tomorrow I think I will go and get more stamps and send to the rest of them!!!
A creative mess is better than tidy idleness :D
