    Hi Shadsy,

You're not far from me, I didn't realise there was anyone on here quite so close.:)

Good luck with the baby fair. The fair I did before Xmas I took 12 cakes and some boxes of cupcakes. Basically 1 of each single,2 tier and 3 tier in blue, pink, neutral and xmas. I could have sold a couple more of the 3 tiers there probably but you never know. As it was I came home with 4 or 5 I think, a 3 tier yellow then a couple of the single tiers and the 3 tier xmas. We have an estate car and they all fitted in the backseat fine as the dog was in the boot!

Have you posted any pics of your cakes?

    Hi

Where abouts are you? Do you get much business? I'd not really seen anybody advertising nappy cakes round here so thought I would give it a go!

I did post some piccies a while back.

If you already have a baby towel then personally I wouldn't put another in. Main ingredients are nappies obviously but then its up to you what else you add. in mine I add nappies, blanket, sleep suit, vest muslin square and socks then a teddy as the topper.

    Hi

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's help - particularly moonpenny, lrlrip, candyB101, becs and Julie H - sorry if I've left anyone out!

I have tons of ribbon research to do this weekend when DS is in bed but looking forward to getting stuck in to it. When I left work to have a baby I never thought I would have something so creative and fun to do again. I do have my hands full with a toddler all day but it's nice to use my brain a bit more!

Hi CandyB, I spoke to assistant at Asda about Ele’s being cheaper elsewhere but when she scanned it, it was still £3.
Got reply from email, but only to say they had received mine so ----. Asked if they were getting any more of the cream lions they used to do.

Would be nice if they did get something different.

Rusty, did you mean the cream bears with the grey pads or some new ones?

Shadsy, I would love to do a stall.
How do you all manage with transporting your goods? I would imagine you would have to make several journeys or hire a van!

I am just trying some new cakes with bottles in – never used them before, and when I looked at the pack it said 3 mths plus (medium flow) and not to use them in a microwave etc. Never thought to look at this. What does everyone do about this?

I've done 3 fairs in total now and always managed to fit it all in the hatchback of my car. I push the back seats down and somehow manage to get it all in.
I hope you get a reply from Asda I'm keen to know about the soft toys. ;)

Thanks Rusty, for info on bottles. I have got different ones but they are all the cheaper patterned ones. Just got packs of 2 Tommy Tippee ones today from HB reduced to 99p (for the 2)

Shelley, still nothing from Asda! I wish they would put soft toys on their website. Maybe if we all bombard them they might. LOL.

Just curious about transporting to fairs! I am really stuck as I don't drive or have a car. I think they might be a bit big for a bike!!! Still, my son is an electrician with a "works van" so I suppose I could always rope him in to help!
