    Hello everyone

I'm quite new to this thread but have been 'borrowing' tips and ideas for months. I posted last week or so asking for some advise about buying ribbon online and didn't get an answer but was hoping someone might help me still...

I need some advise about posting a cake. I have made a two tier one, cellophaned it up but not sure where to get a sturdy box from to put it in and what to cushion/pack it with before posting it off to my friend.

I've posted a piccie of my cake. Not sure if it is up to your standards but hopefully not bad for an amateur?

Your cake look great. I am sorry I can't help with your questions though. I buy my ribbon from a local florist suppliers, so much cheaper than anywhere else I have seen. Sorry can't help with the box but hopefully someone willcome along and be able to help you.

Thanks for replying. You have given me the idea of trying a few florists locally to see if they would sell me ribbon directly, so THANK YOU!

After dropping the cake of at the hospital for my cousin, her friend it turns out works for the 'National Childbirth Trust'.
They have an event on the 7th March, of which they hand out 'goody bags' to expectant (or new parents) ... can't remember which
Had a call from my cousin yesterday who said that if I can get 150 leaflets to her by the end of this week, for £15, she will put a leaflet in each bag !!!
So now, after printing, cutting and folding, I'm having a well earned cup of tea!! Lets hope it brings some more orders. Especially as I've just spent my 'bath time cake' profit I got this morning on more ink. :rotfl:

I recently bought a 100 mtr roll of florist ribbon from a fancy dress/party shop. I'm sure I paid £3.20 for it ...... but obviously didn't have to pay any postage charges!!
