Hi Girls, Could I ask the following questions?
On average
What does your 1 tier cake include?
What does your 2 tier cake include?
What does your 3 tier cake include?
Just so I have a rough guide on how and if I can reduce my costs & selling prices if need be.
Love

Ahh Sainsbury's hasn't included nappies this time around in their baby promotion. Sorry about that girls. It's only baby wipes and toiletries etc.

it looks fine though, you will always be more concious than anyone else .... you will never be 100% happy with your work where as others will think it is beautiful
don't be so hard on yourself
Rusty this is a really lovely comment and so true
like you say im not 100% happy
but i will keep at it until i am at at least 99% happy lol
and all the cakes on here are so beautiful so if i can
make mine look nearly as good as yours then i will be happy:D0 -
Going to pad it out with other bits and need to find some cute Winnie the Poog stuff as my friend is a big fan. Baby not due till July so I have some time
I picked up some lovely Winnie The Pooh clothes in Sainsbury's when I popped in to get my half price toiletries. There is 25% off them until 24th Feb.
I'm off back today for some more:o0 -

Sorry - I think I fed the troll. Didn't mean to really but I was already in a mood this morning and that nasty comment just set me off.0 -
Hello to all nappy cake makers,
I have been reading through this thread for the past few weeks in awe of how fantastic your beautiful your cakes and other baby items are, I hvae never posted before as I've never had the confiance to but I felt I needed to to reply to the comment
"I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but 'nappy cakes' are one of the most stupid and pointless things I have ever heard of."
If they are in fact the most pointless and stupid thing you have every seen, which of course you are entitled to your own opinion, there was no need to post it. These ladies are trying to make a little money in hard times and have 'adult time' in their day. From what I have read they are extremely helpful to each other and can be relied upon for help and advice.
Sorry for the mini rant, and probably not the best was to post for the first time but felt strongly about it.
Keep up the fantastic work ladies and i'm sure you will inspire many more people like me :T

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but 'nappy cakes' are one of the most stupid and pointless things I have ever heard of.
'The most stupid and pointless things I have ever heard of' ..... if that is your opinion, why not just log out, or go and read another thread.
Surely by the amount of posts on this thread, actually proves that there are people out there that actually enjoy making these and are impressed by the concept of 'nappy cakes'.
I can honestly say, that all the recipients of my nappy cakes have always been impressed and thankful for such a useful and practical gift, how can it not be welcomed?
I'm sure if you gave any new mom the choice of a either a nappy cake, a baby's new outfit, or a bunch of flowers ........... the nappy cake would always be chosen.A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0
