candy eroski nappies are brilliant i always buy them when i'm in spain. we usually go to caprabo (sp) supermarket and get them there the bonus is that they are loads cheaper than dodot (pampers) the eroski wipes are brilliant too. saves me spending a fortune and having to use half my luggage allowance on nappies n wipes. all the other baby stuff is so expensive... even in the cheapy tourisy shops they want a fortune for childrens clothes. bottles and toys are sooo expensive too!
Hi angelkay,
When I was living there, they had an offer on at 11 euro's for a large pack (sure there were about 90 in them). For a smaller pack of dodot nappies they were 18 euro's  ...... so I bought 4 packs, then ended up bringing them back with me.
I can't say I've noticed a caprabo supermarket.
You are right there, everything is so expensive to do with baby's, it was a nightmare trying to 'nappy cake shop'. Thank god I had Primark else I would never of been able to make up any. Even gave up on the idea of putting in any toiletries as Johnson's shampoo/baby bath etc. was over £3 euro's a bottle (although a slightly larger bottle than here). They only had a choice of 3 brands as well, and they were no cheaper.
I don't know how the spanish can afford to have babies over there.
Talking of babies .........
Having started school this month, my darling 4 year old daughter informs me she now knows how babies are made.
Me ..... thinking on no, not this conversation already .... at her age!!
She goes on to tell me, 'the doctor picks up the skin, fills it with blood, then sticks the arms, legs, hair, etc. etc, etc on' ........... phew, was I relieved !!!! lol .......A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -

hi Rusty,
I now use Bellag's wonderful swirling technique so now use 30 size 3's for a 3 tier. 16 on the bottom, 10 middle and 4 on top.
I have seen this used but cannot figure it out from info I found on the net as bellas always look perfect!!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Ignore my stupid daft comments, I now have a lovely 16 nappy bottom tierI didn't use a bottle though instead I used a muslin square folded and rolled to the size of a nappy.
I think it looks quite good although how Bella managed to go from outside in and make it look so perfect I never know!!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Hi to all!!! Hope you dont mind me dropping in but I have spent the last few days reading through this thread, while recovering from an operation. Your cakes are all fantastic:T .
Julie H: I know just how you feel regarding ideas being copied, it kinda feels great in the begining but then they under cut you and things dont feel so good anymore but that is just business today. I found that you have to come up with newer ideas just to keep one step ahead. Have you tried changing your stock each time you attend the fair? ( not completely but just enough so the competition cant keep up)Hope you dont feel I am butting in or anything, I just thought it may help.
Keep up the good work ladies your cakes are really excellent and a pleasure to look at:beer:If your neighbour's grass is greener, its time to water your lawn!:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Not sure if it is easier or not Shelley, I think it is neater with regards to the shape .... I may well be able to give you some company details for ribbons ... have gone back through that company I mentioned a while ago ... for 20m ribbon I am paying about £4 a roll which is cheapest I have found. Just need to make sure it all goes through ok first
